During my addiction I also ruined my credit score doing things like payday loans, credit cards, getting expensive phones like an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy on a contract type thing and then pawning it off for the money, never actually paying the phone bill and it ends up going to collections and just shit like that. I've debated filing for bankruptcy myself but holding off for now. It's crazy what our addiction will make us do but when you're sick and need a fix you will do just about anything. Unfortunately now that I'm sober I'm having to clean up the mess I made. So I relate to you on this. I'm glad we are both doing better these days. 😊

I did the same thing in my 20s. I'd open up credit cards, max them out, do cash withdrawal, shit, "went to college" just for the loan refunds. To this day, i never repaud a single penny to those credit cards or student loans. I'm almost 40 now and I'm just getting my life and my credit to somewhere around the bottom of "good" range. I just received my first credit card in 20 years in the mail, for the sole purpose of improving my credit score. You can do it. It's just going to take A LOT of time and personal responsibility.

I recommend 1)getting a Chime account. I won’t go into what it is more then a credit builder tool.
      2) if you rent then use -rent reporters- build credit paying rent! $9 a month.
3)Self. This is a loan to yourself that you get back after each year. So it helps you save AND you build credit paying yourself:)
If you smoke tobacco then quit cold turkey right now. Also delete fast food as a reasonable option for food. You will save so much $$ on smokes and junk food money reallocated. The 3 I listed are all free and easy to set up. Facing a team of scary dragons you have a sword and your strength. Yup it’s crazy the things you think of when you are desperate for money. When I was in active addiction, what I would do is go to Walmart or Fred meyers and steal a bunch of laundry detergent and dish soap then take that up to the flea market and park in the parking lot and just sell it all for like 10-15$ under retail and man it went quick I would only have to stand there for like 10 min and they would all be gone. Granted this kinda sucked just because of how huge and heavy those items were you get caught a fair amount. I also did the return scam for a while but after a month they put in a new policy that you could only make a return without a receipt once a year so that killed that. But yeah, just a lot of stealing and pawn shops.

I hope you're doing fine and to be honest and fair, I hope you acknowledged the victims you made along the way. Ownership is important, and hurtful, but important, and the people you've hurt need that. You've probably already did that part though, as you seem comfortable talking about it ;)

So January 22nd he turned 48 by January 26, he was dead he was snorting herion with his girlfriend at his Apt. And he did the last $10 bag by himself & that bag later We found out he had fentanyl in his system. If his girlfriend would've taken the last bag with him she'd be dead to. I can't call him anymore, can't visit him, and this was in2018 So my thing is, Just Stay away from drugs! Pills lead to herion!! 👏🏿 Bravo! You've just u inspired me to get my story out there, bruv.
There was never any shame. I just didnt know how successful such a channel could be, considering the stigma that's already placed upon hardcore drug usage. But I believe I have one helluva testimony, that can potentially inspire many, while also deterring many from getting into the lifestyle at all.
*The only thing that's kinda overwhelming me(why I'm procrastinating with starting/creating my first "official" recovery/SA video) is figuring out "how to" edit the videos, having good quality in my videos, etc.*

You had money, job, good credit
....everything to lose. And you did drugs.....and you lost a lot I see....
And me? I didn't even have any thing to lose ....
I did no drugs, no alcohol,no smoking, no stealing, no crime, zero arrests in a lifetime, empty crime record, got two university degrees(almost a straight A student), speak 3 languages, 800+ credit score, nice figure, white teeth, zero debt.....
And what do I get for that? Nothing. I have nothing. I was even homeless at one point due to lack of money. No - I was never evicted nor ever late with payments. I simply struggled to find any job all my life. And the homeless situation was due to house destruction by fire, which I didn't even do. It was an accident, or rather arson made by some other neighbors.
People who always pay rent on time and go to work and do everything right, can get a fire accident (arson) and then end up homeless, or get cancer and die. (Even without accidents or diseases, I still live almost all my life from paycheck to paycheck......just trying to survive. )
And then I see people who do everything wrong, and they get to live in stable housing or have big paychecks to lose😮....they destroy their health, they smoke - and they don't get any cancer or any bad accidents 😢...
It's similar to a situation where some fat people torture themselves with restrictive diets and exercise all their life and still they can't get rid of the muffin top and flabby thighs.
While the naturally skinny ones gorge on junk food and never exercise but keep their slim figure without effort.
Life is brutally unfair. It rewards those who don't deserve to be rewarded. But it all turns around later in life. Karma is real too. Those who come out of unfair circumstances become stronger people later in life. Those who come out of comfortable and nice circumstances become losers of everything later in life.

    • @danielsinrecovery
      @danielsinrecovery  6 місяців тому

Sure enough the coke was so strong that I got up and stood at the sink& I was breathing heavy and I couldn't move, my friend Walt, came in and said what's wrong, I couldn't answer him, for 15min. I was stuck their saying in my mind 'please Lord, I don't wanna die'. Then I calmed down & went to living room and sat down & two minutes later I told my friend bring me trash can where I upchucked. I Never did them two drug's again. I damm near died!! 😢

I know the streets, and These guy's some of which have a gf maybe two blocks away doing the same thing, they need their nightcap & their wake-up bag. also I gave a guy .50cents an talked to him and plainly asked him what his vise was? He said Suboxone that's addictive as well. SMH I know most old heads or either drinker's or smoking rock, most younger peeps are doing zanny-bars or dope. All of it is a slow death!! 😢
