Satoru Gojo VS Ryomen Sukuna: 1 Year Later
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 вер 2024
- This video will be speaking about the battle between Gojo & Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen. This battle takes place between chapters 223-236; so it's very late in the story. If you want to avoid spoilers, click off this video. The Destiny of Humanity on his back alone. The Strongest of The Present vs The Strongest In History, The Son of God vs The Demon God, The Genius vs The Fallen, these two sorcerers have suffered solitude from their strength and to them, the only thing unattainable was one equal to them. As of the making of this video, it's been about a year and some change since Gojo & Sukuna's long awaited battle would begin. This battle had been built up from the very beginning of the series in Chapter 3, with Sukuna's declaration of Gojo being the first person who's life he will claim when he re-obtains his full strength, and Gojo going on a few moments later to assure Yuji that Sukuna, like the rest of his many challengers; would be no problem to him. It wouldn't be until Chapter 221, 218 chapters after these two characters had this conversation that they would clash once more, and set up their death match in order to determine who is truly the strongest. In this video, I'll be speaking about this death match in particular; and many topics that surround it from a perspective that comes after a decent amount of time has passed. Buildup, strategy, analysis of the two characters, fan reception, and more. This fight as a whole means so much to me, but I'll save all the genuine love for it I have for the end of the video. With that said, I value the time of both you and I, so let's get into the video.

Gojo undoubtedly had the better abilities. Limitless is a far better technique than both shrine and the shadows. So why did Gojo lose? Simple Sukuna is the better sorcerer. It’s not the tool, it’s the person wielding it.
Plot, if what you said was true then sukuna wouldn’t have needed 10 shadows during any point in the fight
Basically, Gojo was stronger than Sukuna. Through Sukuna’s wit, he grew stronger than Gojo within the battle.
let's be honest here, if it wasn't for Megumi tanking UV and adapting for mahoraga, sukuna wouldn't have stood a chance, oh and let's not forget about the fact that he needed the blueprint from big raga to land that world cutting slash. So for all intents and purposes, if we're strictly talking about who's the stronger and better sorcerer, without any fancy additions and asspulls, the crown goes to gojo. And I'm saying this as a fraudkuna fan, not a gojotard.
@@FTL_SANContext. He needed it for a specific ability he wanted which required dragging out the fight for Mahoraga to adapt.
@@jackaboynaylor9273 he still needed it at the end of the day. Even if it was to just upgrade the technique that works on everyone in the series except for gojo
Thank you for having reading comprehension and reminding me I spend too much time on Jujutsufolk
Blows my mind that your channel isn't bigger, really only a few out here doing series analysis even close to your level.
How do you feel about current Yuji being able to handle the disaster curses on his own? 🤔🤔🤔
This was truly a beautiful fight, no yap jutsu, no flashbacks, nothing - just both throwing hands and CT’s
Sukuna underplayed at the start of the fight, got serious by the end and praised Gojo at the end.
Gojo gave his all, and in his death, he died happy. Even went on to admit, Sukuna didn’t go all out.
Sukuna started the fight by claiming to remove the scales of fish, and he followed his claims by cutting through Gojo’s infinity.
People say he used Mahoraga so he cheated, but he only did all that to learn how to truly bypass Infinity.
We saw Sukuna using Domain amplification along with his Domain Expansion in base form. We know he could have gone his full form with Kamutoke if needed. There were no plots pulls everything was meticulously planned put on paper by Gege.
It’s amazing when one looks past the weekly brain rot cope community and reads a work of art as truly intended. As one full story and not weekly tin foil brain rot where each reader didn’t get their head canon drawn next.
Being a JJK fan during this fight was a roller coaster to say the least!!! 🤘🏽
Gojo had Usher do a whole cosplay as tribute for his death that was a crazy day for the internet
I thought the battle was executed perfectly just as Sakuna’s strategy was. The fact the Sakuna a curse based on a being who possesses dual souls decided to possess the one soul/ person he knew could counter Gojo’s infinity and then using a binding vow that would allow WCS to bypass his 6 eyes by making it an instant sure hit technique that is utilised by thought and intention alone the one thing Toji showed could be used to defeat Gojo previously effectively making it’s trajectory and timing unknowable as the 6 eyes doesn’t grant telepathy. Then buying enough time to wait and allow for the adaptation to infinity to be made whilst also waiting for the perfect moment to release the WCS when Gojo’s guard was lowest as he was assured of his victory exploiting his arrogance and over confidence was genius levels of execution that remained consistent with the story. Peak writing. Ultimately the smarter more experienced and prepared combatant won the battle but at the cost of losing the war Gojo’s sacrifice wasn’t in vain and he got the warriors death he deserved
Gojo truely was the strongest socerer and Sakuna was and remains the greatest Jujutsu Socerer
really sad seeing gojo loose this way. Hes stronger in a 1v1 but sukuna outsmarted him and used mahoraga and the world cutting slash. Very good fight and a really good video!
We’re here to have a meal😮💨

