    Damaging one's own home just to show people how to fix it is awesome! I subbed and liked.

    I’ve been pulling mud for over 20 years and I still get something out of your videos. Thank you for the tips!!!

    This dude has some mad skills. One truly has to wonder, just how many holes he has already punched and fixed up in that house that his wife has never known about. I get the feeling if his wife were out of town for a long weekend with family, he could probably demolish huge sections of the house and have them all spotlessly repaired before she even got back.

    These videos will always get a like from me for the simple act of you destroying your home with a baseball bat. Thank you so much for sacrificing your time and property to show us some stuff!

    Those knives are fine for a home owner that is not slinging mud every day 👍 great job doc, that kit is awesome for all home owners. The only thing wrong with your kit is That I will be losing patch work to all the folks that learn from you and have your kit , I don’t know the cost of the kit but I’m sure it’s cheaper than the 350.00 I would charge for that repair. 🥴 WOW I just went to your web site and I can’t believe that you are basically selling all the tools and supplies at cost. Great job Doc your a true American

    Don’t mess with it, just leave it alone. Truer words have never been spoken. Also, put it on thin and leave it , walk away 👍

    It’s me again Doc, I have been thinking about this video all week ? Because I do this work every day. And if a homeowner or anybody had to buy 3 knives, a bag of hot mud, a roll of level line , mesh tape, nails or screws etc that would be approximately 75 to 100 bucks? A roll of level line on Amazon is 40 bucks , and that fiber fuse tape your using is top of line and that goes from 11.00 to 14.00 a roll on Amazon. Your a real American gentleman, teaching and making this patch super cheap for anyone to do there own repairs. Should I tell your wife that I believe your losing money on your kits 😂😂, I’m sure your bride knows your heart 👍👍👍

    hahaha... I missed the beginning. Can't believe you did that to your house. Good real life damage example. Can't tell you how many corner beads I've seen that look like that. Now I know how it got that way.

    Just to point out a trap I myself got caught in... 4:50 Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 primer is very good primer and excellent for the galvanized steel of metal corner bead. BUT, not the spray can version. The spray can version is different in that it is not recommended on galvanized steel.

    Another great video. Would an oscillating tool work better for cutting the bead? That way you wouldn't be prying out on it in order to cut.

    you can just clean semi gloss paint with TSP.....it will get dust off and dull the surface for new taping mud to stick....faster than waiting 4 primer to dry, absolutley though nothing will stick to a dirty dusty surface.....that goes for anything in construction

    I use green lid mud for 3 coats n then blue top mud to finish, n I still can see where my joints,,why?

    • @THEDRYWALLDOCTOR1
      @THEDRYWALLDOCTOR1  2 роки тому

      Use the green lid mud just to tape then switch to the blue lid for topping and skimming.

    Is the 45 minute mud plaster base like 20 minute hot mud? And does 45 minute mud sand the same as 20
    Minute mud?

    can you use fibafuse instead of the mesh tape?

    • @THEDRYWALLDOCTOR1
      @THEDRYWALLDOCTOR1  2 роки тому +1

      Yes

    • @riedjacobsen8620
      @riedjacobsen8620 2 роки тому +2

      Fibafuse seems to be itchier with little fiberglass fibers than the mesh tape, in my opinion. Otherwise it works fine. Be careful and don't sand it too much.

    Where can we purchase the first aid kit? The link doesn't seem to be working :( am I too late?

    • @THEDRYWALLDOCTOR1
      @THEDRYWALLDOCTOR1  2 роки тому

      No your not to late send a check or money order to THE DRYWALL DOCTOR
      309 N. Prospect St Wheaton IL 60187
      Make the check out to THE DRYWALL DOCTOR. $75 should cover all costs for the kit, shipping and handling costs. Please include your name and address so I know where to send it. Thanks. I think the price may double by the end of the year. But that would include shipping and handling.
