Just a heads up for anyone who’s testing at this location soon- I took my test last Thursday (August 11th) and they had me do a slightly different route. It did involve the alternate Weber route that’s been mentioned in the comments here (where you go from N Miller, left turn onto E Weber, right turn onto N Scovel which goes through a 15mph school zone, right turn onto Valerie, and a left turn back onto Miller) but there were also one or two lane changes and some left turns throughout the test route. When I first left the MVD, instead of going down McClintock and making a right turn at the intersection on Curry, they had me do a right turn on E Weber into a residential area, then a left turn onto N Staden, then a left turn out onto E Curry. There was also a left turn at the intersection on E Curry and a left turn on McClintock. They also didn’t have me do parallel parking at all and it didn’t look like anyone else who was doing their road test that day did parallel parking either as there were no cones out and every car I saw that passed their vehicle inspection just went straight out of the MVD with their instructor. Instead, the instructor just had me reverse about 15 feet or so along a curb in that residential street we turned into (E Weber). I don’t know if that’ll still be the case for future test takers or if they alternate it with the parallel parking but I just thought I’d put that out there just in case
the exact same happened with me today! Also i felt that twice or thrice he told me to take a right turn with very less time available. so i ended up making a jerky and wide turn and i failed :(
Thank you for updating, it helps me a lot. I took the road test today, and there are several changes after you go on the Miller Rd. DMV - McClintock Dr - E Weber Dr (parallel parking, close to the curb as possible as you can, then back up) - E Curry Rd - N Miller Rd - (New! Left turn!)E Marigold Ln - N bridalwreath - E McKellips Rd - (Left turn!) N Miller Rd (school area) - E Roosevelt St - Hayden Rd (McClintock Dr) - DMV. The examiner looked strict in the first impression but was actually very patient, she even kept teaching me when I was doing parallel parking and going through the school area. Like a tough mother, I would say.

I had to brake here (SUPER gently, I had just started moving) which put me idle about 1/4 of the way into the (currently empty) neighborhood 3-way intersection for no more than a second. The DMV employee noticed this braking but not the rest of the situation (was distracted writing things on clipboard) so I guess this immediately qualified as a "dangerous situation" and an instant fail. Really making me consider what a "dangerous situation" should be, because had I continued into that turn I would have been hit, and the only mistake made was really just not being far enough into the intersection to see everything. It seriously annoys me that had that car not HAPPENED to have been there, I would have passed. Test administrator didn't ask for context or even specifically tell me this was the mistake, just that a dangerous situation was an instant fail and everything else was fine. Of course I knew my mistake and assumed this was the situation. I had some other problems with the DMV employee (who was new) being very strict but misleading and outright mistaken with some directions. I'm retaking the road test next week at chandler (which is closer to me, was temporarily down this week) with hopefully a more competent DMV employee and better community driving altogether (I saw some TERRIBLE Tempe drivers during and before this test, forcing me to be extra cautious). Some guy almost hit me when I came out of that first stop sign out of the dmv (I was thinking I’m going straight and he’s making a left into the dmv so he has to let me go first) and he cut right in front and I had to slam the brakes. I was really hoping the instructor didn’t think that was my fault hah. They also made me take a left down the tweaker street, going into a school. I got marked for going slow (I was going like 32 in the 35 but whatever) and for going to slow on turns. I was just trying not to go into the bike lane or the the 2nd lane. Thanks for the video it helped a lot!

Just did my test today.
It’s kind of crazy how easy some of the road test are. One of my coworkers got her license and she’s only driven a handful of times in her life and has never driven at night or on the freeway. But I guess at some point nobody did and we all have to start somewhere.
Thanks so much for this. Did you witness them doing a parallel parking test and a 3 point turn or just one of them?
Arianna Reedus only parallel in Tempe. No 3pt turn here.
This test is not This easy they make you do left turns right turns and parallel parking. I also went through a school zone and almost failed because I forgot to slow down. I passed though lol.
Can you elaborate which turns were different? And congrats on passing
Do they still make you Parallel park at this location?
Last I heard, yes. I am 80 percent sure
@@plopping-wetlyacademyofmot9639 okay thank you, wish me luck on my test this Monday
@@Khenshaw good luck 👍 no speeding. Real stops at stop signs. You will make it. Take your time and dont rush
@@plopping-wetlyacademyofmot9639 wanted to thank you, I passed the test yesterday and used the alternate route somebody else talked about!
@@Khenshaw thank u for the update, and congrats!
They failed me twice at this location. 2nd time they failed me I went to a third party the same day and they passed me. This location is a joke
They are all a joke to me. What did the first ones fail u for?
@@plopping-wetlyacademyofmot9639 both times for being too fast on my right hand turns and today for hugging the center line which in my opinion I did neither. I went to a third party on Gilbert and Main and passed it easily. Love the videos and helped me pass my test today
@@devilback1485 Thank you for the update. Drive safe out there
Did you have to do a 3 point park?
@@devilback1485 did they make you 3 point turn or parallel park at the third party
Muchas Gracias 🤗
What is the nameof thus dmv?
It's the ADOT motor vehicle division 1703 E Larkspur Lane.
@@plopping-wetlyacademyofmot9639 thank you
Do they do parallel parking here or 3 point??
@@naomigrant1136 parallel
I'm surprised people have their licence but drive horribly
💯
@@plopping-wetlyacademyofmot9639 I had question, how do you learn your streets quickly?
@@soilder_75k it took me a few years. It's a big city. Learn the local area around you first, then how to identify North, South, East, West with landmarks nearby.
Then after you learn how the grid system works it will make sense. But don't rush. It can take a long time for a city this size
Did they change the road test recently or is it still this easy?
Even easier now no parking test.
Did they change the route or add anything? Do they still do this route?
