That instrument was an early vocoder sometimes called a "talk box" or a "voice box" and in this song, Mr. Frampton was a master of it. One of the most underrated rock songs--and performances--of all time.
This track brings back some sweet memories I remember buying this album Frampton comes alive at Odyssey records and tapes in Las Vegas Nevada where I still live to this day. The album was released in 1976
7.8K GOOD NEWS❗ Peter Frampton is on tour again. He plays live in Windsor Ontario Canada this weekend March 16th 2024 and throughout the USA after that. He is known as the world's ....or one of the world's best guitarists and he will blow your mind (even in his mid-70's.) Grab your tickets now cuz it may be one of your final chances to see him in concert. I had the incredible opportunity to do so way back in 2011 while living in the USA for 5 years. It was definitely the highlight of my five years there. Want to see more proof of his incredulous guitar abilities? Check out the video where he is playing the song Black Hole sun. Enjoy the concert ❗😃
That was an AWESOME reaction Gracie. The device Mr. Frampton uses is a Talkbox. It allows the guitarist to shape the frequency of his guitar notes via a tube in his mouth. RNB
Hello Gracie. My name is Rich Bundy. I live in Tacoma, Washington USA . Found out about your show from just browsing through the web. I’m 61 years old. I’ve been playing music since I was 15. And I believe it is something everyone should have in their life. Whether they play or just listen. It is a delightful surprise to find a program like yours. Because, it is positive. You are producing a program that is an expression of appreciation, rather than wasting energy on negative critiquing, or mocking for the point, and sense of putting down. As someone who has played music, live, and made some recordings, but still yet to have really experienced reactions from those who appreciated it. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not hungry for attention. My point is, programs like yours let someone know(Peter Frampton did you hear?) many years later that what they did was what the word success really is about. it’s one thing to reach someone life when you play it. But to have someone 40 years later, who knows nothing of you, and or may be thought of as stereotypically not into what you do. Be into what you did. Thank you Gracie. Your heart is in the right place . Rock on girl. Apologies for not donating. At this time. My wallet is close to dry. But my eyes were not after experiencing your show. PEACE….
Gracie, I've watched you on numerous reactions, and I can't get over your energy and excitement! You really are enjoyable to watch, and are one of my favorite reactors on UA-cam. You're a sweetheart! ❤❤
@@GracieReacts That's fine for you! I do rate pieces of music, not saying this is some absolute judgement, but of course I categorize for myself, there are some pieces I do absolutely not enjoy and don't want to listen to again (1/10), others which are agreeable (I would not skip to another station if they were being played on the radio, but I would not actively go to listen to them, 5/10), Peter Frampton is nice, I'd be happy to hear it on the radio and turn up the volume, but still not look for it or ask for it, 7-8) and there are tracks which for me are fire, I never get bored by them, I often go back to listen to them again, I regularly look for reactions and ask for reactions, 10/10)... I'm quite sure you do that by yourself in one way or another, everybody does it, but I understand that as a channel owner and content creator you don't want to infuriate visitors, so it's wise to keep it by yourself and make diplomatic statements... Anyway, here is a new track by the great Kaz Hawkins, just released a few minutes ago, I was the first to comment - this for me is a clear 10/10, so please do a reaction to it (it's audio only, don't know if she's working on a video...) - Eventually we'll get a great live video, but that might take some weeks or even months, I don't know when she'll be touring again... Kaz Hawkins - Get Up And Go ua-cam.com/video/OqZ5OrsPy68/v-deo.html Fire track, great groove and bass, sick guitar, an hammond organ in the background and Kaz' great, heavy, gravelly and warm voice as the icing on the cake, great message too... This is the stuff dreams are made from!

When I was in high school he came out with this album. I thought weak, I was into heavy metal. Now I am 65 feel how good this is
it gets better during the song, the thing he does with distortion thing in his mouth is great...
You like that voice box.

Thank you so much 😊

Love your reactions. The entire band plays this song with the precision of a machine every single time. What a vibe!!
You should hear this performed live off the Frampton Comes Alive album. It is so much better in my opinion.
In the end I give him a 7,5 out of 10...
I don’t rate singers, I enjoy their singing, their voices and feel what they express without judgement.
No need to rate them 😌

Most underrated guitarist. Sex symbol of the day. Baby I love your way.
Guitar goes through the tube, then manipulates sound with his mouth making the guitar sing.
not bad...
😁 it’s cool
the guitar is actually quite nice, the vocals are not my cup of tea...
