Sometimes marriage can leave one sad. My late wife’s body was failing her so 1) God saved her 2) God called her ( Linda) home 3) let me know 2-3 days before she left where she was going. Yes the sad part is I miss her a lot. But at the same time glad where she is. One day I’ll see her again
Been married 20 yrs now with him for 23 yrs and we are about to start marriage counseling. People have to realize over time everyone changes and grows and counseling will help you work together to adapt to those changes. It’s all communication and work. Leaving the marriage for another will just go through the same thing so why not invest in all the years you have with your current spouse than thinking it’s easy to just move on to another cause that doesn’t make it better. It’s just a new relationship that you have to do the exact same thing with over time.
Exactly. What I’ve learned the hard way, and by working on myself is this: You can’t put the key to your own happiness in someone else’s pocket. Outside relationships or things, can’t MAKE you happy, they can only add to the happiness that you already found within
So many ads! It’s tough because I have so many of my own issues and I know my husband does too, so we struggle so much to learn how to communicate. But we’ve been doing marriage therapy and taking baby steps. Marriage is hard, and sometimes it’s hard to appreciate my husband
I love your podcasts! I’m so much farther than you guys I’ve been married for 41 years I love how you explain it and I always tell younger generation acquaintances to sunscibe bc I just don’t think they think about the future of their marriages until they are in it and find out it’s a constant battel and I don’t mean that in a bad way…..it’s work and commitment every single day!
Omg I really like my husband too! He's my favorite person, and I find myself feeling out if place when girlfriends get together and just complain about their spouse 😅
Religion….I knew a couple where the mother was Baptist and the husband was Catholic. She went to her church, he went to his. They had 2 children who alternated churches. They are now divorced. It worked for a long time but religious separation was a marriage killer….along with other things, I’m sure.
Y’all are my comfort podcast! I get so excited when I see a new post!
Oh wow thank you!
