  • Today we are releasing the third single on the newly recorded “Oldies Instrumental from Assyia” CD called “Yala Sora Way Mokhdane”. Like our first two tracks we published, Omar Bashir creatively arranged an Assyrian oldie to be enjoyed by the modern day audience.
The 'oldie' masterpiece highlighted in this song,”Yala Sora Way Mokhdane”, was created by Omar Bashir’s uncle, Jamil Bashir. Jamil Bashir was a renowned Assyrian musician who attended Hanna Petros's Iraqi Music Institute where he studied both the oud and the violin before he became an instructor at his alma mater. When reimagining this song, Omar Bashir stayed true to this beautiful love song that his uncle wrote. Enjoy the true musicianship of Omar’s talents in this music video highighting the real life love story of an Assyrian couple, Anthony Narsi and Savina Dawood.
