  • Scene of The Mentalist season 3 finale "STRAWBERRY AND CREAM". I found it awesome that the team worked together. When Lisbon said that if anyone didn't want to take part of it, that would have been ok, it was amazing. And they were all in ;)

I love how Cho was the first to say 'I'm in'. He never questioned Jane's methods however dodgy they seemed, knowing that they would usually get their desired result

All the comments are about the teams willingness to help Jane but there is a very interesting detail revealed here. Cho is more cultured and a compelling character than what meets the eye.

A huge part of Cho's character that people often forget is the mystery of it all. When he first met Summer she said that he was "very committed to this whole man in the Iron Mask routine." We didn't find out until the last episode that his mother worked making wedding dresses. As a gangster turned soldier, it's not surprising that he had so much discipline.
I also think that it might have always been a potential idea in the show to have Cho been approached by the Blake association.

@@henrypeters5291 What people honestly overlook is that in any scene Cho's in a stakeout in he's reading. Him knowing Blake didn't surprise me at all because of that.

In fairness, I think it's two fold. One Lisbon had way more time to think about this. She knew Hightower was innocent for much longer. Second, I think it was more of a group effect, the second Cho joined in, it was guaranteed Rigsby and Vanpelt would as well. But if you want an actual example, look at the season 4 finale where Cho says they are helping Lisbon not Jane after Jane betrayed them.

What a twist it would have been if Cho had turned out to be Red John. The way he continued the poem with that emotionless face he always has... and as he finished it, he would have said: I'm Red John. I would have fell off of my chair.

    • @smurfyday

Such a cliche, shock for the sake of a shock, instead of having characters grow and reveal organically. That's why the series finale was perfect while most series finales are garbage. They render the show meaningless.

@@smurfyday Maybe cliche, but I wouldn't have seen it coming. As everyone Jane was suspicious about turned out to be Red John's men. Would have been interesting if there was someone he never thought about. Which would have made Jane begin to question his instincts. I'm not arguing with you, though. I liked the series and its finale as it is. I was just theorizing.

    movements.
I also think the Van Pelt character would have been fired or suspended a long time ago. Her gullibility and lapses in judgment are not up to par with an elite group as is supposedly the CBI. This is her second love interest gone bad. Shes always wanting to be in the field but she would put the group at risk. Shes not just a rookie after 3 years, she should be more seasoned. The writers could keep her spiritual and optimistic but eliminate her being foolhardy and dumbfounded.

      Lopido
That extremely presumptuous and a plain ridiculous statement.
To assume that people reveal their darkest sides in intimate relationships willingly is absurd. Affairs happen, many don’t get caught. Sexual abuse of children happens more often than many think- and their spouse has no idea.
Reading into someone who is deceitful and good at it is harder than you imagine.

    • @alexs2351

@@zain4019 no theyre right. Agents who operate the the best have a psychological profile of low agreeableness (leading to greater scepticism towards people). Grace is too kind and willing to see the best in people. She's not suitable for this kind of job.

    • @tabithaprovan957
      @tabithaprovan957 2 роки тому +4

When the chips were down she filled her own fiance full of lead as soon as she realized she needed to/had the chance.
Patrick Jane himself met O'Laughlin and suspected nothing. He spent years working around people who were corrupt and even he didn't notice right away--Bertram, Shettrick, he didn't know about Smith, Kirkland, or Anderson until they became deadly, and he met Red John towards the beginning of the series and had no clue it was him. Lisbon's team were terrifyingly isolated in their virtuousness, and Grace certainly belonged with them for that reason, amongst others.
