Shellcracker Fishing catching Huge Monster Slabs
Вставка

- Shellcracker fishing during the mid-summer months after the first shellcracker spawning rush has diminished... We hit a few beds...some bluegill beds and a few shellcracker beds that was too early to catch fish at a good pace. Finally we found the right bed and got the limit in no time. Monster fish...could hardly lift some over into the boat. Enjoy!

Kurtis I loved this video. Fishing has always been an enjoyment for me. Nothing like sitting there pulling slab after slab in. I can no longer go because of my health but this video brought back some very good memories. Thank you.
Gotta hookum. To cookum salaam peace
Reminds me of my grandmother. Boy she could flat put a hurtin on some bluegill with a cane pole. Only times I ever enjoyed getting out fished. Takes me back to simpler days. :)
Tell me about it. When I read your reply it reminded me of how my grandmother would tear the gills up with her trusty Zebco 33. That's when those reels were made in the U.S.A
OMG... those things are huge... love your video...
Like your umbrella shade idea! Might have to copy that! That shade sure beats the sun all day! The amount of shade time has a direct relationship to fish caught!
You and your dad are totally awesome! Great fishermen!
my grandaddy die but he favorite fish to fish for was shellcracker, brings back memories for me as a kid, thanks kurtis
Sorry to hear about your havens granddad. I understand what you mean because my grandfather past and it inspired me to try to video me and my dad fishing for some memories, but never new they would get any views. we just fished like we always have.
Great stuff Kurtis, love them Shellcracker!
Great vid and awesome fish! AINT NOTHIN LIKE SLAYIN BIG SHELLCRACKER!
for the first time i went fishing with my dad!!,thanks for the videos,i love watching people fish...this place looks just like where we were, feels like comradery!lol yaaahoooo
Mr. Mays, you are on some great fishing with this video. I like the long poles as well when the fish are on the beds, saves time, gets your bait were the fish are and hauls em' right out. good job sir.
Al
Thanks
Heck yeah!! Shellcracker & crappie is my favorite type of fish to catch.. I like the umbrella attachment..
That is an indication shellcracker fishing time is at prime durning hot humid times.
The sun got em pushed up in the shade... At dusk those fish will scatter
Awesome video of some NICE shell crackers! Believe it or not. This video, even more than bass fishing videos, makes me miss my bass boat terribly. I had no choice but to sell it to save our home during the recession. I bought it new in '04 and paid it off in 18 months........and damned if I still didn't have to lose it. I've got to get another boat. I just can't afford a new one like before. I love your videos. Thanks for posting them.
Fantastic...this is my main focus in fishing. Shellcrackers. line zingers...lol
Great vid my man!
Love the umbrella stands, that sun is a killer mid-summer for sure!
You make it look effortless..Very relaxing.
I haven't seen sunfish like these since I lived in the south. WOW!!! It has been wayyyyyyy too many years! You guys rock! I wish I lived in FLA.......I'd love to fish with you! Just make more videos!
Aweee man, reminding me of the good ole days using the cane pole, those are some of the biggest shellcrakers ive ever seen. Tight lines
Great fishing. Thank ya'll for sharing. Blessings !
Thank you
Man oh man!!! That was some of the best fishing action I've seen in a long time!
That's looking pretty damn fun! I'd freak out catching them let alone 50! Thanks for posting
20-25 years ago when my husband and I were fishing they didn't have this kind of tackle for panfish. I wish he were alive to see this.
You've got the honey hole for sure. I know some good spots in KY and IN. I like the use of a cane pole. You have a smooth cane pole technique of letting the line tighten and raise the pole. Awesome video!
Them was some slabs for sho. Y'all did pretty good in that thick cover. Way to get after em!!!
Awesome stuff - well done guys!
BOY THEM SOME SLABS . GREAT VIDEO HOMIE .....

I have some big ones under my dock on Little Harris....looks like you found some nice ones...good Luck
That makes a lot of sense. In fact, I went fishing today, and now that I think about it, a longer rod would have been useful. I like this video and your others, so I'm gonna subscribe.
BROTHERMAN: The hands of a true fisherman...Keep coming...
Excellent Show and Tell.. Now get some music going for the souls next time..!....

This is terrible, now I have to quit work and go to Florida tonight so I can be there in the morning. Looks like great fun. I love catching chinquapins.
I'm sorry to post this bad news. I wish everyone had fishing like this at their local fisheries. It is alot of fun especially when they get into the hotter months and they start to pull extremely hard.

I like targeting them with tiny little tubes, jigs, and crankbaits on really light tackle. Fly works great too

T mo g,
Love your videos bro😀😀

Where were you guys fishing? Man, loads of fun!! Awesome time on the water. Thanks for sharing..
Nice fishin kurt
Huge slabs!
Those fish are really impressive.
There are like a thousand people asking, "where are you fishing?." You do realize he will never tell you. I would never tell you where my fishing spots are.
I dont really care where he fish or his spots. I doubt I would fly half way through the country just to fish his spots. I just want him to keep filming, so I can watch them. Watching for me is like being at his spots and fishing with him..
Just tell me the state
@Jon Bailey wow it was a simple statement that you just went full snowflake on. No i will not tell anglers where to fish when i have spent years to find my holes. ill give you a ten mile radius but other than that you cant put in the work your self.
Lake Panasoffkee in Florida has shellcrackers that big google map it they have several boat ramps I believe.
Love using a cane pole for gills. best way to get em out of cover
These are some of the biggest Bluegills I've seen!, gotta do a pan fry vid!..

Just getting into freshwater down here. Moved down from New York about a year ago and have been doing nothing but saltwater. What is the best time for the shellcrackers and big bluegills? I fish the St. John's near lake woodruff. Thanks and great video.
Thanks for the advice. It is going to be a while before I can do that here.
Now that's what i call fishing no BS
Ok I'm Ready for some well over due videos

Love it brother! Definitely subbed. Tryin to get a channel started over here. And the fish ain't cooperating. Haha!! Peace!
Slaying them in the pads. You prefer grass shrimp over live worms?

Wowza, unreal! Those are mutant big by Maryland standards.

Kurtis Mays What part of the river are you in ? I am up around the osteen area and looking to do some panfish fishing. Going to try them on my fly rod lol
Do you put the season salt in the batter or directly on the fish ?
What test is the line?
