Ungraded Fujifilm X-S20 sample videos | f-log2 with fuji coversion lut only

- In my last video about the X-S20, I have a comment asking for the ungraded footage of the 6.2k open gate video from the camera, and here it is. The only thing I did with this footage was convert it from f-log2 to rec709 with the Fujifilm conversion lut.
I shot this with the Fujifilm xs20 with the xc15-45mm kit lens and the Canon FD 24mm f2.8 and 35mm f2.8 with the Urth Canon FD to fuji x mount adaptor.

Love what you're doing! Thinking of grabbing one soon, I'll probably grab the TTartisan 27 lens for it, but would you say the kit 15-45 lens produces decent background defocus with f3.5 for portraits?
Thank you very much! I would say if you can find the kit lens for cheap then it's an okay pick up. It can focus close, so in some situations, it can create a decent background defocus, but at 45mm, it is f5.6, and the continuous auto-focus is not good. I think overall for portraits you will want to upgrade very soon if this is your primary lens.

how did you found autofocus on this camera ? Are you planing to do more review and comparison ?
Autofocus is good enough in most situations, especially with photos. but for video, it doesn't have touch-tracking and it is still not as reliable as sony. I have a comparison coming with the FX30, please stay tuned.

yes, if you buy the fuji x-mount version, you don't need adapter.
is it worth trading xt4 for xs20 for filmmaking ?
I don't think it is a big enough upgrade. The image quality is the same, the only difference is the 6.2k open gate, f-log2, and the updated auto-focus, but the auto-focus is still not that reliable and rely very heavily on the lens. The Open gate is great if you need to make vertical content, but is not too important for filmmaking. F-log 2 is good, but it seems like X-s20 doesn't have a second base iso. I think if you want an upgrade for XT4, the XH2s is a real upgrade. That stack sensor is really next level for image quality. I hope this help.
@@kenyudoit the 6.2k opengate and prores raw recording externally , extra film simulation, f-log2, 10bit 422 ..these are worthy to upgrade for video in my view .Thank you for the suggestion though
