Jane didn't destroy the bureau. It wasn't him who founded the criminal association within law enforcement agencies. And it wasn't Jane's fault that Bertram had long been one of them.

This was one of my favorite episodes. It really showed how much Jane cares about Lisbon and accually won't work with anyone else
It showed how much Jane loved Lisbon and would endlessly manipulate situations to ensure she remained close to him, but only in a professional context, so he could keep her at arms length, emotionally. It was a bit enraging. He would never let her move on and away from him, but also wouldn't let her get as close to him as she desired.

One of the reasons we're able to forgive the writers for letting Jane run roughshod over Lisbon's forbearance for so long is that in the end her gravity finally pulled him to his knees, and my God it was fun to watch. The Queen lives to protect the King, but she is still the most powerful piece on the board.
"Then you will continue to have a problem" im so happy to see that the Jisbon chemestry hasnt altered badly due to Jane choosng violence. if anything it seems to have strengthened their relaetionship. they depend on each other more. and the whole group now seems to understand how much of a family they realy are
it's so sweet how Jane describes the way Lisbon influences him... "healthy moderating influence" 😍 is so real, most of the times where he was bad (sad, blinded with anger or very arrogant etc) she managed to balance and understand those feelings. Where that point became most clear is when he lost his memory and obviously, in the moments linked to red john. And it's SO funny how in return Lisbon considers him the cause of her back pain and insomnia and him glad to know it 🤣🤣 that smile him gives her and how he can't stop looking at her ... 😻🙏 * melted of love *
You're reading way too much into it. They're just good colleagues that work well together, that's it. There was no romantic feelings between them.

as of midway season 6, jane effectively does destroy bertram's career and gets the bureau shutdown
(although to be fair, he wasn't the cause of the problem)
@AcidDome its possible but it wasn't confirmed even if there was some evidence in favour. honestly i hated the whole mental breakdown storyline. the whole point of the show was to find out who red john was, they even had that "he is mar" thing back in season 1, yet season 6 is basically jane giving up on red john, losing his sanity and determining that betram and the bureau wasn't any better than the person he joined to catch.

@@Tommy_111 I know but this was never confirmed. the show never confirms if Bertram truly was working for Red John, just makes it clear he was a bad dude and MAYBE had some involvement. Pretty sure there was an interview with the show's creator where he admits he wants it to be open ended and that it shouldn't matter if Bertram was with RJ or not.

The "glowy spray stuff" is luminol, i believe, from watching csi miami. It reveals the presence of blood that you cannot see otherwise. I could be wrong, though, he might mean something else.
