"Bestie" was composed by Mike Einziger of the rock group Incubus specifically for Band-Maid to record. Mike met Akane backstage at the Pointfest Festival in St. Louis last year. He asked where the milk was kept for the artists, and Akane showed him and struck a conversation. A fancam from Band-Maid performance showed Mike standing next to Band-Maid's guitar tech and having a conversation with him during the performance. He was so excited by their performance he recorded part of it for himself. The rest of the story is history. It's amazing how a small act of kindness can lead to great things. Miku wrote the lyrics as a heartfelt tribute to her bandmates, her "besties". Beautiful setting, sound, and images from these VERY talented young women. Band-Maid has proven time and again that they ARE NOT genre specific. They are so versatile they write and record any kind of rock music.

I don't know as much about Band Maid as I do Lovebites or even The Warning, but what I have heard I've liked. These ladies are definitely worth a listen 👍
