This is the new Rado Captain Cook Chronograph in a brushed bronze (CuAl) case. In our 4K-video you will be able to discover all facets (technical details, wrist- and pool-shot) of this stunning beautiful timepiece.

Things I love: The bi-compax layout with the date at 6. The RED date!!! 300M Waterproofness. The lume including the lumed bezel. Things I don't like: The fact that the chronograph seconds hand and the running seconds hand is not lumed. A Diver's watch without a lumed running seconds hand does not make sense at all. I also not sure about the fact that the Chrono minutes hand does not jump, but is always moving gradually. Thanks for the in depth detailed look at this piece.
Allow me to add this: please avoid calling this a “Bi-Compax” layout! The name “Bi-Compax” belongs to a Universal Genève chronograph, was a name given by this unfortunately no longer existing brand to one of its models. What you do is as Mercedes would call one of its cars “Golf” or BMW would call one of its cars “A6”… I’d recommend you to call that configuration double counter or 6/9 counter chronograph

Hi, thanks for the explanation. Do you know how to reset the Chronograph hand to center at 12. I feel that it rests little bit off from 12 on my watch. I am probably nitpicking but i know other chronographs have capability to reset alignment of Chronograph hand. Thanks.
You can only align a chronograph-hand with a quartz calibre … In your case, if the hand is misaligned, the mechanical calibre needs the help of a professional and well trained watchmaker…
I own the smaller 37mm non chrono version, brown dial. It is 100m wr, a bit reluctant to take it in water, as it has a non screw down crown.
Why worry? It is certified for 100 meters ++
I think it is a beautiful diver watch, hope to get one someday (no chrono) on rubber

Hello Alex, how have you been?) Without a doubt, Rado gives us a great piece, the measurements are excellently well achieved, but the most remarkable thing is that the bronze looks phenomenal (although the black dial stainless steel version looks very Bad ass). The best way to dress this Bronze Captain Cook is in leather because it looks elegant and classic, I love it!!!!

Perfect review! I really like this watch, I am considering it for my collection, the only problem it constantly reminds me of the Omega Seamaster Chronograph, which I happen to have in my collection, so I am uncertain about it. Interesting is the caseback Titanium… probably grade 2? As always thank you for the video ;) and I recently got the Rado Over Pole ;)
You should compare your Omega 1:1 to it… then you will know… I am pretty sure you will discover more differences than you actually think… keep us posted…

Very nice presentation for a very nice watch, usually I'm not a fan of bronze but this version is great. I love chrono and not so many watch maker are making dive chrono. Just one thing disturb me it has almost everything to be certified as a dive watch just missing luminova on the running seconds (or I don't see well). For the bronze looking gold just need to be careful and adapt your clothing to the place you go sad to say but life is like that.....
This Rado is not certified as a diver… that’s more a cool lifestyle chronograph than a professional diver…

By pulling out the crown and fix it in its second position...
it is definitely an impressive and attractive piece. Not sure where and when one would wear it though. As a diver would rather use my Duro. To work, a bit flashy. So that just leaves the swimming pool. Hmmmmmm........

No column wheel or vertical clutch, very disappointing.
Would the Captain Cook be powered by such a calibre it would be more expensive though...
@@WatchAdvisor Nonsense, take a look at the Longines spirit Chrongraph, Column wheel with a vertical clutch, 64 hour power reserve, Chronometer, silicon hairspring and much cheaper at £2600.
Difficult to compare with Longines, Rado has its own rules... in combination with the bronze case it would be more expensive, believe me...
