Wishing a belated happy birthday to Sam! We are currently planning an Asia trip for spring 2024 and this vlog has given lots of ideas for our Tokyo stop. We have stops pinned in Bangkok from previous channel vids (crab rice and train night market!). We need tips for Cebu and Bohol. Love the channel, you guys are the best.
Thank you very much for the greeting 💖 How exciting! Spring is the perfect time to travel around Asia, although it starts to get humid in SEA around April. In Cebu our favorite lechon is Tatang's. Pig and Palm, Tavolata and Abaca Group's restaurants were all good last time we visited. If you have time, the beaches like Moalboal are beautiful too. Haven't been to Bohol in a while, but we enjoyed quaint tourist spots like the Bee Farm and visiting the tarsiers. 😊 Hope you have a wonderful trip next year 🤍

Great video! We are going in April 2024 (was last there in 2018) and I never got to go shopping for clothing. Will do that this time around... also love the food place by the Porsche dealer, gonna go look at some cars while we're at it!
Definitely worth checking out this time. With the weak yen, it made everything so much more affordable compared to our last visit to Tokyo. Working on our next vlog as well which features more Tokyo shopping Hope you guys have a great spring trip!

Question: as a relative film-noob, how did you travel with your film? Are lead bags still a thing?
We’re coming from Canada, so security could be a tad different. But did you ask for a hand inspection or…?
I usually just ask for a film hand check with all the film unboxed in a ziplock. Japan's really efficient and will alllow it so no worries. No lead bag because they will flag it and ask questions. Countries in the Middle East dont understand film hand check though just to let you know. I had to wait. But most Asian countries are all good! Enjoy your trip

Hi! Where are you traveling from? We were there in mid-October. The temperature was mild and sunny with one rainy day. From our friends' posts, it was extremely hot and humid in September to early October last year. 😅 We both shoot with our Samsung S phones! 😊

do you think it’s worth skipping going to meiji jingu and shinjuku gyoen to spend more time in in shibuya/shinjuku considering i’m going to visit shrines and gardens in kyoto, okayama , ueno even
in our opinion, if you are short on time and want to prioritize shopping while in tokyo, you can save the shrines and gardens for kyoto since you'll be doing a lot of that in that area. 😊

We know basic words, which are useful to look up since many Japanese don't speak english, especially in smaller restaurants. But you should be able to get around even without. They're very used to communicating with tourists.
