      You are welcome! Did you happen to see the poor steri strip job on the star of the TV show the Bachelor this week? They need me :)

    The suture removal is painful like a needle... 95% psychological. I used to black out, but a lot of it was due to hypoglycemia, much more prone. Getting therapeutic phlebotomies every other week cured my psychosomatic symptoms, and hardly any pain from a large gauge needle, though I still dread it, always feels weird while the blood fills 50 100cc viles that go in the trash. Cure through exposure.

    After the suture removal why do you only clean around the sides?

    • @NurseMinder
      @NurseMinder  Рік тому +1

      You can clean the whole wound, the skin is closed

    Should a deep wound { a result of surgery } two weeks old still be bleeding?

    Hi. after removing every other stitch, and i see that the wound is pulling apart a little (not pull apart deep, but does open a bit). Do I inform the doctor ? How can I evaluate (or what do I look for) whether it is still ok to continue removal as the strips will pull them together for the rest of the healing process. Thanks

    • @NurseMinder
      @NurseMinder  Рік тому

      Yes you would let the doctor know. If there is pulling apart, I would not remove any more sutures until assessed and a plan is in place (i.e steristrips, wait 24 more hours)

      @@NurseMinder yes you would inform the physician but first,stop suture removal and cover wound with a sterile gauze an close the wound while you inform the physician

    Is it OK if the strip comes off 3 days after it was put on or comes loose I got some strips on and one or two is coming lose

    • @NurseMinder
      @NurseMinder  3 роки тому

      Typically they last a little longer. If the wound is not opening up, things might be ok

    Are steri strips necessary after dissolvable sutures are removed? Will it scar more without? I was told since the wound closed after scab fell off the steri strips aren't really necessary. I want to minimize scarring as much as possible though! Any advice?

      Not always needed. :)

      from what I have watch when your wound heals and it finally close, you have to put silicon gel or patches and than you have to keep on massaging the scar to lessen the scar. The collagen is building up and making keloid, so they said you need to massage and used silicon patch. Actually the wound heals maybe 2years. it still itches after 1yr. Mine is going up and down, sometimes it goes lumpy and it itches, than next day it goes down and flat. Now I hae new operation stitches and it did not heal it broke and suture came out hanging did not dissolve. I am so scared it's on my nose.

    my suture was removed and than I applied steri strip but the upper and lower part of wound is not connected well it open up. The dissolvable stitches came out of the lower part. It was hanging out than i touch it bleed, so I just cut it a bit to shorten it. I am using antibiotic ointment mupirocin. I put steri strip again. But it doesn't stay long since my skin is oily it keeps getting off. Is it normal that the stitch went out? What do I do? if it heals that way will it dissapear, how can it close if there is hanging suture, it might get infection like what happen to my other surgery when there was this tiny hole that was open, like a tiny poke of needle was open, than it became infected and i took another antibiotic and it burst out. I am scared it's on my nose hu hu, this is not my body this is on my face my nose. I have to go back to doctor even if it's far away. It was done in government hospital. it's mole removal, I can't afford the laser so i took this nasty invasive painful scary surgery. I feel like my nose is going to explode. I have tomato flat ugly nose and now I have additional long scar on my nose, my entire face is so ugly and full of scars already. I look like frankenstein the female version. 😥

    What happens if the wound was cleaned but not around the edges and the steri strips was closed and not space? What is your advice?

    • @NurseMinder
      @NurseMinder  4 роки тому

      from this, I am understanding that the wound edges are not together. Depending on how deep the cut it (which is likely superficial if steri strips are used), you may end up with a scar. If the wound was not cleaned properly, it is also possible to have an infection.

It’s also a “ proven strategy” to feed diabetics low fat blue berry muffins and white pasta while in the hospital .. it’s part of a healthy “ diabetic “ diet “ … then when your blood sugar shoots up sky high they can’t wait to shoot you up with insulin … the entire medical profession is a bought and paid for joke ….
