Thank you for the dates. Much appreciated!
You bet!
I like the night shots. Amazing color. Thanks for keeping me watching. Great job!!!!😂
Any time!
It's really the best :)
I love having the dates - thanks Levi! The sprayer looks awesome at night 👌
Great job, Scott, on the concrete/rebar/wire! You will all appreciate that being removed!
Love the sprayer & drone shots. Safe harvest to you all. God bless
Even with a dirty face Nick you and your brother Scott and your dad are amazing i love your videos god bless you all praying 🙏🙏 for a awesome harvest stay safe💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏🇺🇲
God bless!
In our area guys have brought in portable crushers for material like that and use it for roads and building projects
You should have looked up a licensed blaster. He could bring in some dynamite and fix your problem probably cheaper than the cost of your new implement.
I don’t think they’d be a fan of concrete hitting there bins
Scott wanted to play with a toy and added it to their bobcat ...
Using dynamite could have unforeseen damage costing unwanted repairs.
Hope the harvest turns out well
Great video! LegArms said he was going to have fun. It looked like fun to me, even if was work! That yard looks much better. Tractor Supply used to have two part pulleys were you get the center part sized to the shaft and the outer part to the size you need and weld them like you did the old one. You probably can't get them any more--too convenient. The sprayer looked awesome as usual.
One oh those projects that are very rewarding once it’s completed! nice work Scott😊
Thanks for another awesome video from the Welkers.
It was most interesting and enjoyable to watch for sure.
Scott, you did a great job knocking down those old concrete pillars. I must say they were massive and some really hard old concrete. But you got the job done and I must say that area looks nice with those pillars out of the way. Nice job done ✅ Scott!!!!!
Love your sprayer at night Nick all lite up. Looks like a space ship going across the field. You have done a great job with that sprayer and made some awesome videos with the lights at night all working. Looks amazing going across the fields.
Thanks Nick for your great videos.
Combines, getting them ready for another harvest. Lots to look at and adjust and making sure they are ready for another busy combine harvest season!!!!!! That pulley you were working on just did not want to come off. Appreciate all the work you did Nick to get that nut off-wow!!!!! These combines are great machines but need to be looked after to stand up to the many hours of harvesting. All of you do a lot of good teamwork repairs to get them ready to roll. Harvest is going now so I know you all got the two combines ready to do the job at hand. Hang in there you all.
Pleasure to watch another of your videos. Sending my prayers for a good crop production year!!!!!!! Better than last year, let’s put it that way!!!!!
You three take care and be safe!!!!!!!
My blessings to you all!!!!!!!!!
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
😊😊👋👍🙏💕🇺🇸🇺🇸
Awesome job removing that concrete. I bet those type of things give a lot of joy knowing you stuck with it and got it done after all those years
Have you ever thought of making a poster using a nighttime shot of Nick spraying weeds ? Impressive night drone shots. Possible advertising photo for your spraying product producer.
Also for any potential custom spraying they wanted to do. Maybe even the basis of a business making and selling more big brutes??
I kind of have that already ... clicked print screen while it was spraying at night and got a nice picture of it.
I know I'm late to the party, but I tend to binge a few episodes at a time and I'm going to comment anyway for the "engagement" lol. I'm also going to repeat a few things that have already been said but....engagement 😂. Having the dates is awesome and greatly appreciated! And those night shots were amazing 👍
For sure the best intro into a farming video I have ever seen...Kinda takes me back to the Disco days and Rolling skating..just awesome guys
Making the bin-yard more user-friendly for the trucks? Sounds like a concrete plan to me! 😁🤘
Scott is always looking at ways of doing something to "fix up" the farm, because fixing stuff is part of him.
When pulling bearings or pulleys off of shafts it always helps to use a surface conditioning disc or pad to polish the shaft to remove rust, burrs, and smooth out any flaring of then end of the shaft.
That spray rig is a thing of beauty!
We do that demo work all the time. For a small hammer on a skid steer, that hammer is doing pretty good. Old concrete seems to be harder to break up than new concrete. What were those piles for? They were built to hold up a rocket launcher.
Concrete today is just strong enough for the intended job. The old timers had no problem throwing in an extra bag of cement and going a bit overkill, but they knew their work was going to last.
It also drys out as it gets older making it harder tore down a turn of the century lumber mill and the foundations were the hardest I ever had to rip up
depending on the thickness of the pulley web. You could drill and tap for your puller.
