AAI Spotlight On, Tenise Marie, "Aghalare"

Have you heard of ‘Assyrian Women’? ‘Assyrian Women’ is an ensemble of classically trained Assyrian vocalist from around the world. In this episode of AAI Spotlight On, meet talented Tenise Marie, the newest members of 'Assyrian Women'.
Tenise was born in Canada, her mother is Assyria. Growing up, she never spoke the Assyrian language at home. This year, she joined AA’Is 'Assyrian Women' and decided to perform one of the most difficult and emotionally charged Assyrian song "Aghalare". AAI has been privileged to serve as a mean to bring talented Assyrians back to the community.
