- I read so many peoples comments on my videos suggesting their actions don't really matter in the scheme of things and I felt I needed to do a little pep talk/babble :P. Our individual actions are everything!

Ela, I just love this video! As a recent vegan, sometimes I find it difficult to feel like I'm making a difference. The fact that 400 million less animals were slaughtered certainly helps put things in perspective! I am so happy to have discovered your channel, as I feel like I've finally found a vegan youtuber that I can relate to. I hope you have a wonderful 2016!
I originally went veggie in 1990 and the world has come so far since then. Great reminder that we can change the world and this change can be quicker if everyone realises their importance. I wasn't aware that China had lifted their insistence on animal testing of cosmetics and want to research this more. Thank you for an excellent video!
I have looked into this again and can only see that domestic Chinese products are exempt from animal testing. Please correct me if I'm wrong and I may have misunderstood you. Love your channel either way!

I don't know if anyone would be in the same boat but for me there are certain things I can't do because it compromises my health & wellbeing. I'm no good to anyone or anything when I can't function properly. This year I have to work on focusing on what I can do instead of what I can't.
really love this! it's about the little steps you take. if everyone would at least eat a lot less meat we'd all be better off. healthier, greener. it's about getting started and along the way you will inevitable inspire others to follow you :)

This honestly made me cry. I went vegetarian years ago and I've finally convinced my mom to let me be vegan, or accept it since I was going to do it anyway. Even on the Internet, people constantly bash me for standing up for "livestock" it defiantly discourages me. This is an amazing video even if it's very simple. I hope we can make a difference for the world and the lives that live on it. I don't want them to suffer anymore. Even if it's slow progress I'll continue to stand up for the cause. Thank you for this, I really appreciate it.
+Juliette Fan I really appreciate your comment ♡ The internet can be such a cruel place, but don't let people with lower levels of understanding/empathy have any weighting on you. Sometimes it helps to put things into a perspective that everyone has become accustomed to, like the recognition that slavery was terribly unethical, and applying that to what your standing for now and how people will look back on now in 100years. People will all have the perspective that how we treated animals in this period was unethical, and people like you will be the pioneers of change, the people who stood up and rallied for a better world by staying strong even in the face of people who did not understand/were attached to the ways they benefited from those exploitations. xx

so true. if as a private person it´s sometimes so hard to do the right thing because we fear how other will react to our actions (thinking of men being seen asweak and too emotional) etc, how hard must it be to do a right but extreme step for a Person that is a public Person?
a representant, that´s in focus and critics go fast against her/him.
this to me is the reason it´s still so difficult to step up for authorities and nations and claim obvious statements like
"how civilised are we really at all if we need to Keep atomic weapons in order to be recognized as a powerfull Nation!"
although any PRIVATE Person understands that this is a quite primeval what drives us here, to show "power" by being so primitive and no Problem will be solved longterm by launching an atomic weapon.
i hope my writing somehow is a bit understandable,
well i just too think, if we like to see changes and the world becoming a better place:
by waiting for authorities to lead and trigger this .....well we´ll leave this world in a worse state than we found it. it always have been US that lead the way, since it just must be sooo much harder as an authority to step up, raise voice and change things, because in the toment you go for this (and are compassionate etc) you probably in the same Minute will be critisised as weak Person showing lack of Punch , NO leader type of Person etc.
So , if we can´t Change and reallise how hipocritic we somethimes are, how can we expect this from authorities?

The FBI here in the States recently listed animal abuse as a class A felony! Hopefully that will have an impact on the number of poor abused animals in the country.

i always struggle with feeling like if i dont consume meat, the animal died in vain...its like a double edge sword....i dont want to contribute to the issue, but i dont want the animal to have died for nothing.
Ela last summer I was a vegan for one month and a vegetarian for two. I come from a family that likes meat a lot and its apart of the Haitian culture. So my family doesn't usually get veggies and fruits and stuff like that. Are there any tips on how I can go vegan again even though they rarely get stuff like that? I mean they get bananas a lot, and they veggies st times, but should I start now? or just wait till I'm older.

+zelda kerubo Palm oil is majorly unsustainable (although, there are some certified sustainable options that make up a small percentage of palm oil, but they are labeled as such and are not common). The plantation of palm oil is resulting in huge and horrific deforestation, in Indonesia it's causing the deaths and displacement of endangered orangutans and many other animals as well as the bush fires (they use fire for deforesting) causing health issues for local people - heres quite a good article I read a few weeks ago about the fires www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/26/indonesias-fires-crime-against-humanity-hundreds-of-thousands-suffer :( XX

I like your overall message but you should be aware that Gandhi was a racist and sexually exploited young women. I'm not just making this up you should do your research. I love that you are a vegan and animal issues mean a lot to you, but if you don't care about racism which is a human issue then I cannot respect you.
+Maya I know nothing of that and will definitely learn more! But to be honest - the message need not have anything to do with him! It's a powerful and important idea in it's own right. Of course I care about racism, anyone who doesn't care about any issues that cause suffering in the world is not someone I can respect either.