didnt ryu live a fulfilling life
reincarnate (like sukuna did) and get to have his dessert with Yuta and then overeat himself (sukuna)? as pathetic as it may seem (ryu got used to powerscale Sukuna, like how a strong character usually jobs to a stronger character to show that that stronger character is a threat - like hulk being violated by Thanos)
im just saying, it may not look like it, but Ryu got what he wanted, i would even like to say he went out satisfied
Tojis reincarnation too after learning about megumi
higuruma too (lets just say hes dead cuz there was 0 reason to have him survive)
Choso too
also kashimo, he went out the same way gojo did
Sorry it took me so long to become a member! Day1
Hopefully we get a JJk pt2 or somthing similar maybe a prequel because I feel there is more to come in this universe the power system created and things like domain expansion are such a breath of fresh air for Shōnen type mangas. and I can respect the fact Gege told the story he wanted to tell and what a story it was. I can’t help but feeling I wanted more maybe another arc before the shinjuku showdown maybe a merger arc after but anyway it is what it is and I am happy we got what we got.
22:18 you forgot to mention, the chapter dropped on the same week as the anime episode of gojo being sealed
227 was my favorite chapter of the domain section of the fight. Sukuna's comeback after Gojo smacked him inside his own domain was so needed.
The peak of Shinjuku tbh 💕 Gege gave us the best we could get. I remember the funeral of flowers arts and stuff, it really was on of those things "you had to be there". I really did like his death as Nanamin said, he was like a samurai lol but Im glad I wasnt a gojo stan, they suffered alot. The only thing that still bugs me to this day is not mentioning his students one last time in having complete faith in them that they dont need him anymore. Ofc not exactly in those words but hinted at. He was just worried about his letter getting delivered to Megumi smh and that was it. Gege just being gege agian.
Still on the opinion that Sukuna wouldn't have won if it weren't for Mahoraga. Adapting to infinite void, disabling infinity and developing the WCS. Other than that Sukuna would've struggled even in his HE form.
It’s 2024, stop the cope. TF Sukuna would’ve had an easier time destroying gojo compared to waiting for mahoraga to show him an adaptation he can use.
@slayed9602 and you agreed to be respectful. Sweet Jesus. Anyways. Care to explain?
@@aviwentsabo8630 open barrier domain combined with domain amplification during domain clashes would’ve beaten Gojo but he allowed megumi and Mahoraga to get exposed to UV and limitless so he could get a new ability

hot take but chapter 236 is the best chapter of Shonen manga we've seen in a while
Still to this day Gojo was more impressive than sukuna, kinda wild a human rivaled the literal god of jujutsu that is no longer human

if youre saying it works like lille barros X-Axis then kashimo wouldnt be able to dodge it let alone maki
it just appears on your coordinates, so reacting to it is impossible
with maki especially, it shows the slashes already being there and then she gets out of the way
unfortunately it does travel, which I dont understand how
it doesnt tear apart space but is supposed to cut space, idk man. gege didnt think this one through
Sukuna looked so strong after the gojo fight. But then he disappointed. In a reverse situation, gojo would have annihilated the yuuji gang in minutes.
If we put Gojo in the same situation as Sukuna? Not being able to use RCT, DE, having half of his total energy and low energy release?
Friend, Sukuna was NERFED AS HELL, precisely because of his fight against Gojo.
Buddy I hate to break it to you, gojo would have been cooked immediately
@@krriss090 nah he's right tho Gojo can't be at half of his total CE because he has the 6 eyes. Now even without rct and low output gojo would still rock them. Bro has infinity and Yuji soul punches (who had the biggest nerf on sukuna) are useless. The only moment they can win is if they all jump him in Yuta DE while he still dont have rct. If he regains it through black flashes its GG for gojo even if his DE don't come back.
@@uchiwamadara4614gojo gets hit by ice breaker as the sure hit for yuta DE and he's cooked. Like literally if roles were reversed he'd be cooked by higuruma DE as well. Not to mention the soul cutting katana will do damage.
@@uchiwamadara4614 six eyes doesnt mean infinite ce, we have seen in the gojo v sukuna fight that his CE can drop
It's cool to see, most people at least get started on the show/manga because of gojo, they get deeper into the story through characters like Todo and Toji for example; then, at least for me, become completely immersed/cemented in JJK after reading this fight.
Gojo was lowkey cooking sukuna till the end

