"You haven't read a word of my book, have you?" "I've read.. about it" That just perfectly sums up the horrible state of affairs in modern political discourse...
Im curious what it is about my comment that either of you think indicates I had trouble grasping the concept of the video? Yes, the book is fake. His whole character is an act. The interview is an act. These things are painfully obvious, and I never said anything to suggest I believed otherwise. C'mon guys, Im trying really hard not to say "no shit, Sherlock" but you aren't making it easy.
Amazing sketch. Clicked the video and thought it would be of some dude "owning some feminazi with facts and logic" but was absolutely pleasantly surprised
But you know thats what the dudes do in those videos. They own feminazis with facts and logic. Because 3rd wave feminism isnt based on logic, its based on victimhood and feelings.
Just a small question, cause I'm not really familiar with the subject. Wasn't third age feminism back in the 80's about various social right like paid maternity and such.
@Son Goku rich from a prior marriage where she got a great portion of her ex-husbands money upon divorce - i'd bet my bottom dollar. or came from a rich family and never really worked in the first place
Even my mum gets angry when I relay these points, her partner worked 12 hrs a day while she stayed home, it’s hard to change your opinion when it means you have to take personal responsibility
*whispers* "I thought i was interviewing a feminist" I am a feminist! God i think its the first time i heard feminist in an epic empowering manner and ive rooted for it
@erni muja Feminism back then was led by rich women you mean. Women with more power in society than 60% of the population, women or otherwise. Back then only 40% of men had the vote. 100 years earlier, only 1% of men had the vote. These women were the wives and daughters of the men that had had the vote for centuries. And if you are to suggest to me that they did not have the power to sway their husbands and fathers votes. Then you think very little of women. These women had many freedoms to do whatever the hell they wanted. Some women were forced into political marriages, yes. But so were a lot of men. That's about the worst thing that happened to them. Back then having a job meant working 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week. In a factory, in a field or some other harsh, demeaning, or otherwise backbreaking job. Or of course you could go die in war as a soldier. The women back then did not want those jobs. And I dare say nobody today want them either. The women that were not the daughters of rich people. Actually much enjoyed the arrangement of men doing labor and the woman taking care of the house. Because women had it better... Have you heard of the anti-feminists? They were equally as many as the feminists. But of course they didn't have the social power, nor the time really to go about complaining. They were poor (according to our standards) and had things to do. In Britain women got the vote in 1918, the same year men got the vote. Men had been fighting for the vote for 150 years at that point. And was given it because of their duty to fight in war. And because of the huge amounts of men that died in WW1 without suffrage. Women got the vote too. Just because... Women joining the work force happened after the laborers had worked for ages to improve working conditions. They had negotiated down the work hours to 8 hours a day and finally the work life balance of the poor was also evening out. The women joining the work force of course upended that. Because now, instead of a family having one man working 40 hour weeks. you had two adults working 40 hour weeks. And the same family didn't even earn any more money than they did before. If it isn't immediately obvious to you, this means you have 40 hours less as a family to spend on taking care of the house and children. If the feminists actually cared about society. They would have negotiated with the government, not only to "let" them into the work force (The government was thrilled about having women in the work force) They would have leveraged their work against bringing the working hours for men even lower.
@erni muja yeah that makes sense, anyine with two braincells would see that women have it as easy or more than man nowadays, their work on that is done so only the dumb ones are left i agree. Hehe see what i did there? "Left" *gets banned from youtube*
@erni muja I guess you havent heard of the suffragets that went around shaming men (that didnt have the vote) into joining the war. While they campaigned for their own vote. Not for the vote of the poor
GAGAGAGAGAAGAG this is wonderful! PRANK! It is terrible! I looked in the mirror and saw something UNPRETTY: my face. GAGAGAGAG! But I am happy again because I have TWO HOT GIRLFRIENDS and I make cool YT videos with them! Good evening, love and peace, dear sana
lol. Its a comedy sketch. Genuine people and rational view points do not promote social division, and consequently do not get airtime. Look up 'Divide and Conquer' and think how could someone apply its key principles to our society.
Man, I'm starting to get a crush on the feminist. I appreciate standing for something, while not getting carried away into falsehood by the thing you're fighting for.
yeah thats real feminsim right there. and thas fucking sexy. because shes a self possesed, intelligent and strong women. she doesnt need anyone to tell men or her that shes equal shes proving it in everything she does and says and in the way she carries herself.
