Edward, You neglect to mention the most important aspect of connecting a michrophone to an audio interface. NEVER connct the mic with phantom power turned on!!!!! When the cable is inserted, there is a period of short-cicuit that can destroy your interface and/or the mic. Not only are you neglecting to mention it. You actually DO IT! The phantom power is turned on when you insert the cable. NO! NO! NO! If I see an engineer do this in my studio, that guy is out-a-here. Never to return!

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I need to try something so working on changing careers and diving into doing voiceover/voice acting. Scary process so thank you for such a detailed beginner friendly informative video. After many hours per day(for almost a month now) researching budget decent equipments. I got the AT2020 mic and the Scarlett 2i2 interface and Sennheiser 400s headphones. All with at least 20% discount each. Will eventually upgrade down the line but need to get started without breaking the bank atp. Thanks again...subscribed!
