    Hey Baavv
    Next time when you are pouring from a gallon container to a smaller one, punch a hole in the gallon container so the liquid can flow freely with even air pressure.

    You have such a large space. Consider renting out part of it for a fellow screen printer or other artist to offset some of the cost. That’s what one of my buddies does. Also, try a water broom or some other multi nozzle system so you could get your screens cleaned in one pass. 👍
    Unfortunately, I can’t recommend any specific brand or models because I’ve never used them, I just know of their existence.

    • @baavproductions
      @baavproductions  6 місяців тому

      To be honest feels too small for me haha but it’s a good size space to move up into we’ll see how it goes! But will definitely check for a water broom of some sort!

    I drill a tiny hole in the handle of the jugs and it helps the liquid pour out much easier because there is air behind rather than choking it. Give it a try your next change over.

    Hey @Baav just a lil question, how long do you keep screens not reclaimed after job done ? Looks like the EXILE screens been months now

    • @baavproductions
      @baavproductions  6 місяців тому +1

      Great point, I don’t keep them long they usually get reclaimed as soon as they are done in production. this is a 1 year review, so most of this content like the screen reclaim and setting up the dip tank was shot throughout the span of the whole last year. So when I was reclaiming the screens it was shot months ago except for the talking points where I’m explaining what I learned was recent! Just wanted to work this video over the last year to give a genuine review and my journey with this dip tank

  • @SPYLXER
    @SPYLXER 5 місяців тому

    Do you ever get ghost images after reclaiming I’m currently using Supra in my dip tank and then 701N for ink stain remover and degreaser? Surprised you first sprayed the screen with the ink side facing you. Is that how you used to clean them by hand before the dip tank?
    Thanks for the content you inspire us all. I have my own shop and you make me wanna try more and more

    What press wash do you use? Like the chemical you use to clean up plastisol ink on press or to do an ink change on press. I think I saw you use a spray plus water in a black mist bottle in one of your videos. Is that a good method to do? I need to try something new because this Saati press wash I have is barely working :/

    • @iHustle33
      @iHustle33 6 місяців тому

      @@baavproductions i am new to this and i don't have a budget and i will be printing for my own brand because when i would get broker prices done at a shop these mfs would try to have other ppl print my designs like it was their own and thought it was ok so i had to pump their brakes and they stopped printing my stuff and apologized but i decided to just buy my own and learn the whole process which i already know a lot by paying attention and i tried it once at mc logans printing supplies and it was not too hard. but i was just looking at some used presses. some people buy them and are fairly new and decide to resale them for a good price that is why i was looking at some used ones. i been watching a bunch of your vids you have a lot of good stuff man! thanks!

    I'm new to screen printing and have been having problems with the screen still being hazy/stained from the plastisol ink where my stencil was. I use this stuff from Screen Print Direct called "All Purpose 2 in 1 Degreaser and Dehazer" and it's a blue paste I rub around the screen. Even after doing that I still see the stained stencil in the mesh no matter how much I scrub it with a pad. Does the Easiway EasiSolv 701 Screen Wash fully remove that haze after the dehaze/degrease? I'll have to try that out.
    What chems were you using to reclaim before the diptank? Someone recommended to use EasiSolv 5 stencil remover but I now see that it is emulsion only and not for the ink as well so idk what I would get for the ink if I got EasiSolv 5, or if I should just get one of the ones that do both emulsion and ink at the same time.
    That new shop is gonna be sick man! I'm sorry you had a few problems with it so far but it's going to be worth it 100% it looks like a great spot!

    • @baavproductions
      @baavproductions  6 місяців тому +2

      These are some excellent questions!
      1) haze is a common problem that everyone has and even I still get haze left on screens at times. The Easisolv 701 is a great go to because it helps remove the ink and hazing from the screen and also acts as a degreaser which is why I use that after the dip tank.
      Another degreaser/haze remover I used was the green slime stuff called Sgreen stuff from Ryonet. That’s a great one that smells good too.
      You can also look into getting a specific chemical for strictly haze or even use some quick tricks like a magic eraser on the haze.
      Before the dip tank I was using the Easisolv stencil remover for the emulsion and 701 for the ink and haze
      So I would have a 3 step process
      1) either 701 or a ink removing chemical to clear out the screen for ink
      2) using the Easisolv stencil remover to remove the stencil from the screen
      3) using 701 to remove any hazing and decrease the screen finally OR I would use the screen stuff to degrease/de haze the screen
      How my process is
      1) dip tank
      2)701
      In your place, if you don’t have a dip tank I would try what I just mentioned I did before my dip tank. Don’t get one that does emulsion and ink at the same time that’s more for the dip tank. I would get a stencil remover and a 701 to try and see how you like it
      And new shop is definitely gonna be worth it! I appreciate you
      Hope this helps🫡

    Man you rock! New shop is gonna be great. You just keep inspiring me to work hard and get better.
    One tiny little time saver that helped me is once I had measured the amount of water to solution one time I just marked the top of the liquid on the dip tank so the next time I filled it up I would use that as a reference.
    My dip tank solution washes away ink somewhat but is more of an emulsion remover so I use ink wash afterward. I’m in Canada so hopefully next time I go to switch out my dip tank I can find a supplier to what you got going instead of having to do the extra ink wash step.