Weld you up a tow hitch, or use a Jeep tow hitch, mount it on the front of your Can-Am, tow the buggy behind your skid steer or backhoe, then you have a built in ride back to your other needed equipment. Works like a charm when you're hustling solo
Excellent job Leg Arms! It feels good getting a job like that done when you can! 👍
Don’t know if I missed it , but what was the concrete base constructed for ??? I had a massive base that supposed went down 20 ft the area wasn’t quite as big as yours , mine was a base for a massive old steam cable excavator of some sort probably built in the 1800’s . Did the same as you took the top off and buried it . Oh i forgot it was for excavating gravel . Hope for a good harvest for you 😊
Yeah I was wondering the same, what was it for?
Gas wells or something to do with gas extraction, he mentioned it a few years ago last time they tried to dig them out
Leg-arms, have you ever thought that there might be a couple Air Force guys down there thinking you are going to break through the top of their ICBM if you don't stop?
Best comment. 😂
Thanks for inserting the current date as well makes it easier to follow whats going on
Anti-seize is your friend. After 55 years of working I've pretty much perfected removing stuck pullies but I ALWAYS use anti-seize when reassembling.
Scott, great job removing the concrete pillars. A lot of work but such a long term improvement.
Thanks, Tom C. I appreciate you mentioning the names in the equipment and on the shop wall - reminds me how long I’ve been watching.
Hello guys, another nice video... Ever thought about using a crusher to get rid of all the concrete rubble by turning it into some "gravel"?
I’d love to hear from your Dad how and when those piles were put in
Мужики, вашему трудолюбию можно только позавидовать! Вдвойне приятно когда труд приносит удовольствие! 👍👍👍
You have the most cool sprayer!
🤔 Brother Nick 26:33 I believe you should have found threads on the holes around the big belt pulley that you get a long threaded bolt that size into each hole and the bolts push against something behind it when you drive them in ? I know there's a setup on my Subaru like that to pull the knuckle out to get a bearing. Maybe Case did something like that. You could yourself if you have a tap and some strong enough surface behind the pulley wheel if you want to make it good for either method 😊❤🇺🇲🖖
You should try "freeze off" which i think is made by CRC that may work on pulleys like that
Hey Nick just a tip for next time. Its the key that makes the pulley stick. Try to fashion up a type of slide hammer on a piece of flatbar then weld to the key. It may break off a few times but if you have it out the pully comes off alot easier. It seem like the key sometimes deforms or swages the shaft or bush causing it to get stuck
Weld a heavy nut 3/4 or 1" to the pulley hub then run a bolt in against the end of the shaft
Scott, the ORIGINAL HAMMER (forget MC). Then big bro, back in the NICK of time. But, "What about BOB?" Time to up-peas the crops, right?!?
❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing your family with us all. God Bless
Dirty 80's sax music & neon Big Brute lightshow into LegArms ***king up some concrete. Best Monday Ever.
They used flyash in the concrete back then.Made it really hard.Had some on my farm, couldn’t even cut it with a partner saw. HARD!!!
Cool lights on your sprayer 👍
That light show on Brute is awesome.
Hey Coby good to see you!!
THANK YOU Nick for showing Millennial Farmer and Me how to "EASILY" put a PTO shaft on the spline. Zack and I have some problems occasionally putting the PTO shafts on, I'm old that's my excuse. 😅🤣😂
Great content. Appreciate the effort put into these videos. You guys are great. Hope harvest goes well
Nice job, Scott. Sure looks better without the mess. Nick, the night drone shots of Big Brute spraying are awesome. I would like to hear some empirical numbers on the savings of spray material by using your new system.
Get pulleys from your local bearing supplier. Only need shaft size, pulley diameter and number and size of belts. Taperlock mounting works best. G'day from Tasmania
Great job LegArms
When taking of a pulley like that try to get it on further then sand of the shaft untill there are no dents grease it up and it should come slide right of .
SCOTT I love that Funnel tree going to make one of them here in Australia.
Hi. Isaw you using oil after heating up the pulley...have you tried the wax method? After hearing, use a crayon as if you're sweating copper pipe joints. Sucks the wax into the joint....lubricates.
Keep up the hard work boys love your life
One funny thing when spraying, do you actually know that it looks like the weed are creating music on the sprayer if you convert every spray into some music tones. So every field have there own music. just some fun thoughts.
Yeah Scott, thise would bug the snot out of me too.
It look like an old gas compressor skid. The are usually massive to keep vibration under control.
You are correct!
Good work gentleman. Steady progress. Stay safe.
It is a key. The keyway is the slot.
