I spent ages in a dark room doing this . Basically we had a stretched screen we coated it in a fine covering of photographic liquid. Th3n the image of the print was exposed into a clear film, we then cleaned that up if needs be, and taped that to the screen and exposed onto a UV light exposure , which the basically took a photograph of the image onto the screen . We then blasted that off in water. , the images was then on the screen and ink would pass through the image but not through the rest of the screen . And then you would print that onto whatever medium the job was
Very good content, I am learning a lot here before I buy my printing equipment. Could you please show how to separate art work from Illustrator and have it ready for printing? Thank you for your time.
Is this something that can be done in your own house ? I don’t have a shop or anything, I’ve been cutting out paper stencils and using ink and a squeegee to print onto t shirt, but those paper stencils fall apart after about 3 uses ….. and if you cut out a very detailed design, it is very time consuming to keep making these paper stencils. Any ideas on how I can be more productive in way less time ? Also if even keeping the same technique, any ideas on stencils that don’t get flimsy and break away ? Thanks for reading
I appreciate that man, I try to be as helpful as I can cause when I started screen printing there was a lot of behind the scenes on screen printing that I could never find on UA-cam. So I’m filling that void✊🏽
@@baavproductions I definitely agree with that. Good job making the information accessible that’s so important. I wish I would have watched these videos before I started