@@princeofdarkness9088yuta in gojo’s body was able to keep up with full power sukuna even though yuta had not mastered/ learnt to use infinity properly, so by this logic if it was not for binding wove asspulls and ahoraga gojo would have easily won against full power sukuna
@@RandomUser_9482me when i lie💀💀 yuta was not keeping up with a full powered sukuna his entire purpose was to burn out sukuna’s domain. Let’s not pretend like yuta was going against sukuna on equal levels
@@princeofdarkness9088You’re putting this in every comment even tho this is what gojo had THOUGHT not what was STATED by the NARRATOR. By your logic gojo wins cuz kusakabe said he won lol 😂. Please stop embarrassing yourself because we know sukuna wasn’t holding back. Gojo only thought that becuz sukuna didn’t use fuga…which would’ve been useless in the fight. Matter of fact sukuna probably wouldn’t be able to even use it because of the nature of his technique….him and gojo kept spamming domains so he couldn’t heat up his stove.
@@mahidsahariarmazumder2658 i mean yuta was not used to infinity and gojo’s body yet it was not like sukuna blitzed him in an instant and that’s why i said that yuta was “keeping up” with sukuna even though barely and was still able to land an hollow purple. Thus gojo who had trained his entire life to master six eyes and infinity would have easily blasted sukuna at full power if it was not for fraud king’s stupid plot armour

Gojo was stronger than Sukuna. Sukuna was more calculating
It was extremely close the only thing gojo had better was close combat, sukuna was better in sorcery what actually matter

The battle that proved sukuna is strongest, still sukunas character was potato in the ending ngl.
now if we can just get that movie adaptation...
If I were Gegê I would put "the strongest sorcerer of the modern era vs the greatest sorcerer in history"
Only thing I disliked is why we never found out what the binding vow is to get a open domaim
I am so much irritated by the fact that the video is 27:59 minutes long and not 28 😑
25:09
i can see that but i also take it that sukuna meant that hes going to break down gojos resolve and attitude and finally expose him like hes an average sorcerer just like the rest of them
this is because , Sukuna calls gojo ordinary when he thinks hes about to kill gojo. This is because he hasnt devloped his WCS yet, which means Gojo was just a regular guy who fought sukuna ( the fight wasnt over yet so this was sukunas assumption or whatever)
Gojo himself seeems disappointed in himself, expecting to die - but then UV kicks in
furthermore
Sukuna tells yuji the same thing
"ive faced plenty of guys who shi talk a lot, until its time for them to die, then i see their true colours"
ofc im paraphrasing
Gojo also declares hes gonna wipe sukuna or something and that Sukuna is the challenger
But in retrospect, we see Gojo had doubts about winning. Heck, the first thing he says is that he doubts he could win even if Sukuna didnt have 10S (ofc i already extrapolated on this specifically in another video of yours, i think its the one from last year based on the same topic)
gojo also wrote letters to megumi and the others (the megumi one was particularly terrible "its in character" its trash idc, it was built up to be a serious moment. its trash)
this further corroborates that he at least prepared for his loss, sukuna had no such failsafe's. He kept his moves transformation, kamutoke, fuga) until after gojo died, everything flowed perfectly. heck, if he cared enough he wouldnt even have lost.
theres also the yuta and hakari jumping in part as well as Yuta literally training in gojos body
Gojo was never gonna win, he died happily though but Sukuna nearly exposed him ("Ill enclose my domain and kill you while adapting to your infinity"). At least he dropped his façade in the afterlife
Your logic imo is flawed in any fight it’s a 50/50 win chance
Having back ups in case something goes wrong isn’t a bad thing it’s called common sense in a fight to the death shown in chapter 271 gojo and earlier chapter was confident multiple times he would win. Which ig your failing to remember?
Gojo left stuff just in case he lost that is all not that hard to grasp bit parties where going in for the fight of there life . Only 1 can win , doesn’t it make sense the person who cares for others ? Would leave stuff behind in case something bad happens ? Where Sakuna has nothing to leave behind or care for so he didn’t need to do the failsafe both individuals r 2 opposite 1 cares for others the other doesn’t even if both parties r confident
In a fight anything can happen my guy
U can be confident all u want but it literally changes nothing in a fight Anthony Joshua vs Daniel dubo for example Deontae wilder vs Tyson fury all of these people where confident
GoJo never would of won cause of the sake of the plot sure I can agree to that

