Some of the 3v3s were closer than they appeared in the final scoring due to how many points each player was worth. Pulse Armor to prevent ACS overload seemed clutch. The kicks covering weapon reloads were nice too. No shoulder shields though?
They only have chapter 1 parts to work and play with.

@@CorwinTheOneAndOnly I know that it's not fast like AC4 but still fast and what I mean with end game meaning alot of people can have more item so they can boost longer dodge and the bunny hop around AC 6 there's video before where some veteran at Japan play 1 v 1 vs a.i it's actually looks much better how he used the boost and him controling it than the gameplay here like this gameplay doesn't show the real intense shit yet this people still learning the movement

I m an hardcore gundam fan, and let s admit it, armored core is the closest thing we will ever get tk a decent gundam game outside of srw. Still not looking as good as AC 4A movements but it feels less overwhelming. The sheer speed in 4A was crazy
If anything 6th Gen Combat is a modified 3rd Gen Combat, since Jumping is a thing but now you cant recover energy while in the air
The game REALLY want you to play balancedly, cant fly infinitely but also shouldnt stay on the ground all the time
Even the Lock on force you learn how the 3 Lock system work because some might be better for close range while others is better for long range
Some are better for 1 target, some are better for multiples
@RenoKyrie we've still yet to see if there are generators/boosters which can regenerate mid-air, it would be a nice ability for less powerful but efficient boosters like ac3 drake, or if there is extension somethin, I hope so 😂
Yeah they've never managed to make a really good Gundam game

Totally agree. AC is more "Gundam" than any Gundam game on the market. Would even argue post-AC3 mechs are more "realistic" and "grounded" than anything in the Gundam franchise outside of 08th MS Team.
Alot of people were complaining that the tank build is too OP after seeing fightingcowboy destroy with it, but i think he just destroyed in general, even with the other builds.
After seeing a team of tank builds, maybe a team of them is pretty OP. But one on one, it's doable. It's definitely because the tank tracks allow for heavy fire while moving. But again, they are limited to what builds they can use. Who knows, maybe the tank build will be completely useless late game after people start unlocking more parts and making better builds.
Better title: "Getting my butt whooped for 45 minutes straight."

As someone who has never played an Armored Core game, I was not expecting to be so excited for the PvP side of the game, but it looks amazing.
I'll be very honest. At first all the chaos seemed just random bullsh** and all looked like just aim all unleash hell, but the more I watch, more I understand the peculiarities and man it's becomes funnier and funnier. Can't wait to assemble my on AC
I love how outrages the effects are it will just make the combat more interesting

Quads and tanks look soooo strong, i really hope lighter ACs aren't as weak on launch as it seems they will be.
No you'll just have to be a good pilot to make them work like always. Oro piloted his wrong against cowboy. He tried to face tank a tank using an AC made of glass. That's not light builds sucking that's bad piloting also they only have chapter 1 parts available.
That green and purple color scheme looks awesome. It reminds me of Devastator from the Decepticons.
I'll be honest, I'd say the part I like the most about this game is the customisation.
You can literally make a badass and/or hilarious mech.
I literally have in mind to make a pure white mech with some pink or yellow spots like a F1 car lmao.

I haven’t seen people talk about it in pvp but literally first round, everyone opens fire and I can’t help but think the gunfire and explosions look so fucking cool
I would have liked to have seen more buildings and objects to hide behind and strategise around, it looks a bit bare and like a destruction derby. I am not experienced with the franchise so I assume that this is normal pvp.
Cleric put out a video where he was saying the other maps they weren't allowed to show off had more going on, they were just limited to these handful of maps for the purposes of the stream

The full grenade launcher tech in that final round was the right counter play. Your whole team had to focus Cowboy to keep that burst at bay.

Even though it doesn't have Coop I hope they add that in a later update. I'm more Coop than PVP. But I will say this From Software has never disappointed and I've always Pre-ordered games from them. Mech games are just a rare gem nowadays. But it looks a little difficult I'm a casual player hopefully it doesn't get to sweaty like how MW2 2022 SBMM did but still it looks so fun.

Found it. Chapter 4 find the convergence mission. At end of the low area with the bridge. Gonna have to earn it though. Hard 2 part boss fight to beat.