@Benjamin McCann No this is what feminism used to be. Christina Hoff Sommers is worth reading if you want a model of feminism before it was hijacked by bigots.
The book is fake, but I don't think her character is a parody. Yes, it's fictional, but it's also the "serious" voice in the discussion. He's supposed to represent the mainstream narrative and she tears his arguments down with actual facts and logic.
Googled the book and author on the offchance that they were real. Decidedly disappointed to find that they weren't. I guess this is how Pie would have to present these arguments to avoid being called sexist though. Good job Pie.
Unfortunately this doesn't apply to the US.And before everyone freaks out it's been proven that women in white collar jobs here make less than a man doing the same job, same thing for our melanin enhanced friends.A prestigious American University sent identical resumes except for gender and race and guess what?Women and brown folks were routinely offered 10-20% less than their identical white male counterparts.American's are encouraged never to talk about how much they make, precisely for this reason. It's illegal here too technically, but that's never stopped a corporation before. The other observations are valid, but don't cover it all here.Maybe the UK's different.
Stephen Cody exactly, except a few points. It's "sort of" illegal to base pay on gender and race, religion, etc but the onus is on YOU the employee to find out and prove it within a short period of time, otherwise, it's Too bad, so sad. That's what the Lilly Ledbetter Act was supposed to fix:"the clock didn't start until you found out. But, on drumpf's obsession of all things Obama, he undid the Ledbetter Act. Also, to add to what you were saying about white collar professionals and the wage gap, there was an additional study about the wage gap in the medical field. Even with EVERY option the same (IE: Same college, same GPA, same title, same field of medicine, same hospital, etc) except gender, men were on average paid around $12,0000 more per year than their female counterparts. A UA-cam channel Healthcare Triage did a great video on it, with all sources linked and provided.
I always liked it when people use that argument. "How could X amount of people be wrong?" where X = a large amount. Now take religion. There's what, 1 billion Muslims? Probably also a billion Christians? Both can't be right. Now we have (at least) 1 billion wrong people.
That is because facts can't be opinion based. You can ask how many people in believe in somethin purely because you want to know what people believe, or how up to date the population is. But what somebody believes changes nothing in facts.
"hollow political correctness of the left" Fuck off I'm on the left of centre and I find this piece bang on, not all lefties are retards you know, most of us don't buy this shit at all. Don't paint us all with the same brush.
"denouncing the bigotry of the right and the hollow political correctness of the left!" Smug, inaccurate false equivalence. It doesn't make you somehow enlightened to see through the transparent bullshit of the far left.
Daniel Jones, I'm finding it hard to believe that you're even close to the centre when you get upset over a comment like this. They DIDN'T paint all those on the left with the same brush. The comment didn't say "Of ALL those on the left", only that hollow political correctness is a virus FOUND on the left. And you can't deny that. The commenter was also critical of right but you didn't say "not all righties are bigots you know". Seems like your identifying with a tribe instead of trying to remain neutral.
Damn this is so good. I love his rants but it’s great to see Pie as the comedy foil to someone else making killer political and social observations. And she’s just brilliant. Although it’s a slightly different animal, this totally reminds me of Partridge at its best.
I consider myself lucky in that my wife is very similar. A very intelligent woman who is more interested in facts than made up BS and who gives as good as she gets.
I get that it is staged, but as I've not watched Jonathan Pie before, I don't actually get the "comedy"-part? It's a serious topic, and she (the actress) is raising some of the same arguments as fx. Jordan B. Peterson, so where is the comedy?
Christoffer Ravn it's not what she says that's the "funny" bit… it's that an alleged journalist aka "truth reporter" is FLABBERGASTED BY THE TRUTH! It would be like telling a mathematician 2+2 = 4, and them genuinely replying "but I was told it was 22!" Superficial mainstream journalism is what is being lampooned by this comedy sketch, not the serious facts that she speaks.
All the this. Feminism is not about equality anymore. I USED to be a feminist, then I opened my eyes and saw that they are currently shitting on all the changes first and second wave feminists fought so hard for. It's disgusting. I'm not a feminist because I believe everyone should have the same oppotunities.
