Thanks Nick for a wonderful live stream video today. It is so interesting seeing all the questions you get asked. Lots of thought goes into them that is obvious. Enjoy the questions. Can understand your risk of fire. Be careful and you have the fire truck out there with you. Thanks so much Nick for the video. Prayers for a good crop production year for the Welkers The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Greetings from Northwest Montana. Just finished making hay today so hopefully it will last until next year. Had a visit the other day while haying of a Grizzly Bear Sow and her 2 little cubs. Love Montana as you never know who's going to visit you. Best wishes for a successful harvest season.
14 hrs late, but i’m here! 👍 Everytime i see those yellow peas, i get hungry! A soup made from yellow peas, onions and some pork is just something else.😋 With some tasty mustard.👍 That’s the tradition on thursdays here in Sweden. 🇸🇪 Have a good one and stay safe.
It’s tough for all farmers, you guys can have your bumps snd triumphs. I wish you guys would get more rain, ever since I’ve started watching you guys the amount of rainfall has gotten less n less. Lot of not enough rain for farmers and those who have to much rain can be just as tough. Will continue to pray for you guys to get a bumper crop! There is always next year that could be the year!
Thanks Nick, I always look forward to your seeding and harvest streams, may God bless you and all of your family. Thank you for all of your videos too.
I farmed in E MT for many years and stopped in the mid 80's to go back to grad school and now retired from OSU in Nuclear Engineering. Keep up the videos. I watch you and Fast Ag daily'
I haven't been able to listen to the whole video because there's too much work to do, but I got through the part about certified seeds. That's good info Nick. I'm glad you explained it.
Nick, in dry weather and conditions, wrap a chain around your steer axle on your combines, it grounds the machine and helps prevents any "electrical" sparks that can cause a fire. This trick works, think of it as a grounding strap.
Trees in NY grow faster than we cut them down and nearly all hardwood. I have a common apple tree over 70 ft tall and it still bares fruit. Sugar maples 7 ft across the butt and 80 ft tall. I give firewood, mostly dead ash and maple, away to my neighbors.
I was just curious. I watch your videos all the time. I also watch Zeorian Harvesting and they are cutting in Highwood, MT. Why do they harvest 80 to 100 bushel wheat and you guys don’t?
Great stream, great channel, thanks from Switzerland. I like the different farming live you have in this endless expanses. You should install a handy holder :) looks exhausting to me to always hold the phone up...
Would it work if you harvested "fire strips" in the field at the beginning of harvest. By that I mean harvest strips perpendicular to the wind direction wide enough that the fire can't jump across or is there too much debris left on the ground for that to work? Can you set the combine to not distribute the debris like wheat straw harvesters do or at least, I think they do.
Great point about tree hugger pollution. The smart thing to do would be to stop feeding them until they get the message. Too bad we can't. They will never admit that their policies have the opposite results of what they agitate for. Your tree hugger pollutes 50 times more than those who feed and house them.
Drove through couple days ago coming back from, Alberta. Believe I saw the Magnum pulling a grain cleaner over I-15 overpass. Wasn’t sure if that was y’all or not.
Hey Nick, you should know as a farmer there are only two days a week. Do you know what they are?? They are light day and dark day, when light day ends, you wonder what you didn’t get done during dark day
No corn up in that part of the country. In the "golden triangle" it's just what they grow. Some parts further south can support corn, but for the most part no on corn.

Hi from down under. Loving the channel. How does the snow convert into inches of rain?
Loving the livestreams guys, best of luck for the rest of the harvest season, and stay safe!

if the chain strikes a rock or a piece of metal wouldn’t it spark.
@@zarb88 No since it's grounded besides, when harvesting, combines aren't going fast enough to cause such.
Yeah I use to custom cut wheat in the Fort Benton area. Any where near you all.

I believe Repeat would be awesome name for the Pete
You should call the 377 Pete "RePete"

If you want that B model cat to last dont go above 450. The 3406C had bigger crank guts, was 460hp and first of the electronic timing engines.
Hi Nick,I'm watching from Perth in Western Australia
Love the show, South Carolina
Hello from DEEP SOUTH TEXAS keep up the good work
Hello from Jamestown Michigan
Hi from North Dakota thanks for sharing
Good luck from a scotsman in brazil
We grow canning peas here in western New York what are yours used for
Is there a way to install something to apply water, etc to the area around the combine, should a fire start as a 1st step in stopping crop damage?
Great video. Did you know mandego is making a 115ft roller?
I is amazing you seem to have the same problems I had farming with the breakdowns.

Do the "certified " seeds extract more nutrients from the soil than non-certified to get the additional yields?
Hello from Texas!
Any chance you will demo the new case combine?

@@WelkerFarms yes sir they are
Have you thought about fitting tow hitch to the combines so that they can tow their own header
I don't think they need to take their headers off during harvest.
I would call your truck Big Blue
Would it help to cut into the wind to help blow the short crop in the header? Just curious.
how many acres a day can you cover with your sprayer doing Chem Folow and saving on chemicals must be huge
That 377 should be called Blue Thunder
The Iowa farm boy says hello.
Do you guys put out any canola ?
Hello from Amarillo, Texas. Sure would be nice to get enough rainfall to make 50 bushel yields on your dryland crops?
there’s an old farmers saying when you finally get a bumper crop, so does your neighbor and the sale prices go down.
Now make Bob do a video while in the harvester, please. I always enjoy his jokes since were both the same age.
Can you do an early morning stream so european people don't have to watch at 02:00 and work at 06:00 the next day😉😉😉
Finally it looks like you have a crop
Why is the bushel’s per acre so drastically different between Montana and Ohio ? Ohio had some fields at 100 bushel.
@@bradleybisping lack of water, all has to do with moisture whether rain, snow, or irrigation.
Do yall grow corn in montana? Always wondered that or is just wheat or soybeans?

How many acres can you do in one hour with no hiccups?

Why does the yield change soon much in fields next to each other
Would you get better yield if you used certified seed? Realize more expensive but just wondering? Thanks and enjoy the channel sir
Water is the main cause of yield fluctuations
Free corn seed even through a dealer isn’t always free… 50bu. better than the free seed is a loss.
We get to irrigate most of the summer. No breaks especially with cattle and cattle related activities.

Why not till a fire break on the outside round of the field? limit the possibility of fire to one field.
