Would like to have seen a lume comparision. I know the Rado has a fully lumed bezel whereas the Omega doesn't but I suspect that the Omega's Lume is stronger, but of course I don't actually know....
Well so far I only seen the orange planet ocean omega and the james bond 60th anniversary Seamaster to have lume on the bezel… where did you see that the Rado Captain Cook Chrono has lumed bezel? The Rado was given for me to review the Chrono 300m is part of my collection I can do a lume shot about that if you want, let me know…
Love both watches they look great but Rado a modular movement which Omega used like 20 years ago.Wish on the next Rado version they at least put valjoux 7750.
Thanks for your comment. Yes the Rado has ETA 2894 as base movement and not an ETA / Valjoux 7750. I would prefer Rado to produce its own movements nowadays with hefty pricetags I would expect something new, not always 2894 and 7750, which are cheaply mass produced… that is why I love Omega for changing from ETA standard movements to do their own!
@@Watchmeifyoucan Rado makinga in-house movement, not sure I can trust there service center. With Omega never had a issue getting my Seamaster service. The only reason I would want Rado with a mass produced movement is to keep the cost down.I could never see myself spending Omega money on a Rado.one thing Rado is doing good not being forgotten.Love to see where they go next.
You are right, but get me a daytona or royal oak to compare with ;) Absolute honest answer: I am working with what I can get… I started my channel about 2 months ago, that is to say, I have currently limited resources available… let’s be honest the channel needs development in subscribers and viewers before it gets access to more resources, so this is where I depend on you guys… this is why I am answering every single comment and try to be as interactive as possible. I thank you for your comment and your support.
Modular chronograph movement on the Rado. They are a no no when it comes to getting the damn thing serviced. Hmmm. That omega is delicious but I pretty sure it would be twice the price! 🙃
Modular movements to service - not sure whether they are that difficult - by Maurice Lacroix Valjoux 7750 you can get fair deals on service prices… The Rado Captain Cook Chrono costs CHF 3700 The Omega Seamaster 300m Chrono costs CHF 7800 So you are right about twice the price it is actually 2.108 times the price of the Rado :) Thanks for commenting!
The Rado really surprised me when compared to the Omega. Case size, finishing, and Bezel all seem preferable to the Omega. Impressive.
Rado is a really good chrono, the only problem it has is the standard Valjoux movement, if you don’t like noisy spinning watches, stay away.

I've seen the Rado Captain Cook Chrono lume on several youtube videos

@@bnick25352535 totally agree - it will be really interesting which direction Rado is heading towards to…
Very disappointed that the captain cook chronograph doesn't work since I have tried it.,sent back to the AD
Well anything can happen, of course it shouldnt for that kind of money… Hope you will have better luck next time!
the Omega is beautiful. definitely worth twice the price of the Rado, which is a nice watch but the Omega is a big jump in quality.
Indeed … the Omega is better in fact this 9900 movement is better than the one in the Daytona …
This isn’t even a comparison. The seamaster is 10 times the watch

Sadly no column wheel or vertical clutch ?????
I made a video for you

Column wheel it has, vertical clutch I am not sure about.
I know the omega has one, not talking about that, I'm talking about the Rado.
@@alanrogers6885 sorry misunderstood :) does the Omega have a vertical clutch?
@@Watchmeifyoucan Omega does have a Vertical clutch.
