In NBA Street Vol. 2, you can use the right stick (on offense) to do a give n' go. It was massive since it lets you move without the ball (which you can use to pick someone or go for an alley-oop. In NBA Street V3, however, the right stick is used for executing tricks in different directions. It does offer an insane amount of freedom, but as a result, the give n' go was killed off.
In the Ape Escape 2 Minigame Monkey Soccer you use the right stick to aim and slide. It works really well and is one of the most fun soccer games I've played. There is a spiritual successor called PandaBall made by some indie devs
though it's not a sports game, I remember too human using the right stick to do attacks and stuff. but it just sucked. Or maybe it was an alright system and I didn't do it properly? Idk.
Great video as always! But I feel you haven't done the NHL games justice, right stick is used for more things than just shooting such as dribbling and hitting, basically the right stick controls the stick which imo deserves more credit
in never dead you use right stick to attack same with dead island 1 in def jam icon you can perform powerful directional attack using right stick you literally have to push right stick to do basic attack in jet li rise to honour i think there's plenty of other non sport games that do this too
