you didnt answer the question.
And if your bracket isn't level?
cool thanks
So what do you do when you install it by the instructions yet it still don’t sit flush with the ceiling?
Flush Mount on a fan isn’t a kind of fan. This fan shown comes with a downrod and he just flush mounted it.
So I still don’t know how to raise my ceiling fan. Change the title bro!
I just go up in the attic and pull the box/bracket up farther.
James M That’s not what you do.
Exactly what I needed to know, saved me one of the regular 4 lowes trips per project. Thanks man.

Didn't really tell me anything
Michael Matthews because you’re an idiot.
thanks! very helpful!
What was helpful about that.
Don't install your ceiling fan like this. Today I did a service call and it was installed the same way. Apparently, the fan loosened the screws holding the bracket and it nearly fell on the homeowner. Some models are not meant to be flush and will shake screws loose and overheat. Buy a fan that is specifically made to be flush. If you must install this type of model, cut the down bar from top, drill a hole and then re- insert your bobber and pin. Leave about 2 inches extra so that you can mount the rod and motor on the mounting bracket and still have enough room to get to your wire. (Lowe's also sells a small 4" down rod that might fit.) If you install it correctly you'll have about two inches from motor to mounting cover which is flush enough. It will be safely secure and won't over heat because the motor requires sway. Installing a fan from the bracket cover onto the mounting bracket without a rod is dangerous because the side screws are holding a lot of weight and could come lose or break off. The screws are not meant to hold all the weight, and are only there to hold the cover that goes over the mounting bracket.
The fan I bought had instructions for both, apparently it is meant to be used both ways
@@robertbuffington51 Yes some fans come with instructions to install them flush mount by attaching the shaft cover to the motor. These are the exact fans that I recommend not doing that because they can potentially fall. If you do install them like that make sure your install all four screws and keep an eye on the fan. The fans that I have come across get loose probably because the blades sag and then the fan shakes back and forth for a long time not being addressed.
Uh few thanks that wasn't helpful.
Bro this was not helpful.
