I didn’t realize I had to so much fun watching this midnight special episode until I started editing it. Hope you enjoy watching this reaction as much as I really enjoyed this sweet Fam!❤️
I could see the look of astonishment on your pretty face when he started using the vocoda. In simple terms this is how it works. There's a box on the floor at the bottom of the mic stand. in that box is a small speaker. When a foot switch is pressed it diverts the sound of the guitar to that speaker. The sound then travels up a plastic hose attached to the mic stand and into the mouth where it can be shaped and change by the guitarist. That sound is picked up by the vocal mic and amplified in the usual way. A simple device, but it takes someone to think of the idea in the first place. Great reaction sweetheart. ✌️❤️🇬🇧
coot, the talkbox sends a stream of air through that tube. It's the sound of the air surrounding the sound of the guitar that makes it work. I had a talkbox of my own back then, I rushed out and bought one as soon as I saw this MS episode. So much fun :)
Frampton was super talented, and sold a ton of albums in the 70s. Show Me The Way is another great song of his. Great reaction as always. You have a great smile.
The moment you realized how Mr. Frampton was using the voicebox was priceless, and watching you enjoy his music as much as we do was just as priceless, thank you!

I saw him about 10 years ago and was amazing. He doesn't have the long blond hair now. He even joked about it. You can tell he is just a very kind and humble human being. That's a "talk box" he's using in the middle of the song. He's basically playing the guitar and shaping the sounds with his mouth, like he's talking through his guitar.
@@michaelasay8587 Yeah, I saw an interview where he talked about how his popularity declined by the 80's. Then his childhood friend, David Bowie, asked him to play on an album and they did a big world tour that sparked a comeback. When I saw him about 10 years ago it was a casino venue but it was a pretty big venue that was packed for his show.
Real...saw him in the 80s in a small club in Sacramento...I think I paid like $12!! And concerts weren't that much in the 80s...think I saw Journey, Joan Jett and Loverboy for like $23.
Peter Frampton was definitely a huge part of the 70’s . Very talented. Another great song by him is a song titled Lines on my face . Have a wonderful night and thank you ☀️✌️
I am old enough to remember Peter Frampton in the Herd and then Humble Pie in the 60s before he left to go solo. He was a great musician - still is - and a very lovely person as well.
One of the best live bands in concert ever. Just great fun time music. This song was super popular and I never tired of hearing it. It just made you feel better. Saw him twice...best was an outdoor concert at a minor league ball park. Great memories. Mark
Frampton was big. It was a guarantee that any show of his would be sold out, from his debut, all the way through the 2000s. He grew a very big, and very faithful following. His music was definitely a vibe.
Fabulous guitarist. Frampton is using a talkbox to make the talking guitar effect 😊 A talk box (also spelled talkbox and talk-box) is an effects unit that allows musicians to modify the sound of a musical instrument by shaping the frequency content of the sound and to apply speech sounds (in the same way as singing) onto the sounds of the instrument. Typically, a talk box directs sound from the instrument into the musician's mouth by means of a plastic tube adjacent to a vocal microphone. The musician controls the modification of the instrument's sound by changing the shape of the mouth, "vocalizing" the instrument's output into a microphone.
the talkbox sends a stream of air through that tube. It's the sound of the air surrounding the sound of the guitar that makes it work. I had a talkbox of my own back then, I rushed out and bought one as soon as I saw this MS episode. So much fun :)
There was a country musician named Pete Drake who had a talkbox hooked up to his lap steel and he had some cool songs with it. This was years before Peter came along.
It is impossible to over state how white hot Peter Frampton was in 1976 and 1977. He ruled the rock world and his double LP live album Frampton Comes Alive (release in Jan of 1976) right now sits as the 4th highest selling Live album of all time. Mo, do you remember the Live version of Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd that you reacted to? ( at the Oakland Coliseum-a concert I attended🤟) The headliner that day was Peter Frampton. Peter's popularity was still running high a full 18 months after his Live album ruled the Billboard charts for what seemed like forever. Great reaction Luv, but you never really answered his question. Do you feel like we do? "I don't know" didn't tell us all that much🙂 Take care Hun, RNB
And yes, he's sending the sound of the guitar into his mouth. And using it to talk. He's said that he would do that for hours at a time to learn how to do it better and because it's fukking cool 😎

Your genuine real time reaction in the moment is priceless Mo. I was wondering how you would react once Peter went to his talk-box guitar playing, and you did not fail me, the shock and wonder on your face was everything 😊. Wishing you a super fantastic week baby-girl 🥰
Awesome Peter Frampton performance and I'm very familiar with this this...but I honestly stop and listened in on your reactions because I always enjoy looking at that beautiful face ❤
In my humble opinion, this is most organically creative rock song ever written. I think live album version came together a little better, but it will be played 100 years from now with all the greats.
Peter Frampton made good music. He extended the time on his songs with his riffs and the use of that mouth piece. He was a cool dude and sang great bluesy type music. He's a legend.
I first heard that track at a neighbour's house many years ago and have loved it ever since . Guitar solo second to none . Thre Album this track comes from is Peter Fampton comes alive .
Hi, Mo. Peter Frampton has been playing the guitar in bands since the age of 10. Whilst attending Bromley Technical School, he and David Bowie would spend their lunch breaks together playing Buddy Holly songs. Loved your reaction to his use of the 'talk box', too. Thanks for sharing 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mo -- YOUR FACE OMG 🤩 the expressions and emotion! Clearly you've never seen anyone using the "Talkbox" on their guitar. But I think you reacted to Joe Walsh before (Rocky Mountain Way?) and he used it in that song. Peter made it famous on his 1975 triple-platinum double-live album Frampton Comes Alive, which has a longer version of this track. Peter was one of the best rock guitarists around because he learned by listening not only to blues and rock n roll but to jazz players - especially Wes Montgomery. His scales and phrasing are a little unusual in the rock world. He's made some terrific albums even into the 2000's, 2010's and in 2021 or 22.
I don't know which I like better - watching faces when they can see what he's doing, or when they use the album version and can't see what's happening. Either way, it's always priceless.
Great great reaction! Love seeing people hear this for the first time. 'Frampton Comes Alive' was the biggest selling live album of all time for quite a while and this closer certainly helped. I was in high school when it came out and there were at least four hits from it constantly on the air waves.
Great Reaction to a great South East London musician who was born and raised near me. His Dad taught Peter AND David Bowie at the local Art College they both attended:)

