+Samirah Gilli Lovely Video clip! Excuse me for chiming in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Millawdon Goodbye Gray Trick (do a search on google)? It is a great exclusive guide for learning how to reverse gray hair fast without the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my close friend Aubrey after many years got amazing results with it.
it might look like a lot bc of the curls which add tons and tons of volume. she might still have thick hair (like me) but im sure that until you see her w perfectly straight hair then you wont really be able to tell
this video made me extremely happy because you really seemed to know your stuff! you did an amazing job describing the protein treatment and just everything. you really knew what you were doing. I agree that amateurs, like me, should be extremely cautious and just take the safe road and get their hair bleached professionally. I also am extremely relieved to see that someone else understands the EXACT shade of red I wanted. my hair used to be red. I wanted a bright blood red, that's the best way I could describe it. I wanted it to be blue-based but also bright and vivid. I'm assuming you may have heard of Loreal Hi-Color Lift, I don't know something like that, in red? it's supposed to be for highlighting but it's a great alternative for bleaching. it still has damaging effects like bleaching does because it still lifts, just like bleach does, but I think that using that product is actually somewhat healthier for your hair. anyway, I LOVE this video, you're amazing and you're gorgeous c:
Love the video, I just wanted to make a note about protein treatments. I personally drink protein shakes and intake tons of protein (I weight lift). Hair needs TONS of moisture/hydration as well as protein to be healthy... So. I didn't realize that, after I did my protein treatment my hair was super dry and I didn't know why until I looked into it. So yeah, if you intake tons of protein as well as add protein you could potentially dry out your hair. Just a tip :)
I know, that's why the next hair video I filmed after this was how to moisturize dry hair. But thanks! Moisture to me is one of the, if not THE most important step in caring for your hair ❤️
for the first time I enjoy hearing a lovely lady talk for a long time your words have meaning unlike most of society I love seeing and listening to educated women of color!
Wish I knew about this process when I dyed my hair bright red in high school! My hair was so damaged for years after! Your tutorial is awesome and I will definitely check out more videos!
I like the fact that you spoke very truthfully. If something was a fact, you stated it that way. And if you were unsure you stated that as well. Like when applying heat to the hair with the protein treatment, you stated that you assumed its benefit. I just appreciate an honest person in videos that are supposed to be helpful lol
Wow, thank you for this video! I'm actually going to reverse your tip on heating up your hair, because I want to color my hair pink with semi-permanent, but I'm scared, so I don't want it to last very long. So I'll be making sure only to use warm water and not hot when I pre-wet my hair!
STOOn white girls... every black woman whos kinda pretty nowadays looks like beyonce or 'riri'....bullshit.... like every asian is jackie chan lol i will never get why you dont open your eyes properly
+djanel_goldenmoon She's got a similar profile though, hasn't got anything to do with "white girls thinking every pretty black girl looks like Beyoncé or Rihanna" so excuse her for giving a compliment
I remember when I did my own hair , trying to dye my own hair. It wasn’t a good idea at all!. I had to get my hair cut real low. I rally didn’t like it like that at all. But I had to do what was necessary at that moment. My hair is growing so healthy and it’s beginning to grow. Love the red color. I am going to get my hair dyed to the color of my eyes. But this time I will go a professional . Beautiful bright color!!!.
yasssss that color poppin. ♡ I really love how informative you were in this video describing each details to the integrity of the hair and how to care for it. I'm hoping when I get my license I can do that to. I specialize in formal hairstyles I love doing updos and cuts. love color to :) UA-cam needs more people who understands the science in products and what it can do to the hair .
NOOO, it tells you to not use this product prior to relaxing or coloring!!! Its a good idea to do this a weak before color service but not the same day.
No, you are not to use this product before PERMANENT color/tinting. I am using direct dye, not color/tint. And as you can see I had to bleach my hair in order to do so. So if you read the directions, it instructs you to use this product immediately AFTER bleaching/lifting the hair color. And that's what I did.
+Brenda B. I dyed it a bright red but not all of it or it will turn green so it gos well will my auburn hair... Because if it was all light red it would be weird lol
BTW, Ion (Sally beauty supply brand ) now makes a two stage protein treatment with xanthim gum in it, (a thickening agent that increases the viscosity- making it easier to apply to the strands). it only comes in the sample packets similar to the aphogee sample packet with the included conditioner, but It also hardens with heat and has various hydrolyzed proteins. unlike the aphogee the ion protein treatment smells quite nice (floral/perfume fragrance/scent).
I wanna try the blue-based red dye to tint my hair. I don't want a vibrant red, I want something dark. I wonder how it'll show up without using any bleach or anything like that. Gorgeous results, btw!
If you want a nice dark red use manic panic pillarbox red. I used it on a black wig once and it came out like a very nice maroon colour. But I would highly recommend getting 2 or even 3 jars of it depending on how thick your hair is I have thick hair so I need like two and a half jars. Hope this helps

You obviously know what you're talking about. I'm impressed! You're so pretty by the way
+Suzie Q Thank you!

Dope curls with lipstick at the end to match the background. Coordination!

No she does not.
Chill^ in the very beginning she did.
I use bleach(usually a blue based lightening powder and a vol. 30 developer) combined with oloplex no. 3 and my hair is fine
This why you got a lot of hair😂👌🏾
+Emoji Mo Lol noooo
OMG I LOVE YOUR ACCENT!!! THE RED LOOKS AMAZING ON YOU!!

Your like.. weirdly gorgeous. like its kinda scary HOW PRETTY SOMEONE CAN BE ?!?
Thank you so much!
Love it. It turned out beautiful I think the trim make the curls look much healthier. Love it xoxo
+Vicariously ❤Me❤ Yes! Trimming away in time until all of that damage is gone!
***** I need to do the same thing so I feel ya. xoxo
Arctic Fox is another good dye that does a LOT less damage. It's organic, and has built in conditioner so you only need to shampoo before dying it. Even if that requires you to leave it in MUCH longer for the best results, it still wont damage nearly as much, if at all, than any other chemical dyes. Unfortunately, the red has an orange base, so it kinda fades to a natural looking ginger, but it's pretty vibrant until then.
The fire hair looks amazing but I really like the red
This is the first video I watch of yours, and I love your voice so much!
