Flazz, this was absolutely brilliant! (I watched it twice lol) Seeing the timelapse brought back so many memories of the great time we had talking while building this giant tripod. And to think that I almost didn't have the confidence to ask you to collab with me. I remember the first time you showed me a couple screenshots of the tripod in creative. I was so impressed. I already knew that you are really creative and good at building but seeing you bring this tripod to life in Minecraft was beyond anything I could ever imagine. I'm so proud of you and it was such an honour to help you build it on the server! Your idea of building a tripod in my base started this wonderful storyline that led to so many fun collabs. And you reintroduced me to WotW! No one would have believed that a two player SMP would be so much fun but to me, it was the best time I ever had playing Minecraft. Thanks to you! I really love the way you did this video. The music and your narration were brilliant together with the timelapse. And this blender render is amazing! Thank you for making this wonderful video. I was hoping you'd do it and I'm so glad you did. Very long Sev waffle over. PS Now that I know that you built the tripod, I will have to get revenge >:)
It was fun building this with you Sev, all 8 hours of it 😄 I don't think ill ever consider myself to be a builder, but being able to translate Mike Trim's version of the fighting machine in to Minecraft is something ill always be proud of. And its thanks to you, get the courage up to ask me to collab, so thank you. I'm so glad you like the video, both you and Jera gave me the confidence to do this. I wasn't sure if I should narrate over the top or not. But I wanted to explain why and how. I really liked the blender render, I may do more of that, even if its just for me. Thanks for watching and commenting Sev, I always appreciate it I will face the consequences 😉
Wow has it really been over a year since this build? It was a labour of love, I'm glad you like it 😁 I should really think about doing something similar again.
This is so brilliant! Can't believe I didn't watch it before, its so awesome to see this coming together. Great job and worth to be honored with an own timelapse 👏👏👏 Unfortunately I only watched the newer war of the worlds movie but I've seen some older artworks as well and youve recreated it brilliant 😁👍
Thanks Mike 😁 It was a mammoth task, but it did look so good. It kind of makes me want to see if I can make other huge builds and timelapse them 🤔 I highly recommend listening to Jeff Wayne's war of the world's, and the art work that goes with it 😍
@@Flazzerty now I just have to, I guess 👍 Of course you can, you proved it with this one here 😉 Looking forward to what you come up with in the future 😁
Jeff Wayne's and tom cruise war of the worlds tripods scared me because their so good looking. I just can't help it to being scared. I really like Jeff Wayne's war of the worlds as must as I like Tom cruise!
Jeff Wayne's scared me too, but I a good way. I later read the original book by H. G. Wells. It's really good. The Tom Cruise film was okay too, but I like Tom Cruise as an actor so that helped. 😁
I'm glad you like it. Yeah I did make a bit of an artistic change to the laser, it's also not the right colour too. The "lights" are just in front of the struts, not attached. But I think they may still get in the way of walking though. Considering the restrictions, I think I did okay for Minecraft. But with world height changing, I am thinking of having another go at making an even more authentic build. Thanks for the feedback
Thanks for the kind words 💛 I really wanted to take my father to the 3d experience (I've seen the live show with him), but he's far to ill. But I'm hoping one day to do 😁
I think you've done a crackin job, I to myself am a massive massive fan of the Jeff Wayne's Musical of The War Of The Worlds.. but only the original 1978 version, I simply cannot stand the new generation version, it just does absolutely nothing for me at all. But again great job on this build. 😎👍
I haven't heard Jeff Waynes version but I have read the book, heard a copy of the original broadcast, seen a couple of movies based on it, etc. I love old Sci Fi, ever heard of Day of the Trifids?
Jeff Wayne's musical version is what introduced me to the war of the words. It led me to read the original book by H.G. Wells and his other writings. To think he came up with these extraordinary ideas in the late 1800s, that are still used to this day. Definitely the father of Sci-fi. I do like Sci-fi. I've just re-watched all of the Star Trek TV shows, I tweeted about it. Maybe too much 😅 I have heard of day of the triffids, I watched the British TV show in the 1980s. I think I've seen the 1960s film to, unfortunately I've not read the book. I need to get back into reading.
Flazz i really loved Jeff wayne or trimpod design due, but i have book from my school, when i was grand 8th in my claass i just exam look up and a swear god due, it just Is perfect to my collection due!?
Thank you. I tried to make it as close as I possibly could with the blocks at the time. Im really tempted to update the design with what available now.

The chances of someone building a fighting machine in mine craft was a million to one he said, but still its built!
The chances of someone commenting after 2 years was a million to one they said, but still you did
Thank you 💛
That was amazing and the voice over giving the background made it more so. We want more mega sci-fi builds.
Cheers Bobert, I'm glad you liked it.
I'm under strict orders "no aliens on Daybound" 🤣
@@Flazzerty No aliens? Hmmm. Such a waste of a good scifi builder. lol
There was aliens in Sev's story line episodes surrounding the build. You should check them out 🙂
You absolutely should be proud of this, my friend! :D This was awesome!
Thanks Jera, that means a lot coming from you 💛
Can't believe I missed this! It looks fantastic!
I love the "War of the Worlds" album.
No worries Nowo, thank you very much😅
War of the Worlds is my altime favourite album. I've even watched it live 👌😁
This was absolutely brilliant! Way to go Flazz!
Thanks 8FG. I thought it was about time the truth came out. It wasn't the striders, as Sev thought, it was me all along 🤣
whoa! i love it! it seems something i always love to build lol
😁 cheers for saying so, maybe I should try for a block for block tutorial for it next? 🤣
@@Flazzerty oooh sure! mabye a schematic too

Let the creativity flow 😁

No wonder Tom Cruise's scared you.
13 is a good age to appreciate Jeff Wayne's version though.
omg omg omg
