I like how the green stems had just a little color left. The book stacks are so pretty and I like the frame as well. I always like how you put a scripture inside a drawer when you redo furniture.
Wow! I love the dogwood flowers you made. I am definitely going to try to make these. I had never really been a fan of book stacks, but the ones you make are truly beautiful. You are so blessed to have your sister to do things with. Thank you for your willingness to share your ideas with us. Many blessings.
They look great! Back in the day we would use fabric stiffener or glue and water to make silk flowers look porcelain. I imagine you could do same thing and then use chalk paint.
Greetings From Maine!!! I am so very happy that I found your channel! I have had a love affair with burlap for years now, but until I just watched your grain sack video, I honestly didn't know or couldn't visualize how to style it in my home! I am re-decorating my house from farmhouse to shabby chic! It just feels better to my senses the older I get! Also, I love that you work with your sister, I am the youngest of 3. That is a bond that the Lord blesses us with! I really liked the dipped flowers; my husband came in and said "that's plaster of Paris! I can do that; can we do that? that looks like fun!"" lol so Thank YOU BOTH for putting that childlike joy and a pep in these grandparent's steps! lol May the God Lord Bless you Both! Thanks! Melinda from Maine!!
Aww, thank you so much my dear sweet friend❤️. Am I’m so happy to hear that your husband wants to share in the fun. It sounds like you have a good marriage and that is too rare today. I personally feel that creating is relaxing and fun. 🙂
@@ourshabbycottage8553 Thank You for responding! I agree, crafting is fun and relaxing and such an outlet for frustration! Nothing better than ripping fabric to get your anger out! lol I was wondering; can you ship up here to me? I will pay extra of course, but I really would love some of the florals and the rabbit and bird statues. I can't find a decent rabbit up here at all! also, would like to try the Dixie Bell paint. Thank you again! ps... yes, I have a great marriage. your right, these days thats becoming rare. when back in my day, the Andy Griffith show and The Waltons showed America how real families should run. Alas, that old snake has gotten his hooks into tv these days! I think that's a Maine reason our country is falling apart! No family Values!! Anyways, please think on shipping, if you can't I understand! Thank You! Melinda from Maine!
@@timmelindastanton5971 Melinda, I really wish I had time for shipping but I think I’ve bitten off as much as I can possibly chew😉. I’m so sorry. I agree though about the state of our world and absolutely no programs on tv like that anymore. I just don’t watch. It frustrates me too much and tries to steal my joy. Again, I’m so sorry about not shipping.
Awesome dipped flowers. They used tmake a porcelain dip that was like yogurt. They turned out real nice Love the book stacks. They are really pretty !!
No favorite here. They are all gorgeous! Sharing your experience with the plastering has saved the rest of us alot of aggravation 😊 thank you again sweet friend ❤️
I Love how your projects turned out! I did some flower dipping a couple of years back and wasn't real pleased with it but I'm going to try it again with the thinner mixture. TFS! LOVE your channel!! God bless you and yours!
These turned out beautiful. I did the plaster several years ago with larger flowers and put a tea light on the middle. The Oswald Chambers book is an excellent book. Next time keep that one to read. 😉
hi Lisa and sister. these are beautiful. I found the plaster chips off so you may want to seal them or paint them white. I used modge podge. great video. have a great week. God bless.
All of your projects are so beautiful. I’ve been seeing a lot of people do these stackable books and as many projects that I’ve tried my hand at…. This is one I’ve never tried. But definitely will.
I love the book idea. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm doing rustic farmhouse decor in my living room and dining room and looking for ideas. Thank you so much It's absolutely beautiful
How pretty these all are, Lisa! I bought some plaster of paris about a year ago to try this technique but never got around to doing it. But you and your sister have inspired me to give it a try... Fingers crossed!
Those book stacks are beautiful. I am going to make those. And that picture frame was so pretty 😊I also appreciate how you and your sister shared how you changed the instructions for the plaster to help make the flowers turn out better
You’re absolutely gifted. I’m enjoying the videos so be much. I’m really into book stacks too, but you are giving me soo many ideas! I swear we must be soul sisters. Lol

I love how the flowers came out, very beautiful and unique. I love the book stacks and I love making them to. I just loved the framed! You never disappoint!
Love your ideas. Not sure about the plaster because of the plaster crumbling, I may just use the wooden flowers that feel like real pedals, the ones you can dye but I would leave them in the natural color, they look antique.. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you change those cheap looking flowers into something quite magical. They are really really awesome and stunning too. And they would go onto any project too.... and I really really love ❤️ how they looked so gorgeous with the books and the lace too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Thanks for sharing your trials and tribulations with the plaster dipping. I do have some plaster so maybe I will try it. I was wondering how pine cones would do. Your projects turned out nice.
I Absolurely Love this look. The flowers turned out Great and I Love how you aged the books. I haven't used plaster since school. Nicely Done. You and your sister make a Great team. TYFS my Dear Friend. (Pauline S)
Once you get the plaster with the right ratio you can do amazing crafts with it don't give up. Make sure when drying to come up with it hanging device surfaces can't touch plaster pieces
I found you looking for how to plaster flowers and came across this beautiful video now I'm going to be making book stacks yours turned out so so pretty 😁

I dipped flowers and I hung them on a rack upside down to dry. They were very pretty. I used them as frame accents
That’s a great idea!

They look great!
Back in the day we would use fabric stiffener or glue and water to make silk flowers look porcelain. I imagine you could do same thing and then use chalk paint.
That may work better!
You can still get fabric stiffener which works great!
Great ideas !!!
Thanks for this tutorial. If your wash is too dark, you can put a little gesso on top, and, in fact, it adds a bit of interest.
Thank you friend ❤️. Thanks for the tip!
Beautiful ♡!!! I love neutral colors too and old things.
Thank you friend❤️
*My favorite was the picture frame with the Scripture.🙏✝️💜*