At this point I advise people to say they fight for gender equality, instead of saying they're a feminist. Just drop the term altogether, because you can get away with saying a lot of dumb shit as a feminist (patriarchy, rape culture, etc) but since the only actual gender issue in society is equality, let's just talk about gender equality.
MsChitterchat I’d say the real battle for you is not the people who claim they’re not feminists but the idiots who claim to be feminists and tarnish that label. Good luck to you-
Gredddfe I mean most people already are, for me I really can’t find any government policy that distinguishes sex that majorly cause unfair opportunities in the US. Honestly the only women-related rights I can think of in the US is abortion (which for me I’m pro choice). Of course other countries may need to work on their gender equality. But yeah, I don’t call myself a feminist, that term has been poisoned and I have no motivation to fight for that label.
Olive, I think the joke is that she's an empowered woman who doesn't have an issue being assertive and asking a man out, not that he's a small man. No? I mean, does he have to be a small man and she have to be some kind of dominatrix for that to work?
Yeah, the problem was never the 'pay gap' specifically, it was always the underlying issues that foster specific environments and/or systems that promote issues inclined to marginalize or dissuade women from entering the workplace to the same extent as men. So. Basically, what the vid said.
@Mel Christensen That's not actually accurate. All it takes is looking at statistics of which gender does what job in countries like Sweden to see that the opposite is actually the case where the more egalitarian the society is, the sharper the gender divide becomes with regards to which jobs people take. In other words, the more sexist a society is, the more likely you are to see women striving for jobs, careers, and positions that might be viewed as "men's work".
Ha ha, like environments where one has to work hard, sweat, get dirty, lift heavy things, endanger themselves, and so forth. Woman: "I want to be a welder". Instructor: "Okay, take that oxygen tank and put it over there." Woman: "I can't budge it. I'm being marginalized and dissuaded from being a welder in this toxic male environment!"
@@scocassovegetus you see maybe we need to redefine what “work hard” means. Have you ever looked after 3 toddlers for a day, on your own? Tantrums and shitty nappies and having your eyes everywhere in case someone falls off a sofa or shoved their fingers in a plug socket… totally exhausting. So perhaps the way to decrease the “pay gap” is to increase the monetary value we place on so called “women’s work”. In fact Scandinavian countries have done this to quite an extent - e.g. in Finland, teachers (majority female in the UK) are paid the same as doctors and lawyers (majority male in the UK). And when you think about it, why shouldn’t they be? We trust them to guide and program our kids. That’s a pretty important job.
This a real woman, a real feminist. My wife gets paid more than anyone else she works with other than her manager, by a substantial amount, why? Because she's got a ton of experience, she good at a her job and when we decided to have children, she went back to work after a month and I stayed at home to look after the kids. Best decision ever btw, lmao.
About time all this pc bulshit is called out. Jordon peterson seems to of started a tidle wave of common sense to come back the main stream media is really old and boring now!
Is that considered sexual harassment? It happens to me a lot. I always assumed they were interested in my point of view sometimes and am not automatically offended. 🙁
I've always liked Jonathan Pie, even when I disagree with his position. This has taken my respect for him to a whole new level. #freedankula #grosslyoffensive
I think she's written around the book 'Women Vs. Feminism: Why We All Need Liberating from the Gender Wars' by Joanna Williams. Very enlightening book written by Director of the Centre for the Study of Higher Education at the University of Kent. Hope this helps :)
I wouldn't say it's completely bullshit, as there are definitely cases where it is happening. However, I do agree that those instances are not as common as we are lead to believe, and that the bigger problem is the sexism that still exists in the workplace.
+ErykaSoleil, Im curious. "there are definitely cases where it is happening." Where? The US ? UK ? Multiple studies has shown that this is not the case in both these countries (and elsewhere, Canada, Norway and Germany that I have read, indicating that its the same everywhere) There might be isolated cases if you look deep enough, but that can happen in any variability (and go both ways) and so far there is no evidence that it is nothing more than rare cases that has no connection to each other and definitely not something systemic. Or are you not thinking about the "pay gap" narrative that women is payed less for the same work, but rather that the jobs women choose to do is payed less than some other jobs and thus they have a lower income compared to men as a whole? If so, that is a whole different topic, and one that I'm somewhat agree should be looked into if anything should or could be done (though it is market driven so hard to drive value to something that isn't valued more by the market itself) Also, sexism that exists in the workplace? again, US? Do you mean at all workplaces in general and its a "systemic" problem, or individual cases? Here too, at least on this side of the pond there is little evidence to show anything resembling the "epidemic" or systemic sexism that is argued in the media these days, though there are cases of it that absolutely should be looked into and taken seriously. Just to pre-empt, I'm not trying to hang you out in any way, I'm genuinely interested in a discussion if you have arguments against my view here.
