Not enough substrate need two inches at least and research on it what's best for your horsefield tortoise because that isn't .not trying to be rude but do a little but more research on horsefield tortoise for a enclosure. And habitats make sure your ramps are seured
Lots of great ideas here! I would do some things differently, but you have given me lots to think about. I really love the second level. Does your tortoise navigate the ramp well? As to what I would do differently: The pilot holes thing is important so that you don't crack the wood, but otherwise not the biggest deal. I would definitely have made the front and front sides taller. Your tortoise is eventually going to fall out. I would also have made the waterproofing out of epoxy and not pond liner. You need to put a lot more substrate in there. A tortoise needs loads more than that, as they like to burrow! It was hard to hear you over the way too loud music. I had to turn the volume down because the music was awful.
I was wondering if this substrate is fine I’ve just used it instead off soil with sand and my tortoise is kinda pissed 😂 but if it’s ok then he’ll have to get used to it, and it’s easier to clean
most substrates are suitable for tortoises as their skin is tough and wont get splinters ect so i feel like its up to you for aesthetics and just let your tortoise adjust.
Please make sure he has plenty of space to burrow!
