when Thato spoke about his childhood and how it contributed to his social anxiety ... that part had me in tears , its not okay to speak about peoples weight especially kids ..their literally trying to understand their changing bodies and you come with you comment on their body.

This episode hits so hard, from our black parents Parenting styles, to being body shamed as a child,to gaining the confidence and being able to be your own person. 💖

People like Thato and Mpoomy define authenticity and relatability in such a mind blowing manner for me. For one to be so honest of their every experience and for to have realistic impressions of each experience is beautiful. This was therapeutic for me to watch and helped me make sense of a lot of my own life experiences. Thank you as always

Thato studied a degree he isn't doing the field of work now, yet he uses the skills and knowledge from the degree. Every phase God takes you through isn't in vain in the long run. God knew us before everything so He knows why He placed us why He places us. God's timing and plans for us.🤍🤍🤍

So true. Us introverts are deep. We don’t do “small talk” yet we are so friendly. That’s what confuses people…
I can also relate to “living afraid” and also chasing something. Never really being in the moment. I find myself in a place where I want to live more and heal in the background. Not heal at the forefront whilst living in the background ❤❤❤❤

28:34: This right here hits so hard. So very hard. Even "addressing it" with the methods available and getting desired results doesn't fully erase the programming it does to a mind - lingering discomfort is the jacket you wear with every outfit to drape over the folds and shape no longer there because you are so used to protecting yourself from people picking apart the body you alone carry and live with when they leave and leave you with their words.

The conversation around weight is important. I was the chubby sibling and we all ate the same food as kids and parents but I was the fat one. So sometimes it's not that your parents didn't feed you well but you might find that you have a slight difference in how your body works. I have now realized my body works better with a plant-based diet. Thato might find he has a weakness in how his body handles certain foods. it really is a long journey to understanding what works best for your body. only in my 30s am I understanding my body and health.

Wow. This interview was/ is beautiful. I love how Thato speaks about how new UA-camrs should look into creating content that's not lifestyle content or rather content that is outside of lifestyle content. The example he made of gardening. As I was listening to him, I also started having ideas about that particular example. I truly agree and believe that what seems like a 'small' idea can turn into a 'big' thing if someone is passionate about it. Thank you for this.🥺🤲🏾

I can relate so much to what mpumi said. Being an overachiever is not nice because you don't celebrate and it's never enough. As soon as you achieve your goals and sit for a while it feels like you are a failure because you are not doing anything with your life. Which is not true.

Lesson learned: never judge a person based on one event. I actually ended up disliking him after what he did to Naledi and not defending her but I am seeing that he is creative but not a man of many words. Shy too❤❤❤❤