But that's FrogJo.
Gojo proved that his battle IQ was higher than Sukuna’s. Sukuna went in with multiple plans and backup plans and Gojo countered everything on the spot. Wish we could’ve saw the fight with no Ten Shadows involved.
He still had prior knowledge of the ten shadows, and even countering Sukuna's domain, Sukuna still used Megumi to hold back the adaptation, and in the end he delivered the fatal blow with Mahoraga.
Just by creating the world CUT slash and all the planning we already see who has the highest battle IQ, in addition Gojo himself said that Sukuna's adaptability is greater than his.

We wanted many things, I really wanted the merger to happen like yuuji and co dying if old age and causing it to begin. But instead of being a doom it turned out to end CE and curses since no one knew what it was or what it did, it could have been something positive. Alas it is what it is
@SemekiIzuio I like this idea too. In fact, you might be able to tie in the geo body/soul thing in to it. Although I do fear people would start saying "kenjaku was right".
wait how am i seeing this
@21:55 Maki would like to have a wird lmao
you can see in the page that his hands were not together & the slash actually traveled due to how the wind was drawn covering the entire distance from Sukuna to Maki; unlike when it came to Kashimo. It was not a WCS.
@@1hundred1 thats just artist interpretation to to accentuate the forward motion presented by the instantaneous activation of the Slash. That is a common thing and it is technically consistent with how GeGe did it, that's the specific reason why he went out of his way to have sukuna hide majority of the chant outside of the one phrase Maki was able to hear. We missed parts of his hands being classed because he goes out of his way to hide behind vehicles and move around It was the W.C.S
@@1hundred1 and technically the first time we really see it travel slightly was when he first fired it at kishimoto, now I could be pulling strings but seeing it cut into the ground to then advanced forward ask Kashimo barely dodged it only with his hand being cut. Then the netted dismantel which may or may not have been a product/variant of W.S.C.
@@ShadeThaArtist 1. this was a one time thing, you dont see rubble flying & traveling when this technique is shot at Kashimo, nor do we see any signs of rubble moving around Gojo when hit by the technique.
2. Chanting is not exclusive to the world cutting slash, and can be applied to regular techniques, so him hiding the chanting doesn't prove whether it is or isn't the WCS.
3. You can see Sukuna in the page the WCS is shot toward Maki. If you zoom in you can see none of his arms are clasped such as when he shot it toward Kashimo. They're separated.
I'm positive it was an enhanced dismantle
@@1hundred1
To rebuttal your first point: The reason you don't see rebel flying is because of the angle at which it was thrown out. When it was shot at Gojo it was at a higher elevated level to hit his midsection because Gojo is tall it made sense he's 6'3" it was angled vertically.
Now when it was shot at Kashimo perfectly angled horizontally so much so that had Kashimo not moved out of the way he would have been split literally into perfect. The rubble moved near the other ending have of the slash which you can clearly see it traveling in the ground. The rocks and things wouldn't be specifically thrown because of the momentum and force of the slash moving forward.
To rebuttal your second point : you are absolutely correct that chanting isn't exclusive to the world cutting slash, at no point did he actually use anything to simply make it a charged up dismantle. Now the example using Maki is contentious because of the somewhat ambiguous nature that it was thrown out. Put evidence provided within the panels is more Credence to it being a world slash that he was able to do very quickly because Sukuna's mobility providing him the luxury to hide a lot of things including the hands + chanting. The design of the slash passing over Maki's head resemble that of the world slash and not just a charged up dismantel.
To rebuttal your third point: Again because they're moving and Gege went out and f his way to have sukuna hide so much in that moment I believe that's an unintentional misdirection. We may end agreeing to disagree on this but I strongly believe that, it was the W.C.S and Maki havin that precognition provided her the ability to dodge it in time. For me it wouldn't make sense for sukuna to just throw a charged up dismantle if he didn't genuinely believe it could get rid of Maki aside from The illustrated motif of him "having fun"

