No experience ordering from AliExpress yet, but the SDG Tellis I built up for the new hardtail has been flawless. Smoothest lever actuation I've ever used, no side to side wobble, and has that thunk at full extension you mention. Plus it came with the lever & a saddle for $215. Not $100, but not bad. And I didn't have to wait 3 weeks 😁

Yep - all good. I don’t ride that bike a ton but I rode it last week and it’s fine - not the smoothest dropper ever but definitely sufficient