Nice to see that concrete gone. Good job on that Nick.
Leg arms (Scott) cleared the concrete detritus...just sayin'...
Great project, Scott. So satisfying.
Koby is such a video hound, he had to get on screen. Been missing you Koby.!
Do you have any old photos of what that structure would've look like, that it had such a massive foundation?
Sadly we don't, but it was an old natural gas compressor station for the nearby oil fields. That would likely have been torn down by the 1970s.
Thanks!
Thanks Kenny! We appreciate it!
That sprayer system must save so much both money and the environment👌🏻
Awesome video buddy!!From La. 🙋🏼♂️👍😁
Awesome night vid thanks👍
I like the dates. I miss the original intro though. Best UA-cam channel out there!
We removed the old intro because it'd get skipped and sharply drop our audience retention. Lately we've been making unique intros (like this video's nighttime drone spraying) and it's been going well!
@@WelkerFarms We appreciate you guys. Been praying for you. Thanks for the explanation. I understand the business side of things
i wonder how many times someone has forgotten to swing the combine auger back. long hours hope you get a better reward this year.
Your grandkids trying to build new bins there in 60yrs prob going to rediscover it, hopefully they have lazers perfected by then haha
Moster job to remove them, def build to never move
Hope we get to see a demo so you guys can try case af11 combine would be cool to see how it will preform on the farm take care love the updates.
Nice job! Well done 👍👍
Should have started by renting a 12" concrete saw. Cut it into manageable chucks.
Crazy how much those farm equipment parts cost....(Not to mention the equipment itself)
Any chance case will let you demo the new AF11 combine. That would be awesome!
The lights are awesome. Why not
Good luck spraying Nick
Great video Nick
Looking good. Can wait see how it all turns out and works when complete. Why did you but bigger bins for your grain and corn?
That sprayer is amazing
Great video LegArms
Would have been fun watching the concrete pad get blown with a little explosives, but good job in all. Hope the pulley worked out. Stay safe and healthy. Coby supervising Nick there, lol.
Get some 'Fluid Film' for your PTO shafts and other things!
Concrete gets harder as it gets older that was really under sized for that job but you did awesome well done
What was all that concrete for?
Hi guys! Just wondering if we will get an update on the two houses you guys are building! Loved those videos
Will have an update ready once harvest is finished!
@@WelkerFarms great thanks. Love harvest season too!
I take it from the specialty tools that you have made etc that this pulley on the Red combines is a regular issue. I do know that timing is everything on that section of the combine so OD (outside diameter) the belt size and the shaft bore are all critical. I checked a couple of commercial pulley sources and note that "bushed bore" pulleys are a thing - I was wondering if you had considered one? The pulley has a large center hole and is purchased for its outside diameter and belt side. then the center bushing is purchased separately based on the bore to fit the shaft and the bushed bore which bolts to the pulley can be more easily replaced (and is a LOT cheaper). I would be glad to do some detailed research for you (my privilege...no charge) but would need the OD of the pulley...the belt size...and the bore size. My initial research indicates that a bushed bore pulley should be cheaper that the $400 number you were throwing out there but I won't know that for sure until I have the details. I know this...the bore bushing can be had in the $40-50 range and could be dealt with a WHOLE LOT easier than that process you are going through. Thank you, again, for keeping it real. Going through years of drought is challenging...but the Lord is good!
Will Scott AKA leg arms you did good with that bull tooth breaking down that cement in that little slab of pillars it will be a lot better for turning the semis around in there
And that is our Scott. While the others play, he is hard at work ... !!!!!!
That sprayer nighttime footage is neat
amazing video. thank you so much
Thanks Steve!
Do you have a video talking about what grain augers you have and use?
Would love to see them.
Funny you ask as in likely the next video we show our largest auger we now have at the farm. Should come out next week.
@@WelkerFarms I starting building them last year.
I'm excited to see 🙈
Great job Scott
Spraying with the brute at night is like a battle between the light and dark side!
I really enjoyed video. Thank you for making it, alll of it.
May need to buy the excavator breaker and spend a few days wailing away at the concrete blocks. Look into a blasting rig and ANFO. THAT'S LOTS of concrete. 13:50
You may need to increase the flow rate on your hydraulics to get the jack hammer to work properly
Another great video!
the skidsteer is not heavy enough to hold the breaker place when the breaker is vertical.
Great video guys God bless you guys and your family 🙏
God bless!
Just wondering why you wanted heaps of little silos instead of a couple big ones or even an elevator setup
You guys are the best.
