The more you jack it up, the more it pumps air to struts. Don't know but for what i heard if you going to jack up car, you need to take off #25 grey fuse from rear box to avoid pumping air to suspension while jacking up car to do brake jobs, etc.

I have a 2008 jag XJ8. I’m having the same issue with the passenger rear. I haven’t tried the battery yet but will a strut conversion cause the light to go off all the time?

I’m going through the same thing right now, as we speak I am taking out that fuse, I think fuse number 52, I’m going to put it back in in 15 minutes and take my car for a ride and I hope it levels out, I’ve already bought the spring shocks for this puppy, but I do like the air shocks, but $1000 a piece to fix! I can do without I bought all four of my shocks for $550 brand new... But yeah, great job on your videos they really do help us jaguar owners
My 2004 with 150 K will drop overnight but lift in the morning. I can hear hissing on the driver front strut when I open the door. By the left wheel there are some parts does anyone know what can be repaired?

Where is the relay located for the compressor?
If the back sits higher than the front after getting a suspension fault, would you say it’s the front ride height sensor? The front suspension is equal either side give or take 1-2mm
my 2007 vanden plas has suspention fault and is riding high, it will not lower even on highway. there are no leaks can I some how get to reset?
i have the same model and when i have 3 pax at rare seat the car raise up too much after then from back side. for 2-3 days .... any idea why??
I had the back suspensions struts replaced and the suspension indicator light is still on. What can I do to fix this issue? How much could this cost if I took it to machinic?

Hello Jabo, On my 05 XJ8L the front end drops if parked two days in winter ( I live in PA) approx 4 days in summer. Once inflated and leveled, it rides well. The Suspension fault light goes on occasionally but more in winter then goes off. Had system checked for leaks, mechanic could not find any. I replaced all the struts 3 years with rebuilt struts from RMT in Florida. Any suggestions?
have you considered replacing them with standard coils?

@@JaboTheMechanic Hi Jabo, Unfortunately it didn't help. The Jag is at it's highest point on all four wheels for a week now. Last night we executed your procedure, but nothing changed this morning. Somehow the compressor tank needs to be deflated. How do we do that?

My father has this model (4.2 2003 model) and the air suspension just isn't working what so ever, no matter what he's tried it isn't rising. He's taken a look at the compressor and that is working fine however there doesn't seem to be a connection or any communication to the air suspension module (ECU) itself. Were wondering if you might have any thoughts on what the fault could be?

Issues with xj8 compressors on the front of car starting up with not rise in suspension at all? Have had car jacked up and moved around shop on dolleys. Now that im ready to remove car from the shop, i seem to be unable to get a response of the shocks rising to proper hight to drive once again? Any help?

Mine said that before too, last summer it said it, I haven’t seen it sense, and now I’m dealing with the shock problems.

So, simple imbalance on passenger and driver could cause this rear out.. and I read it's better to get a ? Coil type suspension... and it's a better ride, less expense, ect..
What's the best and worst case scenario on cost..I have a jag 07 xj8 vanden plas, and the x brake and something else don't work, another 1000.. my clear coat has wore off over night, my doors filled with water and flooded my car.. but it's been great other than that and sometimes it shimmers first few minutes on the right side.. could that be it? Part of suspending, cuz it only does it less than a minute, sometimes and that's it... sorry, I'm not a mechanic.

You could switch but will throw an error suspension fault and the ride won't be as smooth

The alternator
So we have to replace the new alternator in order for the air suspension to leveling right as equal each other? My battery was new and the car drive normal with starting. I parked in few days and start to drive normal. I was thinking because I had aftermarket front air struts that’s why they don’t function right.
No. You need to diagnose it first than go from there
@@JaboTheMechanic do you have any idea about coil overs spring conversion? I have the kit, but wondering how to get through with the electric module, so It won’t have the warning sign. Btw is it good to do conversion? Thanks man
What is the problem when the rear suspense rising too high how to control that or how to put it at its normal levels
So you need to recalibrate the suspension first. If that doesn't work. Most likely it's your ride height sensor not reading correctly
I have a 2007 that my front end sags when it sits. I can run it and it will raise up.
Probl only in cold weather,car suspension will not come up.

Hi everyone. I have converted my Jaguar XJ6 (2006) from Air Ride to normal Strutmaster's suspension. Does ANYBODY knows how to disarm the suspension warning light on the dashboard? Any help would by appreciated. Maybe Jabo knows lol.
If you got the Arnott spring kit they come with a suspension module bypass unit.
Otherwise you're stuck with the warning.

There is no sign of air leaks
It could be the ride height sensor or air valve block un spare tire in trunk

Such waffle.....just do a hard reset and the car will level out after a few miles.
