I had the U-bolts for the headache rack on my old 352 pointing down with the nuts and plates on the bottom. It looked cleaner that way.
I thought it was supposed to be installed that way otherwise those brackets will hold water

Ratchet straps will be your best friend for holding steering wheels during rear hook up. Secures a lot better than the seat belt.
Use both! Always have a safety back up.

Its nice to see Aaron back on the channel. Put a big herd road train bumper on the tow truck that should add a little weight.
Regarding the return filter. It is what you plug in after the filter that creates the pressure. The filter must be placed last in the chain before the oil tank.

Fuel is Ballast. Forward tanks will increase your front axle weight. The tanks you got are cool and look good but in reality suck but will help some with more fuel in the tanks. Grab the axle of the truck. You bought a DTU for a reason fork a Volvo on the springs below the rear bags or from the Ubolts. Zacklift has built in Ubolt adapters on the receiver. It’s a air ride tractor you’re towing you only would need to chain one side of the front axle up.

Bruce buy some actual axel chains. Also get a safety strap for your light bar trust when I say hooking them up like that you’ll 100 percent lose it on the road

I think then you bolts are going to be a lot stronger than those aluminum brackets. I just see those aluminum brackets cracking and causing issues.

i didn't see s water drain hole in the new box - better drill one
I was thinking the same thing but if you look when they go underneath it has a hole.
When towing if you will just lift the boom and keep as much tilt out of the lift it will transfer weight to the front of the truck where it seems light

The U bolts for the header - would look far better the opposite way with the bolts and lock plates at the bottom.
The deck plate - spacers would have been far better, cutting it like that is a bodge, there are do many ways you could have spaced that to overcome the frame plate. 🫣

Polishing the tool boxes on the lift would match the truck so well but god i would not want to work around it on a sunny day lol
Ratchet strap or a lash rope through the door frame to add to the seatbelt works really well.
🤔 maybe put an emergency shutdown on the back of the truck for such cases as the hydraulic issue??
Never know when a fitting might give way or a hose or like in your case the filter.....(one VERY small crack in a seal can do one hella mess)😉👍

Imaging having that Scania doing the towing. The agility of it on a site like this one. Would drive circles around 'em both! About the return side... better check there ain't no blockage or some other stuff that allows for the pressure to get too high. As you said it: there shouldn't be so much pressure. It either generates way too much pressure or it hasn't got a good way out. (or honestly it really could have been just horrible luck with faulty seal, but for some reason I have difficulties believing that).

short wheel base will be your friend in the future. great truck but honestly. i don't see the usefulness of those long trucks
1 thing the long wheel base is actually useful for is suspended towing. Its the only thing its useful for. As the load weight is outside the wheel base.
In the US you only need to drive straight forward, so no need for short wheelbase stuff... 😂
@@Savagetechie in Europe the short wheelbase 4 axle is favourate: you can make the turns needed, and the weight is supported by 4 axles.
@@rudolfzweep8 I know, however you will notice that European recovery trucks are still long wheelbase as during suspended towing the weight is outside the wheelbase. Pulling a trailer on a fithwheel the load is within the wheelbase, not so with a suspended tow.
