    Can't say any of these are bad , vivo priorities performance over battery longevity ( heat kills batteries) , Samsung just priorities battery longevity and It makes sense I guess since they will software support it for 7 years 🤷🏻‍♂️ and vivo is 4 years IF I remember correctly anyway I think Samsung is too low . A 45 Celsius to get some more performance would make it better .. more balanced

      You can technically increase the Samsung temp tolerance with +2 °C but the Vivo was on the balanced mode as well, technically the Vivo can get higher but it'd probably throttle bit more.

    50°C is very dangerous for the smartphone in the long term 🌋

    Of course Samsung can improve the results in this test... but at what cost ? A temperature identical to that of the Vivo. Just a matter of system management. Unfortunately, we cannot have it both ways. At least not yet.

    Could you check on Vivo recording video in 4k@60 ?How long can it record in the sun? Will there be an overheating or loss of quality message? How quickly will the screen lose brightness? Also how fast you can taking picture in portret mode ? Thanks !

    Temps = how long it will last and perform at good levels. Unthrottled is not good over time. Throttling is done for a reason.

    It would be better to turn on Airplane Mode. Then the heating would be less and the graph would be better.

    Absolutely no real life scenario would require this sort of torture. Not even gaming unless you're a maniac running the heaviest games at max specs all the time with other apps in the background. Samsung doesn't want it's battery and processor to melt and as such quickly trottle the phone. We can see this as Samsung actually starts better but then quickly show reduced output. Vivo would in fact give you better performance under those circumstances. Until the phone breaks down on you that is. Anyone pushing it's phone like this regularly would struggle to have a reliable device 1 year in. Meanwhile Samsung has a 7 years projected support so we know where their priorities lie.

    The Review did not notice another important aspect of the test. The review did not discuss that Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra was consistently colder by a vast margin, which means more aggressive thermal management policy. If the phone was more liberal to thermal policy and less restrictive, i believe both phones were going to have similar temperatures with similar performance, without any significant difference in neither temperature and performance. Why Velian did not mention this? I believe it is honest innocent mistake to overlook this detail. Fortunately thermal guardian can allow less restrictive thermal management, to allow the phone to reach higher peak and higher sustained performance.

    • @VelianSpeaksTech
      @VelianSpeaksTech  6 днів тому +2

      This is not correct. 09:42 it was mentioned with max temps for both phones and S24U running 7.1 °C lower than the Vivo X100U.

    • @y_t_g3048
      @y_t_g3048 3 дні тому +2

      Well, the pont is that Samsung can't afford to allow operation with less Thermal Throttling as it doesn't have the needed cooling chamber and solutions as Vivo.