Ah deary me. If you're going to say "multiple studies has shown that this is not the case", you actually have to back that up with the studies... That's how proper debate works, otherwise it's obvious you're just talking out of your arse. For example, here's how it's done. Independent studies proving the gender pay gap in the UK: ig.ft.com/gender-pay-gap-UK/ www.equalityhumanrights.com/sites/default/files/research-report-109-the-gender-pay-gap.pdf www.equalpayportal.co.uk/statistics/ And before you say "these are direct comparisons, they don't take into account life choices and maternity leave bla bla" - Actually, READ the studies. They DO take that into account, and still find a gap. Now, THAT is how you reference studies
+Oliver Crockett, I'll dig up the ones I read on the UK specifically. I'll also read through those links you posted, though quick skimming some of them even comments on how they do not take everything into account. My point was the "pay gap" referred to in the media as lower pay for the same job, something that is against the law in the UK and has been for a while now if I remember correctly, and at least one of the studies you linked writes about how it found no difference in the pay for the same job. Now this may be me using the wrong phrase for the "pay gap" based of what they define it as in the UK and rather should have used the term equal pay? I never argued that there wasn't a difference in the average wages between women and men as a whole (or even within a sector), that is true, but when you dig into the material there is reasons for this variations that remove all but a small percentage of the differences. These being factors as occupation, full time/part time, overtime, pregnancy and more. One factor is even that men is more likely to ask for raises than females are. The study I most recently read was from norway where they after taking everything into account found less than 2% differences in wages when doing the same work. Again, I have to read through the studies to see what they take into account or not and what their conclusions are. Oh, and I even see one of the studies show that women have higher wages than men in the 20-30 age bracket, though that is never mentioned.
+fenrif, thanks for the quick summery of the studies, that was my initial feel of them but I want to dig further down in them before I answered conclusively.
The world is full of 'people like her'. They are just never allowed to speak, and when they try to, there are protests. ua-cam.com/video/iARHCxAMAO0/v-deo.html
Every feminist I've ever met, including myself, is like her. The 'feminists' that this sketch is making fun of are a minority and the only reason we see them all the time is because they are the type of people to make yt vids about it and so on. The majority of feminists are like the women in this vid.
@@olliekearnon-caister7615 Ah yes, the 'No True Feminist', aka NAFALT. I hate to break it to you, but the ones running the Feminist movement, the ones writing the text books, the ones teaching at universities, are nothing like her. Women live longer, have the safest jobs, are the majority of university students, get the majority of government funding, commit 45% (roughly) of the crimes, and are 5% of the prison population, have enforced quotas for many jobs, get paid more for the same work, are the lest likely to be victims of all forms of violent crime, AND call themselves 'oppressed'. If Feminists wanted equality, they would be acting like MRAs.
He's not. He's a comedian doing satire, and doing it brilliantly. It's high time the few rational people that remain leaning left start calling out the insanity in modern left wing politics. There's currently no place for someone like me that values free speech as absolute, relies on facts over feelings, and yet thinks that corporate regulations and strong social programs are emminently beneficial to society.
But in many circumstances, a woman can get the same job as a man and still be paid significantly less. Also, they can't get those jobs usually. About 6.4% of Fortune 500 CEOs are female. that's not through lack of effort on their part, I can assure you.
again paying them less is illegal if they get payed less its because they dont work as much hours they dont take extra hours they dont have flexible schedules they are less likely to ask for promotions they are a million and one reasons and sexism isn't one of them as to there only being 6,4% of women in fortune 500 companies most women dont want to dedicate their entire life and any opportunity for family to their job and most women are less assertive then most man
Zaper yes it is illegal and it's still happening. Companies break the law all the time. That's why there are so many lawsuits against them and they are successful too. Also there are plenty of women who are prepared to work just as many if not more hours than men.
ranz0u >"Also there are plenty of women who are prepared to work just as many if not more hours than men." Yeah, but on average, women work less hours than men. >"About 6.4% of Fortune 500 CEOs are female. that's not through lack of effort on their part, I can assure you." Women have wombs, they are the ones who take significant time out of the workforce to have babies and breastfeed them. This obviously effects their careers. Men don't need to disrupt their careers like this because they don't have wombs and breasts.
