Forget other projects FINISH the god damn Porsche.
Dom and John great work guys. Wish these vids where longer. Enjoy watching you and John work. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👏👏👏👏👏
Nice to see John back doing a great job,the panels look good Dom. Thanks for the video.👍👍
Dom. Been watching your channel for the last few months after having discovered your you tube channel from watching the repair shop here in the US.
You have a tremendous gift my friend, not only of the skills to do your incredible work but a gift of joy and connection with people that is infectious.
I look forward to seeing you pop up on my subscription feed every week.
Keep on my friend and Godspeed!
Always a pleasure to watch you and John working together. Really nice work Dom.
Appreciate it
Dom great to see the Triumph tiger on its first show and to see John back at the workshop. Great episode cheers.
Great job. Thank you for inviting me over 🌞
Christmas special in April! Flipping heck.
Like the way John sups tea whilst you weld away lo 👍
And as it was in time-lapse, he wasn't quaffing it, but really appreciating it, as you should.
Proper Yorkshire lad around the 3 minute mark Bought mi sen a wheel!
Good lad
As always brilliant, I look forward to this every Sunday. Great work Dom and John 😊
I had one when I was four they were great for bashing into walls 🤣🤣🤣
Guys always a pleasure ....the classic battle of instinct vs experience hahaha 😂
I really look forward to my Sunday fix with you guys. Thanks for brightening up the end of my weekend. Shame the little BSA has to go, but it's for a good cause I'm certain.
Great metalworking/fabrication guys. All excellent prep for the 356. Thanks for the tease too: both the 356 and the prospect of an aero car project.
Hi Dom & John. A good days work on the new pannels well done to you both.
Looking forward to seeing the boot panel made. Take care
Thanks 👍
This brings so many memories back for me , we were not a rich family but my dad used to go to auctions of big country houses inear our area and he picked up a pedal car for me , this would have been in about 1958 when i was 5 . I will not stick in and say it was an austin but it looked exactly the same with the pump up wheels bench seat working lights /horn and opening boot and bonnet just the same . the only difference i think was that mine was a 2 seater that two people could pedal . what fun it was .
Great stuff, some serious work going on with a few laughs thrown in, thanks to you both
I never thought a pedal car could be compared to the Ship Of Theseus, or My Grandfather's Axe. But there ya go - learning every day.
Great video Dom, weirdly this is fast becoming one of my favourite projects. Who new a restoration of a kids pedal car would be such an anticipated event on a Sunday afternoon. Well done Dom and John, keep em coming.
That little pedal car is going quite well
Been waiting hours! LOL! Tea time and a lesson in metal!
Great work both, have a nice day !!!. Brian Ex Rover worker !!!.🙏😀😀.
Dom brilliant work!! The metal shaping is fun to watch. You’ve already got the base of the car together from what seemed to be destined for the bin after blasting!! Great job saving it!!
Ooooooh, The bum on the 356 looks good.
Sunday Dinner and pedal car restoration
Hope you enjoy it!
I am loving this project!
Glad to hear it!
Thank you for the longer video, it was good.
If everyone watching throws in a couple of quid we'll be watchin' an aero restoration in no time !!
Impressive fabrication skills. Knowledge, skill, and inspired guestimation to the fore!😊😊
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Great video brilliant progress with the Austin good luck with the aero engine project
Thanks 👍
Thanks Dom...great to watch you and John working....spurring me on to get cracking with my own project...(2 Door Range Rover Classic).
Yet another great episode look forward to these on Sunday's
That Tiger has got the look, but you need to give it a bit more love to get it running right.
Well done chaps, great work 👍
Thanks 👍
Top work chaps as usual.
