1. How did you manage to escape decapition from the hunters? I think you still took damage from that attack but it didn't register as a decapition. Does this have something to do with hitboxes?
2. Do you plan on submitting this, the Carlos and (assuming you also have intentions of doing it) the Mikhail video to SpeedDemosArchive? I know you submitted your 4th Survivor run there and I'd love to see these there too.

I got a damage of that attack but I believe as I was too near of him, it did hit the belly and not the head. Yeah, I put the hunk run there last year, well I don't know if they accepts these kind runs there, because it's not a "time attack" if you understand what I mean. I do not plan to do with Mikhail, I just wanted to do as Carlos and Nicholai. I haven't played anything lately, but I will see what I can do later.. thank you for appreciation

They should remake this game, and add another story. You know how in RE2, There's Leon and Claire. They should have a story for Carlos, and add the all the moments when he met with Jill. Also the Mercenaries. And maybe if they want to get fancy, leader boards. What do you guys think?

Now its remade in 2020 and I have played it again. But it's cut short in many aspects. They should do a HD remaster of the original game like they did for RE 1. They could've made it a masterpiece but they just wanted a quick cash grab short-cut remake. Pity.

Hope they at least add different stories or mercenaries to at least fill in that gap. Definitely gonna wait for a sale cause it ain't worth $60. 6:42 I was amazed that the prisoner in this room was still alive considering how much time had passed since the game began. I always assumed it was impossible to rescue all prisoners with Nikolai because he takes so long to knife out the enemies that inevitably you would start finding prisoners already dead when you got there.

I had a friend that made like two hours with Nicholai back in 2008 he was so vicious , his strategy was to push the zombies and use the knife, and for Nemesis he roll around him and kill him with just the knife. Fuck i would like to had a camera or a way to have recorded that. That guy was incredible!!

En el RE2 el modo 4th Survivor era mas que nada una maraton, muy diferente de este.

that wasnt a normal attack. It is a finishing move by the hunter and almost 99% you die from it...

If you played the last scenario in the outbreak, you'll see him doing his thing. I think he's also looking for a way out in RE3 (as there's a fight with him while in a helicopter) and just happens that your paths keeps crossing.
No, mercenaries is just a minigame to earn points for weapons and infinite ammo. Nicholai is just running around, making sure no one survives so he can collect combat data and earn all of the money for himself in canon. Every UBCS Mercenary, Umbrella facility, and evidence against umbrella he destroys means more money for him basically. Killing jill was a secondary mission but also meant more money for him. So basically when Carlos makes it back he probably got Nicholai's paycheck which was meant to be paid toward every UBCS soldier that made it back, hence the reason he wanted them dead. But also in a way this is what they are SUPPOSED to be doing, running around saving civilians and all they managed to do was save Jill really.
This is Resident Evil. Not that garbage they're releasing as RE7.
Eh... whatever RE7's gonna turn out to be, sure as hell better than what they cooked up with RE6. Hell, even RE5 at that matter....
RE1(+ remake) to 3 followed the same basic formula with minor additions between and those'll forever be my favorites cause they felt fun.
4 was something fresh but as adrenaline pumping and thrilling of an attempt on horror, that much I can appreciate and love.
RE5 and 6 felt like cashgrab on RE title no matter how "radical they tried to change" the gameplay/ setting from 4.
At least RE7 tried something new far as I'm concerned. It may not be the best of approach but if it can give me a good scare or two, I'd say I'll take it.
The RE1 remake was probably the best, most 'survival horror' esque in the series thus far. Crimson Heads were a brilliant add in in my opinion as well. And those camera angles...
As for gameplay, I think it's fair to say RE4 is as huge as it is for good reason. Kinda wish I had some recording software; I have a friend of mine who has never played any RE, let alone a video game with tank controls. I'm gonna make him play RE4 and realize its glory!
I don't know about that. When I watch these old RE games, there are some aspects to them that are not captured by newer games. For one, the claustrophobic environments of these older games add a great deal of tension that none of the newer games could possibly accomplish. The old games really feel like survival horror games while the newer games are just different, but not necessarily bad.
+Ostrava That's exactly what i'm thinking, except that i really enjoyed coop on RE5, i spent all the summer playing with my best friend. And i don't know why but we didn't even finished the 6. That was.... well shitty
Bast f 5 had brighter environments and honestly was a more satisfying gaming experience than 6. You didn't have 3 separate plots to memorize. 5 just felt more... Fun than 6. On top of that, the secret QTE that's hidden in the final boss fight was a pretty cool touch.

Smart way of gaining time and going in and out doors to keep them away if they get too close.
best RE player in the business! after watching one of your Nicholai runs, i tried it once and copy what you did, and I can't get near on what you just did. my longest run as nicholai would be by the double Nemesis and I died. :p most of my problems include the toughness of the zombies. it takes nearly forever to kill them with a knife. (provided that I damaged them with 2 handgun bullets) could you tell me how many HG bullets and Knife attacks does it all take to kill a hunter?

I ran past all of them and also only killed enough to allow enough time for me to push through those zombies at the very end. Am always at danger health when I finish the level with nicholai
I've never played any of the old Resident Evil's only some of 4 and all of 5 and 6. I cant imagine how hard it is to play with those camera angles. This mercenaries mode actually looks fun, too bad they wont bring back the way it was before.
Of course the guy who did the run is Japanese (Biohazard name of Resident Evil in Japan) and most of the dialogues and text in the game are in Japanese, as we know only this people can do this good, congrats to the guy!
