I loved loved RABAT!! Morocco is a dream the trains and public transportation is beautiful. Taking a high speed train through the North African landscape was life changing for me. I am back in a few weeks.
Cheveyo was saying the same thing about the trains. It was like a dream sequence taking the train from Marrakech to Rabat. That landscape is beautiful!

We have fancy train stations in Morocco which are more modern than Marrakech one, like the one you arrived at Rabat but it s still under construction. There is another one in Rabat called Agdal train station. All high speed train stations are modern as in Casablanca, Rabat, Kenitra and Tangier.
The train stations we visited were all very impressive and beautiful. We did not get to take any of the high speed trains, but even the 'slow' trains were very nice in Morocco.

the beach in Rabat used to smell in the past that's why the poorest people were the ones moving close to the coast. But now that sewage water is filtered, the coast is getting better
This is really interesting, and it answers some of the questions we had. There's a lot of 'empty' oceanfront property in Morocco that would be in really high demand in a lot of other places.
Gosh I miss my home country and my city Rabat :( ! Enjoy the stay if you're still there and as info you missed the Andalusian Garden in Oudayah :( I was praying you'll find it because it is a hidden one and a space of cerinity. Maybe next time

Thank you, we enjoyed it a lot! I would say the only thing that was challenging for us was that we ran into a lot of scams. For example we went to a restaurant that had good prices on the sample menu, only to be given a menu with different prices when we sat down. That type of thing. The good far outweighed the bad though.

@@OnePackWanderers I'm sorry that happened to you. There's a new government and I think the current tourism minister is aware of this roblem and is going to make it a priority. The vast majority of Moroccans are hospitable and if you joined a group of Moroccan travepers as a foreigner they won't allow you to pay for anything. Unfortunately there are a lot of scumbags in the tourism industry, but not in all cities, mostly Fes and Marrakech.
@@OnePackWanderers advice for next time just avoid that place in marrakech all together, i as a moroccan went there once and never going again, enough other places that are great for tourism :P,
@@OnePackWanderers there is no dispute with Algeria, this is a Moroccan land for centuries, colonized by Spain for some decades in the 20th century, freed again by Moroccan in 1975, but the cruel European imperialist ideology aimed to keep a conflict in the old colonies by not recognizing the integrity of our territories, travel to see by yourself if Moroccan or not and how safe it is of course, BTW the trump and Biden administration recognize the Sahara as Moroccan territory (recognition not needed really but well).

We listened to some Berber music too and really liked it and wanted to use it in the video. We tried finding it but on the website that we use to get copyright free music, but they only had more Middle Eastern type stuff. Good ear that you noticed the difference! Most people haven’t, I think.

By the way, you've missed the wonderful Madrasa of Salé which has many rooms built according the Alhambra Granada palace style. This was built at the same time and most probably by the same craftsmen. Cheaper and more accessible than the Alhambra in Granada

A lot of people pointed this out so we looked into it to see why it's displayed that way. Apparently it has to do with the border dispute in Western Sahara with Algeria. So all the Western maps of Morocco look like that, for example even the ones on our phone navigation.

As a Moroccan I can safely say that Marrakech is very overrated , Morocco has so much more diverse landscape and cities to offer
True Ifrane Chefchaoune and dakhla are so much better, but if they want to see old culture and history fes is the 1st choice not marrakech

We went a few days later with friends and it was beautiful. Also, the Moroccan tea is the best we've ever had.

The train station was renovated from 2008 but opened in 1923.
The Rabat one? Our taxi driver told us the Marrakech station was built in 2016.

The map is different due to the border dispute with Algeria. Since we're from America, our software uses the American version of the maps.