Thanks 👍
Ahhh... Wendy's back on supervising duties again! You know it's going to be a good episode when that happens. 😆 I am joking - every episode is 😘👌. Side note: You don't get paid enough biscuits to look after your boys, Wendy. Just sayin'... 🤪 x
This week's episode was a great 'un Dom. Jon's ingenuity with the bend worked a dream. I know you don't have it all sorted but what you do have right now is really starting to come together! Just think, if it looks this good now imagine how it'll look when it's finished. What a triumph (zero transport-related pun intended) that'll be! Austin Power Cars Team ARE a beaut for lending you that chassis for all those measurements.
It is sad about your BSA but you do have dreams Dom and life's too short not to see them come to fruition. We're just glad we're here to see it!
Can't wait to see next week's episode with the boot panel. You lads'll smash it!
By the way (& forgive me if this question has already been raised and answered), who will race your pedal car when it's finished?
Another great video Dom. As regards "Trigger's broom" check the history of Bentley "Old Number One". Despite significant reconstruction after crashes, in 1990 in court it was decided it was a continuing entity from when it was first built. The same would doubtless apply to your J40.
Thank you!
Sunday made! Cheers Dom 👍👍
No problem 👍
This is the best bromance on UA-cam!
I already suggested to Dom he should go home occasionally but he doesn’t seem to take any notice. Nevertheless great video Dom, nice work on the panels Jon.
Treating us with an extra long video! can't wait for an Aero series!
Thank you so much!!!
Hi Dom & John, I'm sure that's what we had in St Andrews Hospital (Billericay) children's ward in 1963. Cream coloured with red Rexene seats if I remember. Oops Matron, sorry about the burn-out marks.
Great work. What will you do with it when it's back in pristine condition? Surely not hang it back on the wall.
Nice to see all that old hardware “turning money into noise”! I do love the shape of the big red “whale”! Thanks for your continued efforts/videos. I realise brother Dan often shoots your videos, but when you do, I’ve found a handheld gimbal might be of benefit to reducing shakiness (unless you use software to do so. For what it’s worth…
Love the content - cheers!!!
Brilliant job, guys!
Nice!
Hi Dom, Great project and it’s fun! I’d ignore the triggers broom comments. At then end of the day, if it went back to Austin for a repair, and they replaced it with a panel, would it no longer be an Austin pedal car….NO, of course not. It remains true to its origin. So what’s the chuffing difference if you make a panel to the Austin spec and replace it? None, AND, you’ve saved the car! Win win as far as ny restoration goes. Save the bits you can and re-lace anything that would endanger the future user. Best of luck mate, Wayne
One more!!
Don't forget to get back to finish the Austin or something else😂
Thanks guys!!!
Well done guys great episode
Every confidence in you guys,👏👏👏👏👍🏻🤠
Great vid.
Great stuff, boy ❤
Great progress Dom . . . . excellent video.
Good one !
Enjoyable video as always, keep up the good work.
Nice, just keep doing what you’re doing and carry on.😎😎😎👍👍👍
Love the video and the new jumper. ❤️
Thank you!
You look absolutely knackered. 🫤 Take care.
Hi Dom, with you all the way looks good to me , do what you feel 😮, if it feels right go with it 😂, All the best Brian 😃
Progress. 👍
I gotta say, it really needs someone to scan the blue body and make 3D models of the sections. would be nice to see Austin cars have some more replacement panels in.
We saw the Settringham Cup last Sept. Now we want a J40! Btw, we don't have kids!
So cool dut 👍👍
Good video ❤
Cool vid cal them floor pans
I said floors!
The BBC should cut match of the day (who watches football anyway?) and give everyone on the repair shop a pay rise plus Dom and John their own series.
Well... that'll go down well with 0.001% of the population....
... The other 99.99% watch football.......!!!
I will admit restoring a pedal car is fairly niche
I watch MOTD. But it would be MUCH better if they replaced the extremely overpaid Lineker. MOTD X should be scrapped: it's just Lineker and 2 of his mates arguing the order of 10 ( pre-selected) footballers at being "best" at something.
I would imagine even the panels on the full size Austin cars from this era needed a little tweaking to fit properly.
