Bruce is a true American patriot - instead of going "America is perfect la la la I'm not listening!" he has identified an aspect of it that sucks - in this case a huge deficit of Scanias - and tries his best to fix it!

I'm a finn, but never been in a truck show. Maybe I'll need to rectify that next year. There are few so beautiful "art pieces" in the mix. Makes me miss the days when I had a friend who drove trucks for living and I used to travel with him to keep company, since got nothing better to do. Fun times...

Funny thing is a lot of American truckers bash European trucks, they don’t know any better.
Americans seems to respect only the big apartment cab, but not the modern tech in their trucks. - Well, both could be implemented, but there's just no option to both in the US.

I've got the impression that you Bruce, are one of them guy's that likes to go all in, to say the least😂.
However, what you're doing here with your youtube channel is quite unique, bringing truckers from Europe and America a bit closer together, sharing experiences and having fun on the way is great, I'd say you're welcome back any time.

I'm little bit surprised you didn't show Iceman from ristimaa in either of your videos. Not only because it is awesome build. but because it was only fully custom HCT (tractor and two trailers) in the show.

As a UK truck fan from the 70's i think the UK can hold there own. But the Europe team are next level. Alway's like the look of the old school US truck's.
Sure US truck's have more room inside but European truck's make the best use of it.
Super truck show , these finns have Incredible trucks quite simply , it must be said that the authorized weight on the road is much higher in the north of Europe than in the south which explains the larger trailers and the V8 engines . Bruce put on an Américain - style show as they know how to do them .
The Euro truck scene is the best. Those guys take it seriously!

they seriously take insane pride in their trucks and it shows how talented Bruce is he jumps in and helps to identify problems and try to sort them out. ive seen some of those trucks in Northern Ireland
More Americans should visit Finland, it is a great place to vacation with a large percentage of people who speak English. The population of Finland is only around 5 million. Finland is also one of the newest members of NATO.

I drove trucks in Europe in late 80’ and still driving now in N.America so I know well the difference…

Yes, Sisu E18 is equipped with Cat C18. Today Sisu uses Mercedes Benz engines, but in history Sisu has used many different engines such as Cummins, Renault, Mack, Valmet, Leyland, Rolls-Royce. Some Sisu defense vehicles are equipped with MAN, Deuz and GM.

It's kinda sad that those American trucks are basically just showpieces and expensive hobbies in Finland (and probably elsewhere in Europe) because they're so impractical in size and dimensions, and unless you change to beefier axles, they can't handle the weights Finland allows for trucks nowadays. And I think they would still be limited to what they can pull.
American trucks have in general never been a success as working trucks in Europe. In addition to the length, axles, another issue is drivers comfort, like more noise in the cab than euro drivers enjoy, and old style stick shift and so on. Euro drivers likes high comfort while operating trucks. They envy the large US sleepers cab, but thats a about it.
Their is a American truck operating near where I live in the Netherlands. It haul’s excavators and stufff. Look for anema arum! Beautiful truck
In france they drive em in every day transport, i meet em quite often towing tanker trailers.

That’s why we are completely different. Our vehicles operate completely differently than foreign vehicles, because different vehicles have different purposes, that’s what most people don’t understand
@@Green-aider What about being a bigger country makes more cab noise or a worse turning radius needed? Also, one of the main problems with American trucks is that they can handle LESS weigth, not more than European trucks.

If you watch the whole video, Bruce explains that the fuel system in it is not something we use in normal use. The fire was because too much ambition, not because of bad quality.
Scanias aren't in the US because of US import regulations prohibit anything newer than 25 years being imported to protect US industries. Also the part that caught on fire was a custom part.
Loved the fast forward part of the burnout where the Scania sounded like moped.
Plus the irrony of the "save the classics" t-shirt on while one classic is on fire.

I also worked with a very close friend of mine from there that took His Mechanics training in Finland & it was so much better than here. Not only that, My 1st Pen Pal was from there & My Parents did meet Her. I learned a lot from Him. Now, My question is what part of Finland were You in?

@@ImThe5thKing Yep. There are a few Kenworths and Peterbilts here in the Nordic countries, but hardly any of them are being used in business. They are mostly show trucks, cherished by their owners, which is fine. You see them on shows but other than that, never.
iam from germany and its hard to get us cars or trucks and the diesel and gasoline prices here are so brutal that you only drive cars with small engines and that sucks
Peterbilts in Europe is probably like Scanias in the US. You have to be a huge fan of the brand to import one. But all things Americana is huge in the Nordic countries. There are probably more pristine 50ies and 60ies restored American classics in the Nordic countries than in the US. Even though almost none of them were sold new over here in the Nordics.

Water is good. If you leave any of the extinquisher crap there, it will corrode badly.