Jordan Peterson's interview with Cathy Newman was pretty similar. Of course this skit was written so it's more coherent than Jordan Peterson having to bat off stupid accusations and arguments from Cathy Newman but the message is still there.
You've been getting blasted because it's pure bullshit, which is why this video needed an actress instead of an expert and why she ignores the ONS, a ton of studies and things like how much a male vs female CEO gets paid on average...
Ste Bear That would be because female CEOs would ON AVERAGE take more time off due to childbirth etc. Paying them less for the same hours would be ILLEGAL.
Murray Illman Unfortunately I can use facts with my friends because they need to be cited in order to be "legitimized." Feelings don't need to be unfortunately so they will always be liberals and I will always be "the edgy" friend.
FrontEndUtilityClerk This is a liberal parody you know that right. Jonathan pie is 100% liberal. He just is an actual representation of most liberals rather than the spoon fed extreme liberals people on the right try to tar us all as.
I suppose the whole thing boils down to the fact that people who fight for equality tend to believe that "equality" should benefit themselves more than others.
I think it boils down to the fact that a lot of people out there genuinely believe men and women are biologically identical. The fact that they are different means it's almost certain there will be a gender pay gap. Maybe if sexism is completely removed from society, the pay gap will close a bit, maybe women would even earn more than men on average, or maybe we would find the sexism is mainly directed towards men and that the pay gap would widen. But I would find it highly unlikely that two groups of people, who have different brains, hormone levels and bodies on average, would end up earning the same on average. I want men and women to be treated fairly and equally when applying for jobs or getting promoted. However, the current strategy of claiming there's sexism until women are earning an equal amount (or more) than men on average, is very dangerous in my opinion.
haha this video is not that good. I did not like it, but I wanted to say one thing. Being equal and being fair is not the same thing. And it sounds like you are talking more about being fair than equal. Someone can give a 100% and it will not equal someone else's 100% So to be fair we give glasses to people that can't see, but does that make them equal, or is it just fair? Just a thought to think about.
A 1000 times better than schmucks like Stephen Colbert.. Mr Pie you deserve a whole lot bigger audience and a whole lot more recognition for your work.. Brilliant writing, smashingly presented like always.. Kudos!!
Hard to tel, he is definitely left leaning but Trump is such low hanging fruit and considering Colbert's current job and the Republicans control all branches of government. Wait for a Dem to get into the Whitehouse and do something stupid and see if he doesn't call them on it before declaring him to be irredeemably partisan. I mean he made plenty of jokes about Clinton during the election. Sure not as many as about Trump but like I said low hanging fruit.
Depends on how you define Trump. About 90% politics, and because Trump is the center of current US politics even the ones not directly about something he did often involve him on the sidelines. So a monologue will be about Jeff Sessions firing the deputy head of the FBI a day before he gets a pension and three days before he is already scheduled to retire. But because Trump tweeted attacks on the guy he becomes part of the joke. Don't get me wrong a lot of it is directly about Trump but like I said low hanging Fruit do you really think Colbert would not have made jokes about Obama if a porn star was suing him to get out of an NDA agreement about an old affair?
I still remember a video Colbert put up several years ago, making the claim that globally, 58 million girls are not in school. Please support charity X and get those girls back in the classroom! A Unesco report was linked in the info section. Knowing what I know about how people abuse statistics, I went looking for the number of boys not in school. The very report they were citing revealed that globally, 31 million girls and *27 million boys* were not in school. The number Colbert used in the video as the number of girls was the number for ALL children. I can imagine the conversation among the producers: "How can we turn this mostly gender neutral issue into a "misogyny issue", guys?" "I know, let's give all the boys an on-paper sex change! That makes it look like only the situation for girls is bad, _and_ it almost doubles the number of them, making the problem for girls look even worse than it is!" "Shit, that's brilliant! Get on it!"