Some of the pit holes in the body could you fill with brass save on the welding??
Dom I am watching from the northwest suburbs of Chicago USA. You should consider a race car driving school before you finish the porsche and the aerocar. I’m sure there’s a porsche club driving school . Make for a great video also.
It would be a lot of work, but it would be cool if a tape template was taken of the pedal car and turn into a giveaway so someone could make a pedal kitcar with parts they can get.
Well Sunday morning wouldn’t be complete without tea with Dom and John 🥰 …..oh, and Wendy ❤. Just love John’s ooo’s and ahh’s when things go well 👍🎉. Keep up the fabulous vids ❤️👏🏼❤️👏🏼❤️👏🏼❤️
Hi Dom. Great videos and projects as always. The Tiger doesn't seem too happy and always seems to be running rich. I can't remember if your Amal carb uses a choke cable, but if it does, are you aware that the "choke" is only off when the cable is tight, i.e. lever open? If left closed, it will likely run rough as hell. Amal carb choke sliders are slightly counter-intuitive!
Please get back on the 356!
Can the Tiger fit in the V Dub bus? Great way to get around.
Hey Dom just a thought a few episodes ago on the porche videos you had a chap that 3D scanned the body...could you not do this on the austin pedal car ??
Don't worry about the fit of the bonnet and boot lid. Even the full sized Austin wasn't that good either!
So true! Haha
Dom, be very careful there are only so many hours in a day and you could end up with too many projects and no funds or time to finish any of them.
Great advice, pace your self Dom
We’ve all been there!
I hate seeing you have to sell things to finance the new project, I know that one hurt.
Is there anyway you could start a Patreon or something for it, since I'm sure the build will be part of the channel here?
How cool is that car, I want one ! Wendy's no doubt looking forward to a drive when it's finished 😃
Great work gentlemen . It's all good practise in the art of making and repairing panels . You'll be sending the Porsche rear end back at this rate !!!! Cheers !
Hi Dom just been watching AdventureMe youtube page
Video tiled The Hidden Secrets of Bradford's SunbridgeWells and It looks like theres two off your j40 on there but they did not no what they are so I told him. There in good condition to.
Did I miss the jig making?
I'd love that motorbike Dom! I'm not really sure how to get it to the netherlands though. Does it come with paperwork?
Yes it’s got a uk v5 in my name, should be easy enough to put in a van! Come and get it!
Another great video Dom, amazing what can be achieved with the right machinery. Shame about having to sell you bikes tho!!
Thanks!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it
Looking good. he Ranalh website seems to always be sold out, and I'd have thought that could be source of money for the new car
Of course it's an Austin. Of course it is; your Austin.
Don't sell Wendy! Her stick contribution will ultimately be invaluable!
Well done. Really great progress.
Love the show, you and John make an awesome team and it’s so uninteresting seeing the fabrication 👍🏼
If you have the jigs etc , now make two of everything
Crowdfund the aero engine vehicle! Don’t sell all your toys. 👍🏽
Can I get some more info on the BSA? V5, older resto or original condition, any paperwork history etc.
Yes I’ve got the v5 in my name, not really any other paperwork to speak of, it’s a lovely bike!
@@DominicChineas tried to send you an email but it’s bounced back. What’s the best way to contact you?
Triumph Tiger ? Speed Camera Avoiding Rear No Plate location ?
Great work today gentlemen .love seeing hand skills in engineering being carried on . Shame you have to sale the BSA .if had a garage or shed to keep it i would buy it from you .
👍👍👍👍👍👍
I sist and watch the clock go to 5pm for the release. It is always a couple of minutes late getting oop norf.
10:47 - Longer not shorter 🥴
TIG welding is too hot, you need a MIG welder
That’s not true at all incase anyone else is reading this looking for tips, but thanks for the comment!
The original steel looks to be a heavier gauge than my Triumph Heralds! 😂
