Our recent quilting retreat was a week filled with laughter, learning, and of course, chocolate & quilting! We had the pleasure of spending the week at the Missouri Star Quilt Retreat Center in Hamilton, Missouri.
From stunning fabric selections and lots of inspiration, the attendees had a blast expanding their skills and creating beautiful works of art and many lasting friendships. With plenty of downtime for rest and relaxation, this retreat truly offered the best of both worlds! I had such a wonderful time at this quilting retreat that I can't wait for the next opportunity to get out into the world and meet more quilters!

I would love a northern lakes retreat that includes some boating fun, campfires, a nearby quilt shop, and of course, piecing/sewing my quilts along with a retreat project.

Hi Christen, you are such a joy! I'm so glad you had great time at your retreat. My dream some day. Update on the new house..we have moved in... yay! We have been so busy, lost all of our furniture that got damaged in storage but hey I have new furniture now and that's been fun picking it out. Have quite got to the sewing room yet but I see it in the near future. You know I got the itch. Anyway you are a wonderful joy to watch and learn from. Have a wonderful day Christen!

Quilt retreat are a blast! I go to one at a Hartland Christian Camp that is up in the foothills in central CA, there is one held in October and then also in April which is wonderful!
California sounds lovely. I'll have to look into that one and see if they offer private retreat spaces. Thanks for sharing! 🥰🥰

So wish I had gotten into quilting much sooner. Travel is difficult now. I am goung to QuiltCon 2024 because it is in Raleigh. About an hour away.

I hope I get to attend next year’s retreat at Stitchin Heaven. It’s a beautiful venue at the largest quilt shop in Texas and I only live about an hour from Quitman. I displayed my Texas quilt last year in their October Outdoor Quilt Show & saw some incredible quilts!

This video seemed like it was just for me! I love quilting & I’ve wanted to attend a retreat for a few years, but I honestly was afraid. A bad experience a few years ago damaged my happy go lucky personality & I’ve been afraid of being around unknown people 😢. I promised myself this summer that I would go to a retreat next year & reconnect to my love of quilting! I am super excited 😊. I don5 know if I’ll be able to make the February trip but hopefully it will be another one afterwards 😅. My biggest thing right now - how has traveling with your machine when you fly gone? 😬