Be sure to look up his videos where he pretends to be a journalist covering political happenings speaking his mind before and after shooting the news. The irony being that a comedian pretending to present the news is actually closer to sincerely reporting the news than the MSM have been for over a decade.
This felt way too much like an actual interview with an admirable author, rather than a satirical comedy sketch for a fake news presenter's UA-cam channel.
which is a shame because now feminists can dismiss every point made in the video because " she's acting" and it's 'propaganda' we need more women (especially feminists) to speak out because as soon as a man says anything they are immediately dismissed.
Feminists are a pretty broad demographic. Other than believing in equality, feminists don't all believe in exactly the same things. Even Milo Twatannopoulos has called himself a feminist (whilst also saying "Feminism is cancer", because, you know, he's a walking contradiction, but still...). In other words, you might want to be more careful and precise with your language. e.g. you could instead have said, "Many extreme third wave feminists can dismiss every point made in the video because ... "
I'm 23 and I'm male. There are 5 woman 30+ in my office who ALL earn more than me. I wonder if it's because they've got more work experience, do different kinds of work, worked at the company longer. Let me know....
It could be that they are earning more than you because of your suggestions or it could be the company has employed women as part of the current feminist agenda.
It could be less men are going to universities because a university education no longer ensures a good job; and only ensures massive debts. Schools however is a different matter.
+Mark Postgate That, however from school perspective, school environment is not favorable to men. In order to be good in school one just needs to be submissive and more agreeable person. However men age generally disagreeable hence less likely to do homework or read to the exams. Therefore their grades suffer. Not to mention that when they are teens and filled with hormones... Good luck trying to focus on anything in mixed classes, especially if teacher is average or above when it come to her looks.

"Left"

I guess you havent heard of the suffragets that went around shaming men (that didnt have the vote) into joining the war. While they campaigned for their own vote. Not for the vote of the poor

That is because facts can't be opinion based. You can ask how many people in believe in somethin purely because you want to know what people believe, or how up to date the population is. But what somebody believes changes nothing in facts.

Whatever you're into, fella. No worries. :)
and a 7 minute video just taught me more about feminism and the "pay gap" than the MSM has in 35 years. well done Pie :)
Yeah, the problem was never the 'pay gap' specifically, it was always the underlying issues that foster specific environments and/or systems that promote issues inclined to marginalize or dissuade women from entering the workplace to the same extent as men.
So. Basically, what the vid said.
@Mel Christensen
That's not actually accurate.
@@scocassovegetus One of my best friends is a female welder, what's your issue with them?

Ace Upsleeve I know. There’s a real hunger for her type. With some luck, a character might appear.
What?! Treachery!
The pay gap is total bullshit. This is brilliant.
I wouldn't say it's completely bullshit, as there are definitely cases where it is happening. However, I do agree that those instances are not as common as we are lead to believe, and that the bigger problem is the sexism that still exists in the workplace.
+ErykaSoleil, Im curious. "there are definitely cases where it is happening."
Where? The US ?
If so, that is a whole different topic, and one that I'm somewhat agree should be looked into if anything should or could be done (though it is market driven so hard to drive value to something that isn't valued more by the market itself)
Also, sexism that exists in the workplace?
Independent studies proving the gender pay gap in the UK:
ig.ft.com/gender-pay-gap-UK/
www.equalityhumanrights.com/sites/default/files/research-report-109-the-gender-pay-gap.pdf
www.equalpayportal.co.uk/statistics/
And before you say "these are direct comparisons, they don't take into account life choices and maternity leave bla bla" - Actually, READ the studies.

>"Also there are plenty of women who are prepared to work just as many if not more hours than men."
Yeah, but on average, women work less hours than men.
>"About 6.4% of Fortune 500 CEOs are female. that's not through lack of effort on their part, I can assure you."
Women have wombs, they are the ones who take significant time out of the workforce to have babies and breastfeed them. This obviously effects their careers. Men don't need to disrupt their careers like this because they don't have wombs and breasts.

It doesn't exist. She's an actress. Isn't feminism amazing?
Yeah obviously she's an actress. This is a comedic / satirical sketch
this is a good sketch yea. Looks like they have been listening to the conservatives

This is the interview that we need in real life but we will never, ever get, unfortunately.
