  • G'day! In this video I have another (successful this time) attempt at getting the Futaba FP-T 2F radio system working. It turns out the receiver crystal was wrong. So after putting the right one in, and playing with the battery box, it fired right up!
    Thanks for watching!

Cool dude! The last time I used a radio with switchable crystals was probably around 2005

But I think I will find a stick version of this for the Rough Rider as this one is really for old nitro's. The throttle is only one way, so I doubt I can use reverse.

Where did you buy the crystal from?

Sorry, I don't remember. It was just a radio supplier I found on Google, I believe from the US. I just searched for the crystal number on Google. Sorry I don't have the link.

Okay no problem, and just one more thing is I just wanted to know, I have a vintage futaba receiver and transmitter with the receiver having the same style plug as yours in this video, if I change the plug on a modern servo will it work on the receiver? Maybe make a vid on if you can, will be helpful

What would a vintage new in box, never used with instructions n two servos n crystals ? Never used ! How much is that worth in US dollars ?

Hard to say. At a guess, it would have to be with US$100 or more. I really wouldn't have much of an idea though as I haven't seen one new in the box.
