@@evs251 It's not a shame, it's just a cultural thing. We see it differently here. Talking a lot of meaningless small talk is considered disrespectful here, so we don't do that. We talk when we have something to say and enjoy mutual comfortable silence when there's nothing important to talk about.
Seems that U R going to Power Truck Show, go to see crazy cool diesel power from finnish drifting-team Black Smoke racing, only diesel car in drift master series👍 That Mercedes has about 1200nm and crazy LOUD antilag🖤 It's worth to check that car 🏁
The farmers often buy old bodies from trucks and convert them into trailers. In the olden days we use the wheel driving and put it to the power output on the tracror. Then you could go to 30km/h with the tractor. Put it in neutral activate the power output then let the trailer push the tractor to 70.... very illegal.
What a brilliant video Bruce you have found some real good guys over there in Finland Which I was there at the weekend in Finland 🇫🇮 to come and visit and say hi from the UK 🇬🇧 Jeep the Scania videos coming 👍👌
Most of the main modern highways get grooves filled/re-paved every 2 years or so and completely dug up and remade every decade or so depending on condition/layers and traffic. That said the whole road network is pretty slim if you look at it on a map (if you look at railway map its almost a bad joke how barebone it is) which is split mostly bethween modern properly kept roads bethween larger cities(50-70mph), old highways that existed for a long time before the modern ones(30-60mph), townroads(30mph) as far as 100%paved roads go. After that most bigger village roads are generally kept in good enough condition to be safe and there is laws to enforce them as city or private owned roads are actually resposible for possible damages even to ridiculous decrees like potholes breaking tires/axels or lowered cars crashing or getting stuck on speedbumps :D. Just as last clarification: the road system is upkept mostly by the vehicle taxation(which isnt cheap or only used for that purpose, eventho it originally was made for the purpose of paying for the development and safety of roads(in the old days people just used to blast full throttle everywhere on dirt roads(not sober))) so government/city roads have to be in a condition where no one can complain about it.
Our roads also get into bad condition pretty quickly as well. One reason being that the temperature changes are so insane, you might have -30 one day and then have it all melt just to freeze again. It really fucks the road up.
Hi Bruce, now you can see how brilliant European Trucks are, the HP is much higher than American Trucks and can Haul Enormous Loads, before I retired we had Tachographs in the UK, they record the speed, distance and hours worked. Enjoy the Show and don't break your new baby. I love Scanias along with Volvo the best trucks I have driven, keep on smoking the Tyre Companies must love you😎👍
Watching from the U.K, them Swedish dont mess around on the tools super quick and efficient.. would be nice to see Bruce in the UK, maybe a Bruce Wilson, Trucker Tim collaboration??
In the UK if we think something is good we call it "The Dogs Bollocks".I'm thinking something along those lines.Maybe the Silver Bull because it is "The Bulls Bollocks"
You can get bumpers that hitch up to the same spots but are just a big fat hunk of steel with a bolt in the middle so you can hook it up as a pusher behind a giant trailer or tow it even easier if you're losing grip on a muddy road or something. Common setup for the guys that cause entire roads to shut down for hours lol.
MAN did a nice v10. Detroit diesel also did a v8 as also iveco did a nice tasty v8. I can't believe they still use analogue tachographs abroad,in the UK we now use a tacho card.
Thanks @Bruce Wilson! , and 99% of us can understand you here in Norway! keep up the Scania stuff, perhaps you can get some Volvo too in the future! 🍻!
Yea, but maybe his vocabulary ain't that big. Not all guys are exellent in english. Maybe he's just a normal finnish redneck with a limited vocalulary, and that's ok too👍
All of Europe comes here to see the crazy merican doing awesome Scania stuff, back home and in EU! The american trucks are cool and all, but they aint no SCANIA!
Thats wild that we dont accept any 'newer' engines but will accept 'old' engines that dont have up to par emissions even from a country that exceeds our emissions 😂
european trucks have two tow points connected to the frame in front and looks like they hooked up the tow truck in those tow points, makes it pretty much best possible place to hook up to in a truck
My suggestion to the truck: Smoking scandinavian .. A mix of Finnish tune-up and swedish truck.. Quicksilver, was one thought or smokng/burning silver..But maybe sound like some vampire movie thing.
This is funny! Scania had V8 with 350 hp. I remember in the late 80´s when volvo trucks was introduced to the U.S . The U.S.drivers were complaining of the silence and the lack of vibrations. My father had a test truck with only 3 gears forward. 3 gears went into 6 and the split went into 12. All in one stic. And also the old oil hydraulic lift of the last axle turned into air lift. So with full load he could lift the rear axel to fully height with both systems. Early 90´s trucks where online! Thats when we got 700 hp and torque as hell.
Hey Bruce how are you doing today my friend I love watching our videos they are very educational videos and keep up the good work and I love the content in the videos
Pretty cool. I know nothing about trucks but have watched couple of episodes now of this. But I drove my C lisence on that ending scene city and that spot where this episode ended is locaded like 22km from where I live 😇

Bruce - Silver Ghost, Silver Spur, Silverado (rather American), Screaming Silver, Hi Ho Silver , Silver Surfer - whatever you call it - that is a mean machine.
I still think that you should have gotten 4x2 config. She is even more tail happy, cause the rear axle is a bit further back and away from the main weight of the truck
As a German and European I must say your English is good to undestand, eveb´n though your ftom the southern states!. Try to understand a Scottisch or someone from Wales. That Scania looks and sounds like a mean machien. But Scania killed my back. I prefer Volvo, Mercedes or MAN.

Bruce and Ville make for an interesting comedy duo.
I thought the same. Ville is spitting funny lines pretty much every time he talks.
Finnish guys do not talk so much, they just do things.
Yes it's kind of a shame. Complete opposite to americans who are usually very social and easy to talk to
yeah..

Interesting hitchup - I think it would be a great way to hook units together for heavy towing where they do more than one truck on a huge load !

That's an A-Frame for towing. The castor on the towed truck will allow it to turn and straighten up.