Im kinda worried about the stun mechanic. It leaves so much room for a cheesy 1 shot build, or just the brain dead mentality of "stagger with a quick stagger weapon, switch to big damage weapon" and repeat

Simple, because Gundam game devs haven't been as good as Fromsoft. Bandai is also covetous of their IP. You should check out the Xboost 2v2 fighter, it's the best Gundam Game. Just too bad they refuse to port it to the west properly.

One thing to notice in AC games is that it doesn't have I-frames. (Not sure if that's still completely true with this new game tho, is it?)

Oroboro is clearly a skilled player, but he made some super newb mistakes playing the quad (i.e. staying grounded for far too long),
Noticed he was constantly opening himself up to stuns, and using up all his stamina.
btw does energy weapons still consume energy in this game or is it just ammo now?
It's ammo and overheat, as far as I'm aware. So they basically work like Halo's plasma weapons now.
love the gameplay but Hearing e-sports commentary for AC feels kinda.... yeah
Tank + gatling feels like an unbeatable combo : crazy health, crazy stagger bar, crazy dps, and you can't get even near them or else you're getting shredded. How are you even supposed to counter that ? A fast but weak (to middle strengh) ac just can't keep up
The solution is to NOT get near them lol. Every other ac is just faster than a tank, especially rjs and quads. Tanks get absolutely demolished bt arrial and ranged play. What you *shouldn't* do is run in close and try to out-tank a tank like this is dark souls.
Your dodge is not a substitute for sprint and you don't have any s.
Cowboy's quads missile boat would probably be able to 1v2 or even 1v3 a squad of tanks

It’s dedicated servers since there is no invasions, and netcode was never the problem with souls pvp, it was the p2p, the lack of ping filter and the lack of regional matchmaking.

A good way to balance PVP (countering and hard counter) somehow is to let players chose 3 mechs and then before start a match, one decides which gonna use and the other choose after, the second round, the other way and the third round is blind (sorry for the bad English)
I think a lot of people would be very disappointed with this as a huge part of the game is customisation. This would take that away.

There's going to be some SERIOUS balancing issues with the tanks. Their AP is so is high that they basically act like bullet sponges and thus pull attention away from their non-tank teammates by default.
I mean yeah, that's kinda the point of a tank character isn't it?
@@TheRedDevil7494 The point of tank builds is to equip heavy weapons to be fired while moving. That alone is a significant advantage. Pumping it's AP that high is overkill imo.
Tru,but it's lack of mobility and can be a sandbag. Sadly they don't give tye end game part where engine can be produce more energy than the boost eat so the light build can't spam boost to overcome the tank
Nah, tanks have always been this way. In a lot of ways tank builds are the most noob friendly but their limited mobility really holds them back in some pretty serious ways. Light weight builds have a much higher skill ceiling and in the right hands they are wildly fierce. Oro just didn't play his AC correctly.

THAT is how you play a light weight AC.
Also, iirc, in previous games the legs with the highest AP and armor were actually bipeds. I've build some incredibly tanky bipedal mechs which in a 1v1 could tank every single round a lot of enemies threw at it until they ran out of ammo. I used high capacity machine guns to keep my opponent at bay where I would then barrage them with missles. It was fine as a meme build but the reality is if that my opponent had a laser blade and was good with it, they could dice me up pretty quickly if I run out of ammo.
I think the "meta" will probbaly prove to be faster builds as they always have in past games but it takes a certain level of skill to make a lightweight AC see that potential. I'm sure any build can be viable in the right hands. The core of the game is about you building a mech that fits your style and learning to squeeze the most potential out of it. I think some people might be suprised at how diverse the builds will be from player to player.
I'm excited to see what kind of strategies and styles people come up with in the arena.

I did not know what to expect. This is my first time seeing gameplay footage of this game. Just my opinion, based on what i like and what i don't like in a video game, this looks like hot garbage. Don't take that the wrong way, i hope the game has success and i hope people enjoy it. It's just hot garbage in terms of what i like.

All these "it's only chapter 01 gear" seems hard to believe. There are so much parts already I don't know how it can grow too much more?
The newer gear will a lot of time be variations of certain equipment. My guess is we have seen most the weapon types for example. We will get lots of variations like lighter and heavier versions of parts

@sunsetwalnut6678 the hard lock on is only good at close range, because it lowers your accuracy, so I think it's fine because the lock on can be broken by flying above them, but to each their own

@@sunsetwalnut6678 there are 3 ways to aim, and the lock on isn't just a basic "always pointing at enemy". There are videos you can watch that explain how it all works, if you're interested in the game at all. It's not for everyone though.
