Thank you so much William. In this one I was surprised by the low ceiling, and subsequently, anxious during the approach in F45. Thanks again for your kind words and support. Safe & Happy Flying!

Very realistic video of what it's like to fly IFR in IMC to ILS minimums. Very impressive. Keep up creating these informative videos Ben. Thank you!

Great flight Ben , well done , keep it up , dont worry , those approaches and gusty winds happen to us all .. Nice job .. the IFR rating is the best .. that was some good IFR conditions too ..

Thank you so much for watching and your encouragement. I agree, I love flying IFR and I think that it should be required by all pilots to attain. Yes, I know I took my time, but I just didn't realize how important it is to have it. Thanks again and safe & happy flying!

Great great flights Ben, very well-done video. I am not a pilot, I am just a fan but, I seem to always learn something from watching your videos. I like how seriously you take aviation. ... Please stick to it and fly safe! AJ

If your altimeter was correct, and your voice was in sync with the flying, you appeared to be well below DA (below 200 ft) when you made the runway for 9R. If so, this is something you really need to work on, along with your radio skills.
As an honest critique, your appear well behind the airplane when flying the approaches, much less to minimums. As a humble suggestion - especially if you are going to fly single pilot IFR the majority of the time - perhaps your personal minimums need to re-evaluated. Give yourself time to build experience, working on a specific skill - your radio work, for example - in less challenging scenarios. Fly the approach in marginal VFR conditions. Fly with a safety pilot. Or, go grab a seat in a simulator and fly multiple approaches there. Work on getting your skill set better honed - it’s been three years since you flew into IMC, and planning still seems to be a weak point.

Thank you for watching and taking time to layout your constructive criticism.
Having said that, let me address them.
      -Planning
I specifically planned for a number days to shoot the ILS approach in marginal VFR and not in IFR as stated in the beginning of the video. I picked the right day for it, but as you know the weather sometimes changes quickly. That’s exactly what happened to me and many other pilots that are honest enough to admit it.
      -Personal minimums
Contrary to what you think, I do have personal minimums that are 500 ft above any DA, MDA, LP or circling.
      -Below minimums
As far as going below DA minimums, I did see the runway environment at around 275 feet. Your suspicion is correct, my voice is out of sync with the video. I should have been more careful editing this video.
      -Radio work
Well, I admit that I can use more practice to improve it. I have full confidence that the more I fly in IFR the smoother my ATC interactions will be.
      -Behind the plane
I don’t believe that I was behind the plane at any time. I briefed the approach and handled the approaches well enough.
Please don’t think that I treat your critique points lightly. I’m sure that they are well intentioned and I do appreciate them. Please don’t be shy and feel free to debrief any of my videos.
      Safe & Happy Flying!
      Ben

@@TheRealAviatorBen - thank you taking the criticism in the spirit in which I intended; many might take them as an attack, when they were meant as a sincere and humble attempt to offer real, friendly thoughts. In all honesty, I could have easily been speaking to, and of, myself - which I found myself doing when watching your videos.
      Good luck, and keep learning!

@@ajmplaneshelicoptersrocket3542 I always try my best to stay safe. It also saddened me to hear about the recent aviation tragedies. I also watch other aviation videos to learn from other's mistakes as I hope they learn from mine as well. Thanks again for watching and your loyal support. I appreciate it
