In Bowser’s Rage Stage (Final Boss Level), Bowser not only has a different reaction to when Peach is fighting him, but also has additional dialogue when you equip the Invisibility Badge, almost as if he has infrarared vision.
So you know how when Mario or the selected character is off screen, a little bubble will appear showing where they are? Well, if you go off screen during a Wonder Effect, the bubble will now have little stars around it!
A detail I noticed was in 'The Final Test Wonder Gauntlet', if your quick enough, you can see what color the sproings are before the level gets all dark. They're like a yellow or orange.
About the Metal "transformation", in the game's code it's not a transformation at all, it just changes the physics of the characters while applying a shiny effect to their texture.
3:15 You can actually skip the booby trap room in Desert Mystery without the Drill powerup with a well timed jump, I did it in my initial playthrough and never actually fell down to begin with, with that in mind though I've never tried to replicate it so I'm not sure on how tight the timing is
There's a secret area in the first level that can only be accessed with the ! Block badge equipped. It's from a vine block above a platform of ! Blocks to the right of the cloud platform which you get up to with a flower copter.
In the game’s story, when you get to the Sunbaked Desert, Bowser Jr. has stolen all the water. But, there are multiple levels before the castle that show water in the background.
It's interesting that while underwater, the characters will prepare to stomp on any enemy that gets close to their feet. Swimming fast while holding a shell actually comes from Super Mario World since in that game, holding anything makes you swim faster.
In all of the stages with wonder effect, If you activate the Wonder effect then the coins will start to dance to the beat of the music which is a great attention to detail. This includes all coins which are the yellow coins, 10 coins, purple coins, and purple bits. But however if the wonder effect isn’t active then the coins won’t dance and will just continue spinning which is their default animation.

During the credits if you stand still your character will start clapping to the beat, I didn’t know this because the credits was actually really fun so I wasn’t standing still at all lol
So if you jump at a breakable block mario will do a separate animation when he hits it and same for when hitting an enemy AND everything is 2d just look at the files

Here's one last detail I found that surprisingly hasn't been mentioned, parts of the music for the KO Arenas (when you start the level, and when you go to the next phase of fighting enemies) are taken straight from the Mario Bros. arcade game! I found two more crazy details in Pipe-Rock Plateau Palace. When you step on the bone goomba, it will get rid of his mask and be a regular goomba. It is also the same color as the one from 1-2 from the original Super Mario Bros.
Two fun facts: 1. In the airship levels, there is an anchor at the beginning of the level which is a reference to Mario bros 3! 2. The end of the airships (Right before you fight the boss) are also a reference to Mario bros 3

The thwomps has the drumroll as they drop. Just like when you ground pound. A thwomp's drumroll sounds like a timpani drum. Also, Yoshi wags his tail when he moves.
Sorry for being late. If you take the floating high jump badge, and if you slide and jump, we'll get to see a weird animation of the character shaking their legs while on the slide animation.
Remember before the release of Mario wonder and everyone thought, that Prince Florian, was Prince Haru from the Mario animated series?, Well when you die he says "Haru Haru", which i think Nintendo did that on purpose.
In the level with the big skipe ball (i don't remember what it is called) if you push a normal ball through the wall that you are supposed to go through during the wonder effect its after a big drop i think, a flower will tell you that you aren"t supposed to be there and that things have a certain order
Simple secrets, the badge challenge in Shining Falls actually says POOF! Badge Challenge, because Master Poplin has a tendencey to poof into invisibility. Also, if you hit the roulette block with the wonder flower and hit the talking flower in Wavy Ride through the Magma Tube he’ll say “Look at me, I’m the Wonder Flower!”, before falling in the lava and popping back up.
Toad’s parachute cap’s actually the same size as everyone else’s. Just compare 1 of the 2’s to another character’s in 2-player mode. His mushroom head just takes up more space in the hat.
In the final boss if you have Yoshi with the midair spin jump you can actual hit Bowser early and when he covers himself with his hands destroy the hand and flutter jump then midair spin to hit him and at the last face you can go past multiple platforms to hit bowser early.
Spoilers: King Boo and all other boos will keep singing while you look at them if you are invisible 🫥 Edit: Also Bowser won't look at you during his final stage when his button is exposed if you are invisible
Fun fact: if you shoot enough fireballs at cosmic Mario with the fire flower, he will actually die! It takes about 5 minutes to do, so try not to give up!

When you hit Bowser’s switch, his eyes his turn into the X eyes you normally get from defeating a goomba. Very hard to see, but pretty cool

You can stun shadow mario with fireballs, and eventually with 50 you can kill him