Love to you, peace to you and God Bless your wonderful soul and heart! Take care.
For 1970s music, the Midnight Special was the pinnacle. If you were a band and playing on the MS, you have made it. EVERY EPISODE was fire! I went on a road trip to Colorado with my teenage son and my late mother. We saw Peter Frampton at the best natural amphitheater on planet earth, Red Rocks. As a bonus, Jason Bonham opened (son of John Bonham, Led Zeps legendary drummer. It poured down rain for about 30 minutes and we hid in the red rocks. Then we came out to watch a magical show with the storm and lightning and the Denver skyline in the distance. Loved your reaction (mine was the same seeing him live). Keep up the great reactions and I have to say, you are SO DAMN SEXY!!
I've seen Peter Frampton play at least 3 times when he was performing with "Ringo Starr & His All-Star Band. It was fun because they play not just Ringo's songs but the songs of his guest players. Peter was bald by that time but he still played the guitar just as well.
that guitar was lost for 30 years, he got it back relatively recently, and it was still in one piece and playable. he recognised it instantly. he got lucky, he got his guitar [known as a black beauty] back. its a special instrument, did you notice the 3 pickups? id personally kill to own one of these Gibson models... its a [Gibson Les Paul black beauty]. in my humble opinion its the ultimate Gibson guitar.

Great reaction... Do yourself a big favor and pickup download or whatever Peters album.... " Frampton Comes Alive " In the summer of 76' almost everyone in the world was playing this live masterpiece ✌️🙂
He really played up to the camera when he had hair. When I saw him in the late 80's he had lost most of his hair but none of his talent. He was excellent! More humble. Humble Pie, haha! That was the band that he was in before going solo. Joe Walsh was the first to use talk box in Rocky Mountain Way. You might like that one too
I use to deliver pizzas at Pizza Hut in Nashville TN 20 yrs ago and i delivered pizzas to Peter Framtons house off Concord Rd in Brentwood. Never got to meet him cuz he was always on tour. His family is awesome. The front area of his house had a big marble Framton with a big white piano and his 6yr old daughter would hop up and start playing it when i brought the pizzas. Funny. Family was cool
Also if ya dig and enjoyed this video by Mr Peter Frampton and grew up with his music in the 70s 😀 you may also enjoy the song " Most of All " By Glenn Kaiser and Where Roses Grow Live by Rez Band Awesome songs check them out. Also I remember hearing the song by Led Zepp " In My Time of Dyin " during my drug years and made me think about death and Jesus. Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and a good question to ask yourself if you were to die today would you go to heaven ? And if yes why ? To find out more please read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on UA-cam. 😀

Hi Morenikeji what a excellent choice Peter Frampton. In 1975 he had a big hit in Holland with Show me the way . He is a very good guitar player , I’m a fan of Peter. I love your reaction !Thanks for your choice! Lots of Love from Holland and a big 💋 🙋🏼♂️👍👏💐🇳🇱
Great reaction...
Do yourself a big favor and pickup download or whatever Peters album....
" Frampton Comes Alive "
In the summer of 76' almost everyone in the world was playing this live masterpiece ✌️🙂
So nice to see you again, Mo!
Good music as usual 👌
Take care, Sweet 😅 Baby Girl...
Lots of love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱😘👍
❤❤❤
He really played up to the camera when he had hair. When I saw him in the late 80's he had lost most of his hair but none of his talent. He was excellent! More humble. Humble Pie, haha! That was the band that he was in before going solo. Joe Walsh was the first to use talk box in Rocky Mountain Way. You might like that one too
LEGEND!!
Lovely reaction- your face was a picture when he started using the talk box!
Saw him live. Great concert
It's good to see a young person appreciating proper music.

So, Morenikeji, you found it was worth ten minutes! 🤣🤘 Great reaction video, as always!
really worth it!!
Thanks Mo! That was fun.

Beautiful woman ... like ve the eyes!
WOW a very joyful and beautiful reaction to a great performance song. Thank you
I remember watching this on television when I was a kid. Awesome memories.
The best use of a talk box that I have seen. Love your reaction And congratulations on your new place. I wasn't sure if you caught what he said at the beginning of the Talk box.
I was literally speechless! I knew he said some of the lyrics of the song with the talk box, but I do not think that that was at the beginning.🙂
@@MorenikejiTaiwo I have heard it many times and I am a little reluctant to say it , but I am certain that he said " I want to F___ You," And that mischievous smile. He said the same thing in the "Frampton Comes Alive" Album.
Great song!