Yes. It does not fit "the narrative"...
We do right here.
Jordan Peterson's interview with Cathy Newman was pretty similar. Of course this skit was written so it's more coherent than Jordan Peterson having to bat off stupid accusations and arguments from Cathy Newman but the message is still there.
OMG, even though I lean left, I have been saying this for years and getting blasted for it. Well done!
Funny how Mr Bear still hasn't addressed my point about such behaviour being illegal...
Leftie myself. Doesn't mean I cannot read facts and change my opinion accordingly. I would say that both left and right are getting too extreme.
Andy Derbyshire Everything's getting too fucking extreme nowadays. Thanks social media.
Reasoned arguments backed up with facts give me a stiffy. Good job.
Murray Illman Unfortunately I can use facts with my friends because they need to be cited in order to be "legitimized." Feelings don't need to be unfortunately so they will always be liberals and I will always be "the edgy" friend.

This is a liberal parody you know that right. Jonathan pie is 100% liberal. He just is an actual representation of most liberals rather than the spoon fed extreme liberals people on the right try to tar us all as.

This was crafted so well. Well done you two!
Totally agree. Pie will make bank if he keeps this up. Who is playing the guest? Does she have her own channel?
Seems inspired by the British The Office. And she's very good.
"Did you enjoy it?"
*no answer*
I suppose the whole thing boils down to the fact that people who fight for equality tend to believe that "equality" should benefit themselves more than others.
E1craZ4life I guess you could say that they believe some people are more equal than others
" Some are born more " equal" than others "....
Logic and Lateral Thinking you have GOT to be a MALE !!!
haha this video is not that good.
Kudos!!
Colbert probably thinks like that lady, but he sold out his integrity for ratings on hating everything conservative and Trump.
Isn't Colberts material like 99% trump now.
All he prattles on about.
I can imagine the conversation among the producers:
"How can we turn this mostly gender neutral issue into a "misogyny issue", guys?"
"I know, let's give all the boys an on-paper sex change! That makes it look like only the situation for girls is bad, _and_ it almost doubles the number of them, making the problem for girls look even worse than it is!"
"Shit, that's brilliant! Get on it!"
I just discover this guy, he is ABSOLUTLY awesome!
Wether it's pie and chips or pie and mash; PIE is a British institution.
I think everyone is so I doubt it's by discovery
me too Kim , I am astonished and in awe !
What do you mean? A feminist on TV who understand gender pay gap? Because that's covered and debated properly, isn't it?
@@quizpubbob not that deep
@@bico6685 The penny has dropped.

This woman is amazing
She's an actress.
I love her!!!
which is a shame because now feminists can dismiss every point made in the video because " she's acting" and it's 'propaganda' we need more women (especially feminists) to speak out because as soon as a man says anything they are immediately dismissed.
Just a talented actress. It was all scripted by Pie.
I'm 23 and I'm male. There are 5 woman 30+ in my office who ALL earn more than me. I wonder if it's because they've got more work experience, do different kinds of work, worked at the company longer. Let me know....
Remember when you were 13, what you could do or demand compared to what you can do and demand at 23. Guess what it increased over time.
@@Ashley-lm4nv Yea, that's the above comments point i assume. Basically reinforcing the video's message
It could be that they are earning more than you because of your suggestions or it could be the company has employed women as part of the current feminist agenda.
So you are saying that there is sexism against men in the office?! We need to address that.
I sometimes wonder if sexual favours have something to do with their promotions...
This 100% is my views
"Feminism is about autonomy and choice, not about playing the victim"
And I thought Jonathan was asking for trouble with his free speech video :D I love this video! :D
well he was, and he has had to get a lawyer to defend himself for that very video.
"fancy going for a drink after?" PERFECT xD
Chihiro Kikuchi if the guy asked it... Oof
i love how he makes the doctor who joke and she just ignores it, nice reference with "bigger on the inside".
Clear inversion of the JP Kathy Newman interview. Pure gold.
by getting rid is silly myths like the Wage Gap, we can focus on actual issues
Like why universities and schools are failing men.
And where do all my left socks go
It could be less men are going to universities because a university education no longer ensures a good job; and only ensures massive debts.
Schools however is a different matter.
+Mark Postgate
That, however from school perspective, school environment is not favorable to men.