Best way to look at this GoJo is the strongest but sakana is the strongest sorcerer
A lot of people use GoJo said he would loose not what he said , he just wasn’t sure he would’ve won doesn’t mean he would loose js
But let met ask u a question u go into a fight with a gun and the other person has a wooden shield who has the advantage ?
Now the person with the gun would he just drop the gun and grab a shield ? No he wouldn’t this analogy is the same thing for GoJo and what he did by having a domain battle against sakuan
Limitlsss makes it’s impossible for sakuan 2 really do anything besides da and domain
If GoJo never engages in domain how does sakuan win exactly he doesn’t ? GoJo literally gave up all his leverage and advantage in the fight
Now let me ask u another question if one person just dominates another person with no challenge is it entertaining? No it’s not there’s no suspense and it would take away entertainment making the fight be anticlimactic
For the sake of the manga gege had to take a lot of realism out to move the plot forward this is why a lot of movies aren’t super realistic for example scream .
For the people who say gojo cant escape a domain so u think todo boogie woogie can’t get him out of a domain ? But gojo with the fastest feat of ct the teleportation couldn’t ?
Dont u find it interesting gege kinda forgot about using that during the fight as well ?
The reality is gege made gojo and sakuan 2 strong so in certain forms he had to nerf them and take realism out of the fight for the sake of the story

Everyone knew that Gojo would lose and there were several ways to implement this, but the writer chose the worst one of them, we did not get any explanation of how a number of characters were able to avoid the cut and the strongest shaman in the current era why he did not, contradicting yourself and the fans from one page to the next, making Gojo say that he wanted to have fun even if he died and left a monster in front of his students, and worst of all, Gojo Satoru is the most arrogant character in the work after an epic close fight, he drums for Sukuna, even if he loses and dies, what is this triviality as if we as fans were putting her in a high rank and he lowered her himself, no matter how many times this will be considered for me as the end of a fight I witnessed with my own eyes, because it is one of the reasons I stopped watching the manga in its entirety
It's always these alleged ways Gojo could have lost to Tacoma and no one can ever properly State them. Mostly due to them keeping Gojo in the same mentality without whom adjusting to whatever plays are being met. Sukuna had the luxury of working with so much in secret that it was almost criminal

@@hellkingnyoadomain battle wouldn’t of been enough lol. It literally showed gojo using simple domain and falling blossom emotion to negate most of it + knowledge from being in the prison realm. In simple terms, him surviving it actually made sense. While sukuna had the biggest asspull of shonen jump. It technically should be impossible for you to target the world itself, that’s like changing your birth-given technique entirely. But it’s anime so there’s no need for it to make sense. But aside from plot armor bullshit, Sukuna mainly won due to experience and because he gambled. He had to make a gamble that gojo would let his guard down, and on top of that he had to make a binding vow. All I’m saying is had gojo spam binding vows and had a whole second life like sukuna, then he would’ve won easily.
This copium argument is what keeps gojo fans sane
Seriously Hundred you made jjk peak for me thank you for such great narration 🩵
I dont have a problem with gojo dying, my problem is how did gojo not see the curse energy accumulating for the attack and sukuna chanting with his six eyes. To me, gege didn't truly know how to kill gojo.
you are not getting it,
gojo seeing or not seeing cursed energy accumulating has nothing to do with him knowing whether or not that attack would be any different,
he wouldnt have any reason to believe that this attack can reach him
not even the readers saw it coming
and it's possible sukuna used a binding vow to launch the slash with completely zero conditions attached to it, so he likely didnt even do any chants or handsigns
next thing gojo know his upper half was lying on the ground, disconnected from the rest of his body
@@4nnd711 it makes no sense what you said, that technique was the last of the battle. After taking so much damage throughout the fight, it would be completely ilogical think that gojo wouldnt think an attack would reach him. Sukuna's literal domain amplification punches reached him, gojo its not retarded. To me, gege was written against a wall and just wanted gojo dead, it just felt lazy taking into account gojo six eyes.
@@4nnd711how would readers saw it coming when it was offscreen?
@@MorTphyr No, gojo literally had no reason to think the slashes would reach him. None. Just because Gojo expects Domain Amplification to work doesn't justify him thinking Sukuna's ct would.
It's not even possible to use a CT in conjunction with DA to cancel out infinity, thats why whenever Sukuna fought Gojo with DA, he never used cleave and dismantle.
All you are doing is refusing to accept the most reasonable explanation and then complaining about it not making sense.
