Wouldn't you rather work at Udvar-Hazy?
Can this please be a series of you going to airplane museums in different games?
I’ll have to see if there even are others 😆
5:10 Fun Fact about the AC-47 that our Docent is referring to: Project Tailchaser (as the name implies) had next to no funding due to it's lack of faith by the Air Force. So little funding, in fact, Captain John C. Simons (one of the men chiefly responsible for the development of the project) had to PERSONALLY bankroll the project. This man, an O-3 on a salary of $6400/year in 1963, literally maxed his credit cards so that the AC-47 could be made and thus saving countless US soldiers as well as giving us in the future the AC-130. And that's amazing.
I did not know that! Cool!
8/10
Very insightful and fun tour. The tour guide was very intelligent and entertaining. My only complaints are that the tour felt a little short, I ended up with a couple buckshot pellets in my leg, and a 5.56 bullet grazed my shoulder. Thankfully, the tour guide did his duty and defended me from the more violent guests. Overall, would recommend. I'm thinking about bringing the family here next time I'm in D.C.
Thanks for the tour, very entertaining ánd educational. Shame about the hoodlums touching the exhibits. I was especially pleased with the presentation of the lunar landing exhibit.
Looking forward to more creative twists on aeroplanes presented in games like this!
9/10
Tour guide was very insightful, kind, humorous and displayed incredible marksmanship. Have to dock a point for getting grazed by a stray bullet though. Museum was in a bit of disrepair but the tour was worth every tetanus shot.
Thanks for the tour!, it was a bit difficult getting to the museum with all of the... traffic problems.. outside, but it was an entertaining and funny tour nonetheless! your knowledge about all parts of the museum and especially the Mars part was very impressive!
Clearly the museum hasn't been doing well during covid.
Really well made and funny. Props to you my man
Nah but seriously, I remember I went there back in 2016, and when I played this game a few years later I was blown away. Super well done by the devs, basically just a scaled down version of the real thing
OH! This plane is amazing! 😃
Starting from 16:02 you can see a Soyuz and Appolo spaceships docked together. That joint USA-USSR mission was a symbol of the end of space race era and start of space cooperation era.
But the guide definitely told us about it as he was very knowledgeable in every aspect of every exhibit. Please don't fire him 😁.
I would genuinely love to have NoDak as a museum tour guide, maybe then I would go outside
8/10
Tour guide was quite nice and funny , but I was sad we weren't able to see the sb-3s and tbd-1 aircraft bit fun none the less, would come again.
From Mitchell Indiana. Gus Grissom home town. Pretty neat museum at Spring Mill State Park with a lot of unique and cool artifacts.
Can’t express enough appreciation for this video. Thank you.
5/5 stars. Not how I remember it being last time I was there, but much fun.
Another great video from Nodak. Keep it going
I hope you'll try playing some horror games someday Dak, I would love to see you play classics like Outlast!
Let that be a lesson to those who don't put their phone on silent
I want my next museum visit to be guided by you
Thank you for the tour, glad to see that even in the war torn, disease ridden, ruins of DC there are still those dedicated to helping younger generations learn about the past.
Great tour just a few too many corpses. They asked for it however by touching the exhibits
I enjoyed the tour thank you. As a former Air traffic controller, have you controlled on VATSIM?
8/10
Great tour. Couldn’t give a 10 due to the repeated combustions of the engine comparison beneath the 747.
3:28 idk if this was intentional, but that explosion was on beat
Totally intentional :) I love doing little things like that with the editing!
Yeah, it is true, the second world biggest oktoberfest is in Brasil. The reason for that is because there is a lot of german immigrants living in the south of Brasil.
Love your sense of humor in these videos. Curious why you gave up ATC?
V2 Rocket. What is my award?
Touching the exhibits is grounds for immediate execution
oh finally, the washroom... i could fuel a plane, if you know what i mean... 😄
when's the next tour time? i would like to take it again 😊
Dang I didn’t know being a volunteer museum guide paid well enough for a G36 AND an SVD. And an automatic one at that. Not even one of the butchered SL8s. Maybe they pay you in expensive guns…
the real one?! didn't she crash it... oh no, that was the Lockheed Electra... didn't she crash it?
are we near a washroom..?
What was that huge prop behind the A-10 from?
My guess is some sort of zeppelin but idk
Wind tunnel - great question!
oh, it's "air, and space"...
Always good to have a bit of role play in your FPS games :D
Except it is a 3rd person shooter RPG.
I'm actually home visiting my parents and I get to go to air and space for a second time or third after this tour
9/10 You did great
is this ladder accessibility-compliant?
6:34 that’s an mq1
is this based of the museum of flight?
if UAVs are the future, might as well take it a step further, and just toss bricks of gold at each other, that way, "civilian casualties", you know... they end-up with a brick of gold, so... 🤷 if we take that a step further, or in another branch, it could be all virtual! the future could be decided on video games!
does the lunar module count as an "aerial vehicle"?
No it does not
are these to scale?
The Division 1 was my favorite game at the time, and i was really disappointed at The Division 2 because it was essentially the same as the first one, but they just changed a few details to make it another game, when they could've just made a continuation of the first one, like a sequel... they just changed the user interface a little, and i thought it was pretty lame... i was disappointed, it was just different enough to not quite be the same, and i thought it wasn't as good...
😯
I’m here from the new video
