Thank You Mark Linn-Baker and Bronson Pinchot for an excellent performance as Larry and Balki!
The dance of joy defines the feeling of being young in the 80s.
Thanks for putting this together, Susan! You rock! :)
100%
The dance of joy was so iconic people still reference it
4:25 I like how they shuffle away from the sofa first LOL.
They have awesome comedic chemistry. You can tell they really loved acting with each other.
and that they love/d laughing together, that they think the other is hilarious! :)
R.I.P. for those who loved this show and is no longer with us.
........
Cousin Larry was surprisingly good at the DoJ!
Well it's in the family blood lol
A real tearjerker...a Mediterranean man-child and a straight man...
Video makes me so happy, I do the dance of Joy!
How many times during our lives did we not say that now we are so happy we do the dance of joy!!!
The Dance of Joy always gets to me every time!! Puts me in a good mood even though I have a bad day
Missed the one where Cousin Larry visited Mypos to talk Balki into coming back home with him. Larry does the dance with Balki’s Mother (Also played by Bronson!) 😃👍
Say Dance Of Joy to anyone growing up during this timeframe and their mind will go to this
Bronson Pinchot is a treasure
I remember the episode where Bronson P. plays Belki's mom, and she dances it with Larry.
Now I am so happy I found this video I do the Dance of Joy
The dance of joy was so simple but so fun to watch.
Doing Dance of Joy watching this! Thanks for the vid!
Sure thing!
😅 this never gets old...😂
I have a vague memory of Larry going to Balki's home country and doing the dance of joy with Balki's mom.
Larry does dance with Balki's mom in Citizenship: Part 2 Season 7 Episode 8! I didn't include that clip because it wasn't 'Larry & Balki' doing the dance of joy in terms of the storyline. (Although in real-life it was Bronson Pinchot in the suit.) ET did a behind the scenes segment where you can see Bronson go through the process of getting into the character of 'Mama' from 1991: ua-cam.com/video/KtpuI-PtebU/v-deo.html
I loved this and looked forward to seeing it every week.
Me and friend use to do this in 3rd and 4th grade. Lol
You could never do that now. I don't even think they let kids play checkers anymore cause its too dangerous.
Should've included the one during the curtain call of the final episode.
I would have added that scene if it was included on the DVD set. I did see someone posted the story on Entertainment Tonight. Skip to 1:41 and it should be there: ua-cam.com/video/QMygmZxukKA/v-deo.html
The dance of joy is a national treasure
Love the dance of joy
Great, loved the dance of joy!!!
I was hoping we’d get Larry dancing with Balkis mom
Didn’t know I needed this
@0:45 The Dance of Joy never gets old.👍👍👍📷
You missed one; The episode where they get a security system, but the DoJ accidentally triggers it.
4:26 is my favorite one. It's the episode where Balki gains psychic powers and Larry bets EVERYTHING on the Browns vs Packers game.
The BROWNS or the PACKERS!? The BRRROOOWWNS or the PACKERS?! So many great episodes.
Greatest thing ever
0:49 "One threat of death and I was out there tapping my little feet off."
They should of come out with an animated series of this show. It worked for TheFonz and mork and mindy
Good idea
They are really like the 3 Stooges, but only 2 of them. The Dance of Joy reminds me of when the Stooges broke out in dance lol
Isn't there 1 episode where cousin Larry catches balki?
Nothing gold can stay.
What about Balki’s song while he made the bibbibapkas?
It's in a different video, a different clip. ua-cam.com/video/Ae0scjRsY-8/v-deo.html
This is amazing! 🥰😍
and for those those wondering,YES he was supposed to be from Greece, although it was never specified, you could always tell!!!
I think Balki is from an fictional mediterranean little island.
I liked him in the movie true romance
Omg I love it 😻
The Dance of joy
Balki later changed his name to Serge , moved to LA and became friends with a Detroit detective named Akwell Foley.
i think that was before the TV show.
I know they must have gotten sick of doing that.😂
Whatever Happened to the Class of '98?
what is name of that melody/song when they have dance of joy ???
Reboot Perfect Strangers
4:28 😂
@00:42-01:09
🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
Me and my friend when Tik Tok got banned
Did the dance of joy come from meatballs?
Greek?
Balki's fictional home-country was dreamed up to be Mediterranian but not Greek or any other real-life country. They didn't want to offend or get something wrong; the fictional component allowed them to be as silly as they wanted to be without having to limit themselves to any cultural realities.
Borat is a Balki ripoff
