1991 - June 3 - Movie World opens. Opening day attractions included a Movie studio tour, Movie Magic Special Effects Show, Western Action Show, Police Academy Stunt Show, Warner Bros. Classics & Great Gremlins Adventure, Young Einstein Gravity Homestead, Roxy Theatre and Looney Tunes Land which featured the Looney Tunes Musical Revue and Looney Tunes River Ride.
1992 - December 23 - Batman Adventure: The Ride opens
1995 - December 26 - Lethal Weapon - The Ride opens (now Arkham Asylum - Shock Therapy)
1998 - December 26 - Wild West Falls Adventure Ride opens
2000 - December 26 - Road Runner Rollercoaster opens
2001 - Young Einstein Gravity Homestead closes

2011 - December 23 - Green Lantern Coaster opens
2012 - December 22 - Justice League: Alien Invasion 3D opens (replaced Batman Adventure)
2014 - June - Mini Cars Driving School opens (replaced Looney Tune River Ride)

I went in ‘91 and ‘99, almost identical experiences both times. I’ll finally go back this year, it’ll be like a whole new place.
Miss the batman adventure ride and looney tunes river ride, glad I went on them
Batman adventure ride was easily the best ride Australia has ever had

I always wanted to go back and experience the Looney Tunes boat ride as an adult. I was so freaking saddened when I heard they had gotten rid of it.

This theme park is owned by Village Roadshow Theme Parks which is owned by Village Roadshow who also owns Village Roadshow Pictures one of the 2 main co-financing partners of Warner Bros. Pictures along with Legendary Pictures.

I can't wait for the new hypercoaster to come out it's supose to be 202ft tall at the highest point and 100km with backwards facing seats to give you an added option of viewing rather than all facing forward

warner owned pokemon partly around the late 90s cus the original show was really popular on kids wb in the usa
pikachu being there probably ties in with the first movie's release around that time
It was some kind of walk-through attraction to celebrate Pokemon 2000. It only lasted for a few months, of course, and is one of the least documented attractions of Movie World. The footage from that ad is the only reason we know about it.

The "I've been to movie world" ad was the absolute worst. Just as markettng was getting rid of jingles and they decide to make one.

At least you've got Disney and Universal studios. We've got WB Movie World, Sea World, Dreamworld and Luna Park and that's pretty much it. We've been begging Disney to build one here for years without success. Grass is greener hey?

And in the end the Indian makes the audience say something out loud to turn the evil magician into a block of ice
