Metal Corner Bead in a Bathroom | Rust

I don't use metal corner bead on drywall in a bathroom because it will rust. I use vinyl corner bead in any area prone to moisture. Vinyl corner bead won't rust or dent, but metal corner bead will rust and dent. Also, when I install corner bead, I fasten it with drywall nails or screws to avoid and minimize cracks in the joint compound and walls.

Did you replace the entire corner or just the rusty part? I plan to go over it with paneling and wonder if it will even matter?
